The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

Space Hulk Operations: Through extensive practice, the Marines of this Chapter are masters at fighting in the unique conditions of Space Hulks.
... This is going to be exceptionally useful for general anti-Ork void warfare, Space Marine variant, as well as both Chaos and WAAAGH!!! Headhunter missions when they're on the attack, isn't it?

Because Chaos and Orks both love making use of Space Hulks for their 'major' offensive units, particularly with how they also serve as army-scale landers, just add said army and (minimal) crash bracing (in the areas the important people and machines are). The general boost against Orks when boarding is just due to the fact that Ork ships tend to look like the Orks literally just broke a ship shaped chunk off a Space Hulk (and not necessarily one that was originally either a ship or a single ship at that), only to whack it once with a wrench and call it 'Good 'Nuff for da Boss'.

...that Machine Spirit is definitely an AI.

Still, thank god that it's actually friendly kinda like the Votanns.

Maybe it is, maybe it isn't - the Mechanicus certainly don't think it's an AI, from how it behaves. Regardless, it's on humanity's side, and has the approval of the Emperor - which is itself usually seen as proof it isn't an Abominable Intelligence, given he doesn't exactly like those.

Interesting, but I'm kind of curious as to what led to the Wardens being so conscientious of civilians? Also, wondering who they don't get along with. I could see them having some serious issues with the Iron Hands.

.....I find my self dissapointed to be honest. This proves the usefulness of Hyper Boarding specialists but they were to Codex compliant to genuinely use it to alter the setting.

My ideal really is an legion spread out across the Imperium who are good enough to make hulk clearing routine and hard enough to be able to be dropped on a crusade and butcher traitors in their ships.

Probably the fact that grimm paid a lot attention to them in his desire to vent about guliman being lost
also that Papa Dorn was literally looking over their shoulder going: "Remember this is Uncle Robute's home, be nice and polite with his kids and make sure to look after the pets, I'm trusting you with looking after them in my stead while he is in the hospital. Gruncle Grimm made sure to pack everything you need, now take care and remember to have fun."

Man 4 STCs are like, a really big deal and the thing is that they are all clean and well not broken in 40 thousand parts, i will not be surprised if the cog boys literally kiss the ground of those Astartes, i do hope that at least this goes to other Forge Worlds or at least go to our cousins that we have good relations, because their techmarines would love to build this, i hope that more than just us have this sweet STCs.

That's what the blueberries get for rejecting glorious melee
The opposite, most Fire Warriors died by charging Eternal Guard with combat knives. Because Tau do in-fact do melee, they just trained with ranged combat first and foremost.

But yeah, Tau in canon do charge Astartes with combat knives when forced into close combat, hence the death toll against Eternal Guard who's whole strategy is forcing ranged enemy into close combat or nullifying ranged support.

For example, here's official picture with Tau Fire Warrior charging White Scars.
There also descriptions of Fire Warriors using their pulse rifles as makeshift clubs and bludgeoning enemies to death when out of ammo.
Though he and his fellow fire warriors fought well, the Be'gel worked their sheer weight of numbers to full advantage, slaying both tau and kroot alike at close quarters. Their fate sealed, Kop'la's la'rua fought a final, desperate stand a top a rocky outcrop on the arid world's desert plains, each of his brave fire warriors falling in turn until he was the last one left standing against a horde of the debased alien beasts. Firing wildly, he felled many of the orks but still they pressed on, clambering over the corpses in their frenzied attempt to reach him. His weapon ran dry and, as he was about to start swinging his pulse rifle as an impromptu club, a blow to the side of his head cracked his helmet and smashed him to the hard ground.

Early encounters with the Tau end supremely badly for the young alien species whenever the Eternal Wardens get involved, as the latter's shockingly skilled tactics to board Tau ships, and the commensurate utter slaughter of the occupants, lead to 13 of the most bloody battles in the Tau Empire's history - only the last of which had any survivors, the Tau only discovering the results of the first twelves via examining footage from the shattered remains of their fleets.
Commander Farsight Origin story

KNIVES!! really? points for the balls to charge an astarte with a knife but that doesn't change the fact the Tau are a joke in melee against practically every other faction

Yeah, don't be surprised given their psychical strength on average is below trained human. Hey, at least they try to fight and not just roll over and die.

I imagined SuperAnchors reading that in his Dorn voice and it made me laugh so hard it woke up my dog.

Noice, all around decent chapter that plays the key function of being perfect guard dogs. Realm of ultramar all you need now is guilliman waking up and reinstating the tetrarchs system and you are once more ready for war on galactic-scale

edit: voting open?

Anti - Tyranids chapter next?
I mean as far a I know their intergalactic threat so we should be prepare in advanced..

Also question but how do we get access to Titan? Or do we don't know how to get any?

I mean Warhound titan should be doable to get right?
Let's do a dreadnaughts chapter mostly non organic iron hand and unwilling to submit thanks to the power of steel
