The 1 for Kayleigh and Cassiel is just too perfect a source of comedy to get rid of.

Please label which roll is for who.
I'll take it. It's better than Old Idea's rolls.
Kind of proves the rule that the dice hates our guts.Would, uh, anyone like to reroll... like 3 of those?

I'm, uh, starting to think none of us should use the dice roller here. Except aceraptor; you can do all our rolls for us.

Let's see how bad my luck would've been...
Ooh, that's a clever idea. Maybe for the different distributions, some "rolls" require multiple cards?Yeah, after looking at the rolls this thread has gotten, I've resolved not to use dice for any quests I ever run. Instead, I'm going to use a deck of cards, without replacement. So if the RNG gods screw the players over a lot, they'll just be saving up luck for later. Plus I can more carefully plan what sort of distribution of results I want.
I'm still thinking how to make that idea work smoothly with different distributions that I want to use the same luck pool, though.
Ehhh. Sounds like that's starting to overlap with Gadgeteer in some respects. So I got to thinking about Kayleigh's device a while ago and I have to ask:
@Silently Watches can a device be used as a fabricator? and if so can it do so while folded up?
The general idea I'm running with here is to give her a device that lets her to the FPS survival set of tropes. Give her device fabrication capabilities, a large storage area, and a method of energy generation not directly drawn from the user. That way all she really needs to get to work with it is for it to have a particular design in it's database and the resources to fab something up. Effectively the only thing that it would draw on her linker core for would be to run the basics like the ability to fold out into the devices it would need and could later build itself up with the right designs.
This would give her the ability to fab and store specialized ammo, a variety of weapons and tools in storage that she can change for various loadouts and even do the Tanya thing and enchant bullets with extra effects even if the gun she is using isn't nominally designed for magic.
It does in a lot of them, and honestly I would think it would be a great idea for nominal Gadgeteers but in this sense it's to feed into a whole "survivalist" theme for her. Given the right blueprints and resources she can produce her own ammo and weapons without needing to take up Tim or another Gadgeteer type's time beyond the initial design phase.Ehhh. Sounds like that's starting to overlap with Gadgeteer in some respects.

Naw, probably should roll for "What Happens" rather than "Does Anything Happen"At this point I legit wonder if we should change the dice-rolling system a bit and do a "best out of four" roll for everything that needs a touch of randomness. Because this is getting silly.
Speaking of silly
Gonna have to say no.@Silently Watches can a device be used as a fabricator? and if so can it do so while folded up?
She'll be able to create her own ammo and store them in her Device already. Potentially the same for producing other tools. She just needs to use specific tools to do so. No reason she can't store the tools in her Device and pull them out when she needs them. This would give her the ability to fab and store specialized ammo, a variety of weapons and tools in storage that she can change for various loadouts and even do the Tanya thing and enchant bullets with extra effects even if the gun she is using isn't nominally designed for magic.

Merry Christmas. Hey Silently, has Alexandria actually thought about the implication of magic for PRT and society at large? Does she realize that there's potentially dozens of Triumvirate level mages out there in the PRT (if the PRT has 100,000 personnel in total then theoretically there should be 100 AAA rated mages among them, with 4,900 other mages of varying strength)?
