Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

-[X] If they withstand the lethal shooters, use a non-lethal Solar Wrath; escalate to lethal if non-lethal Solar Wrath is insufficient

Wide Area Search would give us a much better idea of what's going on in there, and a conditional Solar Wrath might be nice if we bite off more than we can shoot down but don't want to walk into a nascent tinker lab/fortress as would be needed if we go in with the scythe.

We don't know for certain who's inside, so non lethal to try and avoid civilian casualties. OTOH it's a Tinker's Workshop and a Tinker who evidence points to being able to manipulate powers like a knockoff Bonesaw so... Nuke it From Orbit, it's the only way to be sure.

The big name Master of this entire war party is Purson, who's part of the suites group.

Good to know. With how much variety can fall under the "Master" threat response, it's really hard to guess what tactics would be best for them. With how we 'disrupted' the suites group, they're not going to have had time to come to the Tinker to arm their new minions.

Having seen that Master with a bunch of seemingly unharmed civilians lowered their threat level in my estimation. If it turns out he has permanent effects like Heartbreaker, I will feel very bad about my choices in how they affect these people. Fictional people are still people, after all.

Folks I'd like to advocate for non-lethal here because we don't know if there are hostages here. Taylor's already suffering enough mental trauma without putting the deaths of innocent people on her conscience.

We can always execute the Fallen after we've ascertained the situation but we should start with non-lethal.

Afaik we didn't get *everyone* in the spa area out. And no doubt there were other people captured by the Fallen later and the Spa is the logical area to bring them given its spacious nature and being close to the escape route.

From literally five minutes ago:

That is not the kind of cape, the kind of person, you want to be.

You raise your head to find Hemorrhagia and the gunmen still attacking you, though they seem to be picking up on the fact that what they are doing has no hope of working. "Just stop," you tell them, your voice sounding so tired even to your own ears. "Drop the guns and surrender."

....

You take a step forwards, ignoring the sight of the gunmen reloading their rifles. "Give up. Please," you all but beg. Hemorrhagia gives them cover by pulling more blood from several scratches in her arms and flings another volley of needles at you. "Don't make me do this. If you have any decency whatsoever, give me a reason not to kill you."

If we're dropping the building, might as well go for lethal.

Re: But what about civilians?

Civilians pinned in rubble (something will explode, its a tinker lab) after a non-lethal attack are going to be trapped… for a while.

No one is doing S&R right now, and emergency services will need to wait for the area to be cleared before going in.

My conservative guess—(time for Taylor to neautralize everyome, take down the dome, clear area for rescue, actual rescue)–would be 45-60 minutes minimum.

Bleeding out? Slow death for you. Trapped without air? Same. I think the most awful scenario would be getting trapped under hot rubble and slowly dying from severe burns.

To clarify: CW isn't the only source of burns—it's a spa, there's going to be concentrated chlorine/bromine around, unless the tinker used it, but that goes back to "tinker stuff probably goes boom".

We can dig people from the rubble later.

For those talking about Non-lethal, especially non-lethal to try and /destroy the whole building/ ..... do remember past useages of Solar Wrath.

Maybe the building isn't stuffed full of flammables like oily clothes and broken pallets and whatnot.... but non-lethal Wrath is still pretty firey, on top of whatever rubble from melting the building AND the unknown of the tinker.

If you're worried about hostages in the tinker lab, go for the Reaper option again. Using wrath from the outside to dungeon-bypass is not likely good for the health of those inside.
