Well. That seems to be rather straightforward and simplifying. Vista giving her arm checks out, the scan checks out, conferring checks out, and the wallflower interaction checks out as well. The Dragon-social is something that must have been a bitch to get right, since it had to have meant individual vote-counting.

The only two things that seem off is you got eighteen for 'sit with Vista' when according the tally maker, only twelve mention 'sit with Vista and confer on hanging out' as a sub-sub vote, two mention it as a subvote, and one just mentioning 'sit with Vista'. And saying that asking Vista about others currently sits at half the votes is... well, are there really forty six separate voters? Sounds a bit strange.

Maybe including a spoiler breakdown of what constituted what category, rather than a massive, mashed-together dump at the end, would have cleared that up.

I don't trust Kayleigh as far as Gustav or Dora can launch her since the first thing she did when she found out our hero identity is tell her villain friend what it was when she didn't need to know except in her own head.

saying that asking Vista about others currently sits at half the votes is... well, are there really forty six separate voters?

Half is referring to 14/24 (half of the Gangland votes specify to sit with Vista in some way, I think i'd said a percentage) , there were 35 total votes at the time of counting since Shaseyu is still the only one to not want Close Encounters.

Edit: What are you referring to exactly, to get 46? I said asking Vista's opinion was 58% (14/24) and sitting with her at all was 75% (18/24) of the "Tickets to Gangland" vote, or 52% (18/34, I'd forgotten Shaseyu made it 35, so its at 51.4 instead of 52.9) of the total votes.

The only two things that seem off is you got eighteen for 'sit with Vista' when according the tally maker, only twelve mention 'sit with Vista and confer on hanging out' as a sub-sub vote, two mention it as a subvote, and one just mentioning 'sit with Vista'.

"Sit next to Vista and confer on hanging out" should be the source of pretty much all 14 of the "confer about hangout", I don't think there was any real variance to that one since it tracked with the "don't be a wallflower" I listed as "interact with others present", basically copying off my vote in part (a lot of people cut out other areas of mine).

LancerIsDead, Archeo Lumiere, Hye, and LandCollector are the other four. I think the tally maker might be getting messed up by Land's as there was some odd line formatting with it. But not sure how you saw only one of those four? (The twelve match my count, Shaseyu and Faraway-R are the one's that are a subvote instead of sub-sub as they used different dashes as you noticed)

Ummm, on the quests, I think we should prioritize dealing with the Privateers now, in case they try to do something stupid like stealing the power armor suits.

Second? I'm honestly more interested on talking back to the TSAB, but the PRT conference seems more urgent.

And on social? Talking with Storm is a must, I think, and I think we should spend the second slot either in sorting out the Adepts (and maybe recruiting more mages in the process) and speaking with Vista.
Sadly, this is exactly how I thought. I am more interested in exploring the TSAB path, but I feel that the PRT conference is more urgent. Time management.
Also the Privateers situation is more urgent, so again time management. What we need to do vs what I want.
Also that we need to talk with the Adepts and Storm.
I _want_ to speak with Vista, but time management doesn't permit it.

Honestly, my bone with Kayleigh is just that everything that she does is "well intentioned" and thus forgiven automatically, for Calamity Witch this seems out of character and I at least pictured her trying to avoid them like the plague after that.
Except, if you look back at 9.1, that isn't what Taylor thinks happened. What Cailleach/Laura told her was that while Laura was regaling Kayleigh with the details of the fight, Taylor's name slipped out. Taylor thinks it was an honest mistake that the villain in question immediately took steps to equalize, not that it was Kayleigh trying to ship her two friends.

All the suggestions some people have put forward about Taylor dumping Kayleigh immediately because she revealed her identity? I vetoed each and every one of them because they rely on information that Taylor not only has but has no way of obtaining.
@Silently Watches Let's put that point in Multishot. It could use a level.
Done and done.

Perhaps another tack for the players to consider on Kayleigh?

She told one, single, person, Cailleach. A person who /immediately/ berated her over it, guilted and reprimanded, and who promptly took action to 1. protect her friend 2. remedy the situation as best possible by leveling the playing field. Put herself at the exact same risk, only worse in a sense as she's someone who could be easily hounded and arrested for crimes she's likely been an accessory to or worse. All but turned herself in, and by connection (i THINK we know Jotunns her father? theres room to blindly baselessly guess anyway IC) risked her father as well, all to make amends.

And Kayleigh is someone who's known Cailleach for years, close as anything, at least believes she has some judge of Cailleachs character and interests. So even not aware she was doing wrong, not exactly expecting teh backlash of an issue she didnt understand, still did instinctively know her friend. The one person she told, is one loyal enough and fair-minded enough to act as Cailleach did.

Likewise, Cailleach is someone we've seen on screen to be competent. She was clever and strong in the fights we saw, she again showed that commitment to risking herself for those close to her (her reaction to the firey cape getting taken captive by Beasts), she was good enough to risk herself (I didn't see a hint of the same political drive as Jotunn anyway) in coming along when we teleported. And of course the way she took a bullet for Kayleigh in revealing her identity to soothe Calamity Witch.

And with that evidence to judgement and goodness, she's been friends with Kayleigh for years. Hasn't tossed aside a "ditzy traitor" all this time. If we don't know that we can trust Kayleigh here, can we trust the Cailleach that trusts in her?

What does all that, and the fact that Kayleigh has never yet (to our knowledge, and the evidence of lacking reprisals etc) leaked Cailleachs identity, tell us about future possibilities? What does that tell us about Kayleigh's decision making that she didn't go gossip to a random to brag, she tried to help two friends and took a very small (to her mind) risk with a trusted person, etc?

Does it at least lessen the crime? Suggest there was some judgement involved?

A person from which we have seen flipped out for minor things.

Nope, it doesn't lessen the crime. She deliberately used tricky wording.

You won't change my mind and I won't change yours, I am no Naruto to go around doing the forgiving thing.

So let's move on!

Seriously, fuck all of you. Voting is NOT THIS HARD! I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering ignoring all improperly formatted votes in the future.

Tallying a vote should not take me 40 minutes.

All right, people. The week's activities are:

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (guest star Dragon) = 34/39
Social: Vista = 35
Social: Dragon = 34
Tickets to Gangland (and surprised Vista) = 20/26

Scanning Vista for a Linker Core lost by only 3 votes.

THE RULES
IMPORTANT! READ THIS!

After the mess that was sorting through these votes, I have realized that there needs to be a set of rules on how to vote. I am NOT spending a full 45 minutes figuring out what activities won again when it should take less than a minute.

As such, here are THE RULES.

WEEKLY ACTIVITY VOTES

RULE #1: Each main activity must be its own PARENT VOTE. That means no hyphen before the bracket. NO PLAN VOTING for activities!

RULE #2: Each main activity vote must be COPY AND PASTE from the relevant post opening the voting. No rewriting an activity vote to include additional details. No paragraphs as main votes. If it's more than a sentence or two, it's too long.

RULE #3: Additional details that are not mentioned in the main vote should instead be subvotes attached to the main vote.

RULE #4: If your vote violates any of these rules, it WILL NOT BE COUNTED. Yes, your right to vote is now dependent on your ability to follow simple directions.

TIM'S BUILD VOTES

Tim's build votes ARE in plan format. He has 4 build slots per week on his own. Some of his projects take more than one slot, and this should be accounted for in his vote. You also have the choice to vote on what skill(s) he learns with his accumulated Tech Points that should be included in this vote, and yes, you can use Tech Points learned with the projects of that vote to pay for the skill at the end.

[] Plan Example
-[] Project 1 (1 slot)
-[] Project 2 (2 slots)
-[] Project 3 (1 slot)
-[] BUY skill

To keep track of big suggestions for things he can build, either from you the players or other characters, I will provide a list of pre-generated options with a count of how many build slots they require and how many tech points they give.

When you add Guardian Beasts of the Gear or other characters with the Magic Hands skill, things get a little more complicated. For the sake of ease, I assume that most of the time you will want Firefly and Nostromo to help Tim out, meaning on a weekly basis he effectively has 6 slots, not 4. If there are things you want to build that one of them can build on their own, I will let you know and include them in the generated list as costing 0.5 slots and giving 0 tech points (because if Tim isn't building something, why should he get the points?).

Darn it, I missed the vote.
I supposed it is too late to add my vote for scanning Vista for a linker core?
For some reason, I didn't get any alerts from SV until today (err yesterday), and I've been catching up as I got bombarded with a whole bunch.
I had no problem getting alerts from SB or just about any place else.

P.S. I don't know how I'd add something along the lines of "If we interact with Vista, offer to scan her for a linker core" with the current voting. It's clearly a subvote.

At least this time we have a definitive way to have our cake and eat it too.:V
We always had it, AL. The only thing changed was Silently outright telling us the spell she'd choose wouldn't even interfere with her shard ability.

And this time, as you did every time before, you stubbornly clung to "don't scan" side of the argument, mulishly equating it to "definitely give her device to remove her powers" in the process. Those are entirely separate decisions, you know. :V

That's more a clash of priorities. You were more willing to compromise Vista's ability to use her shard for what you considered more utility and flexibility in magic. I wasn't willing to compromise Vista's shard ability.

But that? That's just a damnlie. When the facts changed, my opinion changed. I didn't keep insisting on not scanning when my priorities were met.

Frankly, I expected better from you.

Guardian Beast, one casting, no further math required. Other AL, you're missing facts.

... before you leap to the defense of someone, I strongly advise that one takes a close examination of all the facts at hand before crafting a response.
You never know when a 'seemingly minor' overlooked detail can make you look like an idiot.

Not saying far isn't wrong here either, but at least on the first instance, he's right in that we always had the ability to teach her how to make a Guardian Beast. It's just that now it's been spelt out to us in pain language.
