Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[X] Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Part 3 – Lanster wants to talk to you some more about parahumans and the Endbringers. Take her to the Protectorate Museum in New York and exchange information there.
[X] Tickets to Gangland, Part 4 – The local villains arranging a discussion about what to do about the foreign interlopers? Somewhat expected. Inviting the heroes to participate? Less so. Go to the meeting and find out what's going on.
-[X] Samantha
[X] Social– Adepts
[X] Social – Perfect Storm.

No. The only alternative to using an S-rank mage (and I will limit you to Taylor) is to build a mana-based infrastructure.
Out of curiosity, how much mana-based infrastructure? Would a single power plant be enough for example, or would we need to set up an entire supply chain of various mana-based materials and fuels to get to that point?

A single power plant would be enough, but the rules also change slightly when you hook IAE up to that power plant.

First, the intended mage goes into the machine.
Second, they need a Device to be inserted into IAE when they go in or after to get the full benefit of the template.
Third, IAE will demand a new Intelligent Device so it can transfer the PS personality into it.

This... MAY have unintended consequences.

So, we might end up with IAE proper if we end up going that way. That... Might indeed prove to be disastrous. Even if it doesn't decide to do what it used to do, our relationship with TSAB might take a hit.

What is your reason for not wanting the Adepts to win a social slot?
Mostly because that means that Lacey is losing, and I find her infinitely more interesting than the adepts. Plus, I don't atually think that an army of mages would be all that useful in our ultimate goal of defeating the Endbringers. Which is, indeed, is the winning condition of this quest.

Hm, well I've changed my vote from Adepts and PS to Adepts and Lacey.

...despite my comments and anguish I didn't actually expect anybody to go ahead and change it, but thank you nontheless. Honestly didn't expect that.
It was also the fact that I don't have much attachment to doing a Social with PS. It's on the list of things to do but constantly gets pushed back, and pushing it a little further back probably won't hurt (tempting Murphy here).

[X] Social - Hang out with Lacey, see if she's willing to take a Healer-type Template Device yet.

[X] Social - Check out the Adepts, see if one of them is willing to take a Device if Lacey isn't.

I hope this works?

For the meet, If Samantha wants to listen in, or if there's something she needs to hear, we can communicate with her telepathically. There's nobody else suitable a part of our group just yet - Vista is still a Ward, and Lacey doesn't have a Device, nor have we started training the Adepts.

You'd be surprised. 30 Starlight Breakers/Ragnaröks/other big attacks will kill an Endbringer. As will one shot from a Rainbow Gun. :)

I believe I've said before that this game can be won with or without an army. It's all up to how you want to play it.

Time to call this. I need time to write the chapter, after all.

Speaking of unfortunate lack of discussion (it can be so quiet in here, and I was focused on my sisyphean struggle for FriendShips, I didn't think to engage on votes I didn't like) ...... yeah I would've much preferred that we hook the Adepts up with the TSAB for possible emmigration (because why not? Is that a thing they let mages do? Rare skill Epoch at least has a shot)...

But also, were people intending to include prickly and questionable Liliput along with Epoch/Maclibuin/Standstill? They are one of the adept potentiates after all...
