The Long Founding (Warhammer 40k)

We need to create a chapter that will result in having an apothecary specialist training for the chapter, then we must create a blood angel successor with Counterintelligence Training and apothecary specialty.

[ ] Plan: Ultramar Defense
- [ ] Aid to Ultramar: The Ultramarines have finished the Scouring but still have a great many commitments elsewhere, leaving quite a few holes in the defenses of the Realm of Ultramar. Another space marine Chapter in the region could help alleviate that, and ensure the safety of the 500 Worlds.
Goals: Choose a home planet with the 'Ultramar' tag in the next chapter creation.
- [ ] Extra Dreadnaughts: The Chapter has more Dreadnought hulls than normal, letting it field more of the venerable ancients… if it has enough wounded veterans to pilot them, of course. 5 Points.
- [ ] Extra Vindicators: This chapter has greater access to the Vindicator siege gun than most. 5 Points
- [ ] Extra Predators: The Chapter has access to more Predator Tanks, allowing them to engage in armored warfare with better facility. 5 Points.
- [ ] Potent Gene-Seed Charge: Some samples of a chapter's gene-seed are more likely to retain their stronger traits, and you have isolated such samples. 5 Points for each charge. Burn a charge to make the chapter roll for two traits from their parent legion.
- [ ] Adaptive Gene-Seed: Some samples of Gene-seed are more capable of adapting to different conditions on different planets. 5 Points each charge. Burn a charge to roll an extra planetary trait.
- [ ] Extra Trainers: With some extra effort and yelling at a few more bureaucrats, you ought to be able to arrange things so the new Chapter is able to get in some extra specialised training before proper deployment. 5 Points. Burn 1 charge to get an extra training option.
- [ ] Crusher Pattern Dreadnought: A strange take on the traditional Dreadnought concept, where the lower half of the body has been replaced with treads. This makes the chassis incapable of fighting in doors (for one thing, it can be defeated by a single set of stairs), but in turn the upper half is even more heavily armored, possess greatly enhanced weapons packages for its limbs, and even has a pair of massive heavy weapons mounted on each shoulder. 10 Points

This is my plan for an Imperial Fist chapter.

[ ] Cold Shower:.... Fine, you'll admit it - as annoyed as this barrage of near identical requests from an organisation that increasingly comes across more as squabbling children than the elite protectors against the darkness Malcador tried to build, that actually is a good project name for a suggestion about a Chapter for fighting Slaanesh.
Goals: Create a chapter specialized for fighting Slaanesh.
I have the perfect idea for this one.

Imperial Fist successor (Tell everyone they're Ultramarine descended anyways)
Planet: Fleet based
Name: Grey Sentinels
Chapter Colors: Unpainted
Chapter Symbol: Black fist on grey background
Chapter Creed: "For the Emperor!". All the time. Way to damn often. Its nearly all they say.

Extra Training:
Blademasters
Marksmen
Equipment:
Extra Rhinos

Behold, the most forgettable Chapter to ever exist. Famous for shooting and stabbing good they rush at their enemies in metal boxes shouting "For the Emperor!" every 5 seconds. There is not a hint of originality in this Chapter and it is said that their entire existence erases itself from the minds of anyone who has ever seen them.

You know what I hate most about them is this is one of the most viable options for such a request

Okay new plan
[] Plan: F*** Fulgrim
-[ ] Aid to Ultramar: The Ultramarines have finished the Scouring but still have a great many commitments elsewhere, leaving quite a few holes in the defenses of the Realm of Ultramar. Another space marine Chapter in the region could help alleviate that, and ensure the safety of the 500 Worlds.
-[ ] Traitor Legion Geneseed: If you wish, you could gain access to the gene-seed of the traitor legions, each will have its benefits and costs, but all of them will have their gene-fathers concealed for practical reasons - little point creating a Chapter only for them to be wiped out by some overly paranoid fool. Write in a traitor legion. 10 Points for each time this is taken.
--[]Emperor's Children
-[ ] More Equipment: You've managed to secure extra equipment for a chapter. 5 Points. Burn 1 charge to add an extra equipment slot for the chapter.
-[ ] Extra Trainers: With some extra effort and yelling at a few more bureaucrats, you ought to be able to arrange things so the new Chapter is able to get in some extra specialised training before proper deployment. 5 Points. Burn 1 charge to get an extra training option.
-[ ] Adaptive Gene-Seed: Some samples of Gene-seed are more capable of adapting to different conditions on different planets. 5 Points each charge. Burn a charge to roll an extra planetary trait.
-[ ] Legendary Gene-Seed: The finest Gene-Seed ever recovered from a given legion. 15 Points per charge, Burn a Charge to add a legion's legendary traits to the roll list for that round.

I think Grimm would be incensed enough against Fulgrim just to make a chapter whose only purpose is to defend Ultramar. And the fact that they're emperor's children is just icing on the cake.

I imagine thats also why you didn't put Fist, Angel, or Emperor in the name?
Putting one of those in the name would connect them, even vaguely, to something interesting. The Imperial Fists are cool, same with the Blood Angel / Dark Angels, and the Emperor is naturally super interesting. Grey Sentinels does nothing. It is the most generic name physically imaginable. There is the color Grey, and Sentinels. The name is made to conjure nothing to distract you from the mind annihilating blandness that the Chapter is.

The only way I could make them even better at their role is to add Dark Angel gene to the mix in order to make them ultra paranoid that their deep dark secret (being an Imperial Fist successor) will be discovered

Yeah. Anyway, I think putting Emperor Children successor's on Ultramar to help defend it is unironically good idea. De facto putting any non-Ultramarine descended Chapter to help defend Ultramar is good idea, I'm either for Imperial Fists or Iron Warriors personally, for obvious reasons.

Most Chapters are descended from Ultramarines, for example, in the most recent show, Ultramarine Apothecary Brutus comments that three in four Chapter descend from Ultramarines.

It's kind of insane just how much Ultramarines have to give the rest of The Imperium. So we shouldn't just aid Ultramar by creating another Chapter but also by taking some weight from their shoulders, by being from different geneseed, rather than yet again, forcing Ultramarines to give geneseed that could be used for their new recruits, for creation of yet another Chapter.

[X] Plan: Scottish Cyclops
-[x] OP-4: The Assassinorum wants a chapter of Space Marines to practice against… Including combat trials. They have vowed to not actually kill them all and render ALL OF YOUR WORK POINTLESS. How... kind of them.
Goal: Create an anti-stealth Chapter.
-[x] Secondary Gene-Seed (Insert Legion Name): The key component for creating Chimeric Gene-Seed. You're honestly surprised Guiliman approved of this one - then again, you did hear him grumbling about some idiots who were suggesting mixing Night Lord and World Eater templates, so maybe he just wanted to make the concept your problem before somebody did something completely moronic. 25 Points for one charge, choose 1 legion to be the donor for the secondary Gene-Seed. Burn 1 charge and traits from the donor chapter are added for a roll, or a separate charge of potent gene-seed can be spent for a separate roll on the donor legion's trait list as well as an acquisition of the secondary legions 'base' traits.
--[x] Thousand Sons
-[x] Potent Gene-Seed Charge: Some samples of a chapter's gene-seed are more likely to retain their stronger traits, and you have isolated such samples. 5 Points for each charge. Burn a charge to make the chapter roll for two traits from their parent legion.
-[x] Adaptive Gene-Seed: Some samples of Gene-seed are more capable of adapting to different conditions on different planets.

The idea is to pick the Scottish sounding planet next to Fenris, and doing a Thousand/Salamanders mix. The OP-4 is to give the sons of Magnus and Russ something to bond over. And hope the Psykers pick up more shamanic traditions like the Wolves.

Okay, I love that! I really really love that! Ha! If there is a black one-eyed Astartes who enjoys explosions, drinking alcohol and using sword that make him stronger with every decapitation, I am 100% in that plan!
Yea, that's the thought lol. Especially since the Wolves are known to drink. The sword thing made me Think of World Eaters because Angrons originally ability was taking others pain so Thousand/Eaters could potentially absorb warp energy but that sounds like a bad idea.

I think it would actually be a good opportunity to do the Ultramar defense option. Reason being that iirc Ultramar ends up getting weakened later on. Having Ultramar end up surviving in a lot better shape would be a lot better for the Imperium in the long run.

Besides that it lets us be more free in how we build our next chapter since there wouldn't really be any super strict requirements for said chapter.
