Hisana and Jiraiya walked out in the open, and Hisana's mind wandered a little. Chakra armour in the vein of the Land of Snow's was probably a very difficult project, but either learning or making a jutsu formula for Earth Release chakra flow was a much simpler affair. The Uchiha vaults had some chakra-metal armour, and whilst she had once avoided it because of how it would've slowed her, she was strong enough these days that it was basically a footnote.

She would have to work on it after the mission was over. She knew that Earth Release chakra flow would let exceptionally well-made chakra metal weapons stand up to the impacts of even the highest levels of ninja combat. It only made sense that it could do the same for armour.

Those powerful lightning techniques that can punch through Earth-Flow-reinforced chakra armor wouldn't happen to be countered by a Wind Shroud layered on top of the armor, would they?

I really don't think think that this is the approach Orochimaru or a member of Akatsuki would take if they were here to kidnap Naruto or Sasuke or try to kill Jiraya. Most likely it's some moderately powerful criminal or one of Jiraya's spies. That said, the whole over-eager to pre-empt an attack would look really good in an animated scene, it's something I could see in an anime.

So Jiraiya seems pretty sure Tsunade could mine Hisana's notes for improvements to her own techniques. Neat.

For the vote- there's tons of valid arguments either way.

A bodyguard probably would strike first- and while a bodyguard likely wouldn't have Hisana's level of chakra sensing being observant is a vital skill for guarding. Just because Hisana first noticed the approach from her sensory abilities doesn't mean it couldn't be noticed in another way. So I don't think reacting to and countering the approach would blow her cover.

Complicating this is a few issues- like that we don't actually know its an attack. They're approaching at combat speed- but that could also be, say, 'urgent message' speed. Probably not, but something to be aware of when considering an 'attack first ask questions later' perspective.

Two- assuming this is an attack, knowing who they're attacking is extremely valuable. Like in the Wave Arc in canon where Kakashi chose to fake his death to figure out the demon brothers' target.

However, what makes this situation different is that Hisana has a cover to keep- judging by her thoughts she seems pretty damn certain she could take whoever is approaching, with the caveat that she's uncertain whether she could do so without blowing her cover. Now, I think there's actually quite a lot Hisana could do in combat without drawing on explicit ninja techniques- She's in more or less full body armor right now so her strength and speed enchancing seals could be mistaken for 'just' being a ludicrously good samurai if pushed to that. But it is a risk, and one that's explicitly ameliorated by a preemptive strike.

Really can go either way here- I think I'll hold off until I see more arguments.

@Tekomandor 10 xp from Better Nature to Sealing, please, because its consistent with what the omake was about. The 10 xp from Unwanted Letters I'm a bit more unsure about because it doesn't track cleanly to a stat, but I'll just say Strength because we'll need it at A-rank eventually regardless.
 
Ummmmm chakra sensing is actually a fairly common mutation among chakra using populations, to say nothing of enhanced senses and sensory techniques. It would stranger for a bodyguard to NOT have something like that.

chackra sensig fairly common? what are you talking about? the only once in canon that have it are A) Karin, B) Sages and 3 some other Hokage level ninjas like minato and tobirama, I wouldnt call that common lol
 
Many Yamanaka including Ino and her Father, many Uchiha even with the eyes off, Moegi, sensor types are a known thing that just pop up in chakra using populations.

Actually Iruka had it even if he had to lean on a technique to do it. Some Ninjas might not have the outrageous abilities of Karin but they have a jutsu filling in.

In seeing red it's mentioned to be a rare trait. Like it's not something that you will never run into but it not common.

I think this is new?

This means that someone with minimum S-rank capacity has a total of 470 chakra instead of 310- and adding 90 more for an even 400 actually gets you to 920. Explains how people like Kisame exist without chakra storage seals I suppose.

Final Hurricane has doubled in strength to 500, still in units of 50- so 10 chambers. Our total capacity then is 625, still solidly in S-rank even with the new changes. (Specifically we're at an effective rank of 341.)



(Also I kinda love that the Final Hurricane Seal is on version 4.0 )

seriously Imagine her going up against someone that tries to block because she's known for her speed and not strenght, they go for a sword block of the...literally 12yo girl and barley get their sword up in time... the next millisecond their arm is broken in 3 places as well as 7 of their ribs their own sword has made an imprint in their chest and they are halfway to the horizon from where the clash started lol
