...Also, I genuinely can't remember where I got the idea that the Joker would break out of holding if not supplied with his very specific favored brand of hair gel, but it amuses me. Likewise, that said brand of hair gel is remarkably unpopular and the company that makes it has pulled it from the shelves everywhere except Gotham, and only sells it there because the Joker showed up at a board meeting the last time they pulled it.

Maybe I dreamt it? Either way, it's funny in a horrible way.

That honestly sounds like something the Joker would do because it seemed funny at the time.

Would either go insane again or cosmic bs creates another joker. Much like how there will always be a Batman, there will always be a joker. The best option is to turn the new joker good, but that would probably just create a evil Batman

Sounds like a good practice target for what he's planning to do to Zeus, since a lot of the problems are the same or similar - you kill him, he just walks it off, you zot his soul out of existence someone else gets turned into a new him. So instead, you put him in a jar, and keep him there while you drain off and destroy the cosmic essence of what makes him exist.

Alternately, you invent a cosmic cleanup crew that invalidates everything he does that makes him awful. Joker murders someone on live TV? Turns out the person was replaced with a simulacrum during a time-stop. Joker Smilexes a mall? Replaced with a slightly augmented laughing gas or something inert and Tasha's Hideous Laughter gets cast instead and then dropped when Joker leaves.

It'd be expensive as hell, but good god it would drive the Joker up a wall.

Jim didn't get a courtesy heal?

Alchemist isn't a mind reader. Those sorts of spells do exist, and their prank potential is immense, but that niche is covered by Megan and J'onn.

As an aside- I was trying to track down the clip from Camp Camp, Episode 1-6 'Reigny Day' where camper Nikki responds telepathically to one of the camp counselors but Rooster's Teeth has removed most clips from Youtube. Sorry guys!

Detailed report: ...

"... The hell?"
"What is it?"
"Why the fuck are six terrariums and a supply of crickets in the expense report for this shit?"
"THat's wie-- oh. Gotham."
"That's not an answer!"
"There was that time when we had to source an entire tanker of herbicide, then there's that one guy with the liquid nitrogen requirements, then there's the hair gel incident with that clown freak..."
"...Goddamnit"
"Look, some glass tanks and bugs are weird but this is Gotham. Just be glad we can send them to a pet store and be done with it. In the future just... ignore the expense reports from Gotham unless it's over a couple hundred and even then you get used to it."
God this is so fucking true.

and only sells it there because the Joker showed up at a board meeting the last time they pulled it.
He probably had to show up a second time before he forgot to leave any of the original board not laughing and able to pass on his orders.

I do wonder if Joker steals or buys the hair gel. On the one hand he is a supervillain so why would he pay for anything, on the other hand, it would fit his craziness to respect small mom and pop businesses. I'm trying to think and I only remember him robbing big businesses, kidnapping important people, or the employees of those big businesses.

How long until alchemist remembers to turn them back into a human?

On that note what if everyone who use permanent polymorph on their enemies actually just forget that they turned the person into an animal as they focus on studying the arcane or something.

do you remember the one where he kidnapped bruce wayne to ask where he pre-ordered electric car was?

Well Brucey Boy isn't one of the small people who matter. He is the big shot CEO, it's perfectly fine to mess with him.

Just like Joker won't mess with the IRS, he won't mess with the 63 year old grandma still doing 15 hour 6 days a week for 40 years keeping the family store going.

I think it would be more accurate to say he wouldn't target the grandma in question, rather than wouldn't mess with her. He wouldn't go out of his way to avoid her if he was targeting something/one else, she's acceptable collateral damage. If she gets messed with, that's fine, but she's not important enough to target, and not so dangerous that hitting her at all could go bad.

I was referring more to the fact that the joker of all people actually pre ordered something and that something was a electric car

And that's why you take the Joker down the second he steps foot out of Arkham. Also why you don't put him in Arkham. It doesn't do any good, and, indeed, only makes everything worse.

Random thought:
Does alchemist *have* to get all of his things from magic universe games?
If not there's a bunch of useful things to grab in places like SWTOR or STO. I know he doesn't go in for tech much, but an AI friend/companion might be really helpful, especially given his incoming political… issues.

There are some versions of Paladin which are based on following, exactly the will of the patron deity. There are some versions of Paladin which are contingent on following an oath. A non-omniscient deity being held accountable for what a Paladin empowered by an oath does would be roughly equivalent of holding a car manufacturer accountable for a drunk driver.
There are people that have tried to do just that, along with holding gun manufacturers accountable for the murders gun buyers commit.
And that's why you take the Joker down the second he steps foot out of Arkham. Also why you don't put him in Arkham. It doesn't do any good, and, indeed, only makes everything worse.
That's why a reasonable take would be to have the death penalty for people like The Joker who repeatedly escape and kill again. Yes, they are legally insane and can get off on an insanity defense, but I can't believe that with people that can't be safely contained they haven't made some kind of Three Strikes death penalty for such beings.
I'm not saying routinely put the villains to death, but only the ones that repeatedly escape and kill again.

The thing is, Pathfinder Paladins do have specific, in-universe rules that they follow which would imply that performing specific actions are backed by their deity. Or else that the Paladin should be considered an oath-breaker and need to atone for their actions else they lose their abilities.

So very much so like Warlocks, which are basically just Clerics with daddy issues.

So I've got three specific quotes here that are kind of big so I'll be putting them in spoiler tags-

Through a select, worthy few shines the power of the divine. Called paladins, these noble souls dedicate their swords and lives to the battle against evil. Knights, crusaders, and law-bringers, paladins seek not just to spread divine justice but to embody the teachings of the virtuous deities they serve. In pursuit of their lofty goals, they adhere to ironclad laws of morality and discipline. As reward for their righteousness, these holy champions are blessed with boons to aid them in their quests: powers to banish evil, heal the innocent, and inspire the faithful. Although their convictions might lead them into conflict with the very souls they would save, paladins weather endless challenges of faith and dark temptations, risking their lives to do right and fighting to bring about a brighter future.

Ex-Paladins

A paladin who ceases to be lawful good, who willfully commits an evil act, or who violates the code of conduct loses all paladin spells and class features (including the service of the paladin's mount, but not weapon, armor, and shield proficiencies). She may not progress any further in levels as a paladin. She regains her abilities and advancement potential if she atones for her violations (see the atonement spell description in Spell Lists), as appropriate.

And finally-

Iomedae's priests are composed of clerics and paladins. Personal cleanliness as well as an honorable demeanor are both very important for her followers. An hour of prayer a day is practiced, in addition to a weekly public worship service. [2]

The paladins of Iomedae are just and strong, crusaders who live for the joy of righteous battle. Their mission is to right wrongs and eliminate evil at its root. They serve as examples to others, and their code demands they protect the weak and innocent by eliminating sources of oppression, rather than merely the symptoms. They may back down or withdraw from a fight if they are over-matched, but if their lives will buy time for others to escape, they must give them. Their tenets include the following affirmations.

- I will learn the weight of my sword. Without my heart to guide it, it is worthless
- My strength is not in my sword, but in my heart. If I lose my sword, I have lost a tool. If I betray my heart, I have died.
- I will have faith in the Inheritor. I will channel her strength through my body. I will shine in her legion, and i will not tarnish her glory through base actions.
- I am the first into battle, and the last to leave it.
- I will not be taken prisoner by my free will.
- I will not surrender those under my command.
- I will never abandon a companion, though I will honor sacrifice freely given.
- I will guard the honor of my fellows, both thought and deed, and I will have faith in them.
- When in doubt, I may force my enemies to surrender, but I am responsible for their lives.
- I will never refuse a challenge from an equal.
- I will give honor to worthy enemies, and contempt to the rest.
- I will suffer death before dishonor.
- I will be temperate in my actions and moderate in my behavior.
- I will strive to emulate Iomedae's perfection.

I did learn that zeus is scared of, Themis (/ˈθiːmɪs/; Ancient Greek: Θέμις, romanized: Themis, lit. 'justice, law, custom') is the goddess and personification of justice, divine order, law, and custom. She is one of the twelve Titan children of Gaia and Uranus, and the second wife of Zeus. Zeus may have done something to lock her down somehow. Hope this helps, he's also scared of Nix but she went poof when space travel came about, Nemesis may also be willing to throw down since shes probably tired of all the things hes got away with.

I want to see more reactions from the Justice League and the Titans about what Alchemist gets up to, and the knowledge that he shares with them.
