The Power(Harry Potter/The Gamer)

Trait: Kaleidoscope Shop
Reveals a new menu...this mystical virtual store allows the user to purchase items from othe universes, including items from the near future of those universes.

Item cost is greatly increased, and magic items from metaphysically different universes will simply refuse to work, lacking the underlying foundation provided by their home universe.

Practically, this is only useful for obtaining non-magical items (specialized tools, crafting materials, weaponry) and information (such as textbooks, foreign works of fiction).

Trans-universal shipping is unreliable, however...you'll always get your product, but when you'll get it isn't a given. Delivery time could be up to a year after the purchase is made...and could be delivered to anywhere from your mailbox to a mousehole in your bedroom.

Still, it's the only way to get certain unique items...

Heh, just because magic likes to throw universal constants over the table and rough ride them... doesn't mean that science either doesn't or can't apply.

As for the spell, well Knight, you're obviously more patient than I to have memorized everything about D&D... I only know that it exists, and that it's called a table top RPG.

I've been playing D&D and other tabletop games since 1996.

What time Stop Does in the context of D&D is it gives you 1d4+1 Free Rounds to act. Nobody else can act during these rounds and you can't take hostile action. If you take hostile action the free rounds end. However this doesn't preclude you from healing, buffing, or running away.

Perks/Traits Ideas...

2. Pause button (cannot effect real world while in use, but does allow breathing space, and time to think.

Mini-Homura Mode?! Yay!

Shooting out some bullets/grenades/bombs/missiles/mortars/nukes! They don't affect the real world! And then the timestop stops. And then they do. Muhahahahaha

It's so far beyond the science that we understand that it's indistinguishable from magic; much like the science behind power rings. Aka stop trying to impose energy costs that are ungodly on something because scientifically it wouldn't be possible without banks of ZPMs with our current understanding of science.

Rodent Roundup pt. 2
You fall silent, trying to order your thoughts and figure out the best course of action. After a couple seconds you think you have it.

"Okay. Susan, if you would please get started on a letter to your aunt. I think an animagus hiding on the Hogwarts express is rather definitely something the DMLE should handle. Draco, if you would see if you can find someone else with an owl, maybe a couple someones, so that we can inform other people."

Susan nods at this and sits down, after standing on a bench to fetch some paper a quill and some ink from the overhead luggage racks. As she starts writing Draco seems to recover his wits.

"Why should I do that, Potter? Who are you to give me orders like that?"

You stare at him a couple seconds before shrugging and replying, "Well, nobody I suppose. I'll just ask Ron to do that instead." This gets a smirk from Ron and a scowl from Draco, then both of them move to leave the compartment, causing a brief scuffle at the door. After that you continue, "Hermione, Neville. If you two would let a prefect know about all this? Try to find one who isn't... Um... Find one who seems sensible and polite."

Hermione seems a little confused at the mention of the sort to find, while Neville just smirks. "Not a Slythrin then, got it." And then they're up and heading out of the compartment, in a far more orderly manner than Draco and Ron had.

"Hannah, could you see if you can find someone with a camera? Muggle or wizard. I don't know how to keep him from turning into a rat again, beyond keeping him stunned and all. So if we can get some photographic evidence then it would help in the event he does get away."

Hannah manages to look both unsure about leaving Susan's side, and incredibly pleased that she's being given a task by the Harry Potter. It's a very odd look. But none the less she complies.

This leaves you almost alone in the compartment, just a Susan busy with writing and an unconscious Peter. So you take the time to cast another couple of spells. The first is a body bind on Peter, ensuring that even if he wakes he'll be unable to move. The second is cast on yourself, this one the ESP spell you picked up. Immediately you start to pick up on thoughts of those around you. Namely Susan.

Let's see... Dear Auntie... Been an emergency... Peter Pettigrew... Merlin! Peter Pettigrew not dead! But if he's not dead then what about Sirius Black? Oh, but the way Harry handled him! Just like the books! Guess Auntie was wrong about those...

You... Think it's best to tune out her thoughts at that point. You don't need to hear where that's going. You really don't. Instead you fetch some parchment of your own so that you can start to write out a couple letters yourself. After a few minutes of thought you decide to write one to Moody and one to Dumbledore.

Once you've finished people start to trickle back in. First is Hannah with a person in blue with camera, though due to how old it looks you suspect it is a wizarding camera. With barely a second thought you idly scan their minds.

Oh, I hope Harry knows what he's doing! He certainly sounded like he did. But this is big... Beyond what we should be doing. But then, he is Harry Potter. This is probably just another Sunday for him.

I don't know why that firstie wanted me to-Holy shit, why's that man unconscious? Maybe I should-That's Peter Pettigrew! And that's a Dark Mark! But if was a Death Eater why would Black attack him after betrying the Potters?

Well that's... Interesting. But you don't have much time to think on that, as Ron and Draco both return. Ron is followed by a taller boy in red robes with a shiny badge attached, who in turn has an owl in a cage with him.

"Harry, this is my brother Percy, and his owl Hermes. He's also a prefect so... You know...."

Draco speaks up at that point gesturing to girl who followed him, who is also holding an owl. "This is Gemma Farley. Slytherin Prefect with her owl. And I'm sure it's better than anything the Weasleys could afford." This statement is followed by both the Weasley boys glaring at him and the female prefect rolling her eyes and shaking her head.

You ignore all that. "Excellent! I have two other letters here. Susan, if you could send your letter off with Percy's owl, I'll send one with mine and another with Miss Farley's." Susan nods and takes the owl from Percy, something that he doesn't complain about. And judging from the slightly sick look on his face each time he glances at Pettigrew it would seem Ron filled him in. Gemma also hands over her owl without complaint, though it seems she's much more composed than Percy. Though her thoughts tell another story.

Holy crap! I'm helping Harry Potter! With capturing a Dark Wizard! This should get me some breathing room in Slytherin... And Potter... Well, he's young, but if what Malfoy said about how he handled things is true-

You tune her out there. Quite enough of that, thank you. Instead you just focus on getting the letters sent off. After the last owl is out the window, with a bit of struggle to compensate for the speed the train is moving at, Hermione and Neville return, followed by two others. One is in yellow and the other blue, and both have badges on, though these badges are different from Percy and Gemma's.

"Harry, these are the Head Boy and Head Girl."

You nod before explaining the situation to them. After that they glance at each other before nodding. The one in blue starts to cast spells, enlarging the incredibly cramped compartment with magic. The other starts to cast spells at the man on the ground, ropes springing out to wrap around him, along with other effects you don't see immediately. After the compartment is enlarged the one in blue looks at the one in yellow before saying, "I'm going to go speak to the conductor. He has a way to speak to Hogwarts. Owls are a good idea, but this will be a bit faster.

After some time the train slows, then stops, and you can hear confused sounds from upper years along the train. Then the compartment door is opened and in walk Amelia Bones, Albus Dumbledor, and Alastor Moody.

Naturally, you immediately point your wand at Moody and demand the password. Something that earns a nod from him as he asks, "How's your puffskien doing?" And with a sigh you lower your wand.

While Dumbledor chuckles softly and Madam Bones reaches up to pinch the bridge of her nose.

He's turning him into a mini-Moody...

After they look over Peter and confirm that it is indeed him they turn to you and ask what happened. You...

Shouldn't Madam Bones have some mental defenses? We shouldn't be able to read her mind at all.

[x] Tell them everything except the gamer power. Where THAT is concerned, you don't lie, just claim it's a secret and let Moody back you on the secret. Or tell them if he thinks them trustworthy enough, on the basis that anyone Moody thinks is trustworthy enough is basically unimpeachable.

They have lie detecting spells. Lying anywhere here could mess up our entire effort to be taken right.

We'd still make them throw up a few defenses first, yes?

EDIT: Moody warned against telling big D? Eh, then I'll go with this.

Lie detecting spells? You mean like veritaserum which ISN'T even used in murder trials?

Moody already warned against telling Dumbledore and he's not going to be willing to be excluded.

Telling these people makes no sense; if it goes onto a slip of paper at the Ministry it'll take roughly a day before Lucy knows about it and then as soon as Voldemort comes back he knows it.

If Dumbles thinks Snape MIGHT need to know he'll tell him and then boom DE's know about Harry's power.
