The room went silent for a long minute. Some of the teens were trying to bring up some strangely distant memories while some of the others looked confused.

Oof. This universe does not seem old or stable if I'm interpreting that right. I wonder how far history goes back before everything becomes becomes a generic blur.

A decade? Three? Seems like definitely within living memory. Ordinary DC cosmic horror things.

Remember, arcane things have a veil of secrecy that precludes the attention of mundanes, so anyone without magic has a hard time processing and remembering magical things until and unless they are purposefully exposed to it in a way they can't ignore, such as being given a primer lesson on magic, followed by enough spells that it breaks down that block.

That makes more sense. The less you know the safer you are. Sometimes.

I forgot that tidbit.

Al is probably making a conscious effort to NOT talk about the Narutoverse around Yuffie because that'll likely activate her neurons.

Though maybe he can gift a few technique scroll (as well as means for Yuffie to use Narutoverse chakra or some substitute) as a reward.

While they are right they are also wrong. Since you are a spy. A spy with shadow clones and other resources.

Do not become the best ninja. Becomes ALL the top 4 (5).

Basically, pull a L 'L uses Eraldo Coil, the name of the second-most famous detective. Additionally, L also uses Deneuve, the third-most famous detective'.

This also allow these other 'roles/personas' to boasts about the best ninja. The one they would never face. Because it also you^^.

"...Love?" Kary asked with another sigh as she stepped against him and wrapped her arms around him. She hummed quietly against him as he returned the gesture. "It will be a century, at the very least, before I consider your form to be anything close to acceptable.

she released him and turned to leave with only a few parting words

Here's a question, could Alchemist fix the world of Final Fantasy 15? By that I mean end the stuff that turns people to daemons, and then when the daemon dies it becomes a black mist that goes to block out the sun...

I mean I think if he showed up in Comrades, he could likely create things to create light, and drive off a lot of the Daemons. Which would be a significant help just with that, though I now find myself wondering if he could make more of the crystal that empowers Noctis's family, and maybe find a way to empower it without straining Noctis...

Without a goddamned shadow of a doubt, he can.

Considering that the Starscourge is a magical thing that affects biology, I think that one spell that he taught Captain Marvel could be used to just absolutely gank the hell out of Ardyn's magic. For the daemons, he'd probably find a way to make them take damage from healing spells.

Starfire with a proper sword would be a right demon in the battlefield. Ranged blasts, flight for movement, incredible strength and durability, and a sword that can hold up to all that power and what she'll be hitting it with? Yeah, that would be a big upgrade for any future encounters.

Yuffie MUST NOT learn the art of clones I don't think any universe could withstand a Yuffie that went down the Naruto path.
Err, she already has gone down that rabbit hole. That's what she was referring to when she said her dad got her some scrolls from someplace called "fishcake." That's what "Naruto" means. It's also why she mistakenly refers to ki as "chakra," because the mangaka has no idea what he's talking about.

even in the games she learns how to make clones.

Sapient ones as well.

Yeah. The, uh, the Johnny squad opened up a whole lot of questions. And, like the rest of Rebirth, didn't really offer up any answers.

And I don't expect we'll get any of those answers, either.

Whatever the third part will be named? It's either going to be some incredibly simple plot reveal that neatly ties everything together, or...

Let's face it. Part three is going to be a thirty xanatos pileup.

The Dao of the Orange Ninja:

If you wish to be a great ninja, then know when to be unknown.
If you must be unknown, then be known to be unmistakable.
If you must be unmistakable, then seek to be known by all.
If you must be known by all, then be worthy of knowing.
If you must be worthy of knowing, then be worthy with all that you are.
If you can be known to be only that which you are, then you will never be known when you must be that which you are not.

For all else;
Overwhelming might shall break all walls,
Overwhelming wit shall find all paths,
Overwhelming compassion shall open doors where walls must not be broken and paths must not be tread.

"But that's just wise-sounding nonsense! Subverting expectations has nothing to do with being seen with your hand in a cookie jar."

"Well, most wise-sounding things are. Wisdom's about finding a meaning that applies, advice is just how to tackle something concrete. What that really boils down to is 'If you can't break it, outsmart it, or befriend it, then you have to deceive it.' Stealth is just one kind of deception, and if you're good enough at the other things you don't need to be unknown."

"So what you're saying is I can be as grandiose as I want as long as I can support it, or as long as I can be good enough at stealth if I need to be."

"More or less."

"Why not just say that?"

"Mostly because making up wise-sounding things to say is fun and get you thinking more."

blast him with ultraviolet light...
Starfire and Blackfire's abilities to project force bolts are the result of experiments performed upon them by the Psylons. Normal Tamaranians do not have the ability to shoot force bolts. Normal Tamaranians can fly, are slightly superstrong, and can survive in space as long as they have light to process, and they can live a VERY long time (1000+ years, easily).
Oh, and are very good looking.
But, nope, can't shoot force bolts. That's what makes the two princesses unique. Another Tamaranian would just punch him, and with super-strength and the relative power that comes from it, he's leaving himself wide open so they can do it with a spin move.
Blackfire's curse is that she doesn't have the ability to fly, at least in the comics. She excels in EVERYTHING else to make up for it, thus she can beat up Starfire.

Well, I had a whole post typed up and 99.9% completed then mis-clicked and lost it all.

I guess a draft is only saved if you explicitly request it to be saved.

Bother.

For anything more than a short post, I'd suggest either regularly Ctrl-A + Ctrl-C or just type it up in a word processor.

[Edit] Is there any way to purchase the grid abilities from FFX? A few like Quick Hit could be very valuable.

Finding a way to get one's hands on the summons could be nice, as well.

Could Alchemist use equipment from FFIX to learn abilities, since they teach stuff permanently?

How about magicite from FFVI?

The summons could be fought as IQs, but it would be the Dark Aeons. Absolutely doable for Al's team at this point, though.

P1 could probably directly purchase the skills, and then Al and company could use Mime to learn to copy them. That's his plan with the SMT skills like Charge and Focus, anyway.

FFIX abilities can be treated as equipment properties, I've done that in the past, but Al is incapable of extracting them into permanent skills.

And I'm not touching on Magicite. The crystalized corpse in which the soul of an entity is trapped, slowly having its abilities and skills harvested or else summoning its form as a brief echo... And, considering the Maduin storyline, as well as Mog's dialogue about Ramuh, it can be implied that the espers are still somehow aware in that state.

Thinking about it too long gives me a 'I have no mouth, but I must scream!' kind of vibe.

There's ways to fix that kind of thing, presumably. Like a golem to house the magicite and give them back An Body.

What about Crystal Chronicles? They have their own magicite. They also have a few interesting bits of equipment. For the most part the first game is fairly relaxed and the following games have a more serious storyline. Might be a good place to go for a vacation and to research the Mhyr trees.

That's the problem actually. The local magitech uses magicite as fuel. So, first find a bit that is aware enough to have the relevant summon imprinted, then separate them from a pseudo soul gem, then having them learn to operate an entirely new body when it could of been centuries since their last one that just worked. So, sure you totally could do that, if you wanted to give them a body that is human shaped right now, just use a golem. Then watch them flip between horrified and depressed as body dysmorphia breaks them mentally.

Most of them aren't human shaped in even a slight bit, and Al knows how to make humanoid magic receptacles that can develop a mind, or a holmcross.

I mean, we could just sidestep this a little bit. Death of the Endless usually gets involved if someone is throwing around Resurrection or True Resurrection but if Magicite still has the soul stuck in there, then she might be okay with those spells being used on a case-by-case basis since they aren't **quite** dead.

So y'know if Alchemist ever happened upon one he could probably use it as both the willing soul and the bodily remains so all that's left is a cast of Wish.
