I'm not going to weigh in on the logic of either side's arguments, but I will ask that everyone read over what they write and really consider if the words they used are polite and won't be inflammatory intentionally or not. You cant account for people's tolerances perfectly but at least try to say your piece without saying things that can be easily construed as overly dismissive of the other side of the argument, thank you.

As Snorri's presence seems to help her, likely by claiming the Winds around her, allowing her to incorporate a substance that excludes the Winds may do the same.

We just need to up our adamant production a lot.

Provided she could digest it with her being a shard dragon it should replace her scales and teeth with Adamant overtime.
 
Why even put runes on the scales?
Every reptile sheds during its life, and I assume dragons are the same. They would eventually disappear in a couple decades, which makes them shoddy work by dwarf standards. Better to put them on items that the drakks can wear when needed.

What if we… put up a combo of the Rune of Siphon, A Rune of Mental Stability, and a tweaked up Snorri's Rune for good measure- Possible Combo: The Wyrm's Mind Shadow

Rune of Mental Stability- Popularly partnered with the Runes of Calm, these runes were used to check the more impulsive tendencies of beardlings from doing something foolish in the presence of the longbeards; it has since found use among dawi whose jobs require an exacting amount of focus for prolonged stretches of time. Prevents the straying of thoughts and increases detection of unwelcome mental muckery.

The Wyrm's Mind Shadow - Named after the rune's intended recipient; this combo takes magical energy, directs it as an Area of Effect around Grimgal both to stabilise her thoughts and heightens the mental fortitudes allies around. The excess energy is then reflected back at the enemy as an inversion of the rune's primary effect: instead of bolstering mental fortitude, the runes imposes disorder and confusion among enemy ranks.

A universal translator for one, rather than just Khazalid. Not entirely sure how such a thing could be done, but it's definitely possible. Master Yorri's Rune of Sound gives you a few ideas at the very least. Now that Yorri's given you a Rune that restores hearing, you wonder if examining it will provide further insights or hopefully ideas about where to go next.

Not really, I think. The point of learning Aonoquean is so that Snorri learns the vocabulary to understand concepts that Khazalid doesn't encompass, not to mention the fact that Aonoquean is itself magically resonant so might be relevant for some projects involving the Winds.

Possibly, but I suspect a magical language like Anoequian might be outside what the normal runes of translation are capable of.
And if Aneoequian is required to express specific magical concepts then its possible that there isn't a valid translation in anything except Dark Tongue or the Old Ones language.
It might also be being used as an indirect proxy for a certain level of understanding of the winds behaviour rather than actually being a linguistic block.
 
I just realized that the winning plan not only is finishing The Rune Metal Pt. 6 on actions alone, but it's also spending Favor on it. Are we aiming to get overflow from it onto Pt. 7 or other projects in particular?

Yeah, overflow into pt 7 in case we can't spend favor on it and just for more progress in general.

I'm now picturing drakks-wearing-hats in the same vein as snakes-wearing-hats. Thank you for that.
