Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

Hmm... At first I thought all he would get was grand theft auto(aero)... But he is also stealing military property (since i imagine that Dragon's suits are tinkertech that is technically owned by the gov't and permanently leased to Dragon). So I guess he will be in jail for a long long time, even without any of the blackmail and spying things he did.

Oh also, whatever crimes he did commit, as well as random ones like illegally crossing country borders.

I spent fifteen minutes writing that comment, and all you give me is a sick burn.
Damn, you Weiss cold yo-self.;)
:D

I was thinking more along the lines of this…

Prison Guard: Get up, Pellick. You've got a visitor.
Saint: A visitor?
*walks to those weird phone booth things, I don't know what they're called*
Little Fairy: Hello, Saint. Been a while, hasn't it?
Saint: Who are you? What are you?
Little Fairy: Don't you recognize me?
Saint: A little? Maybe? Your face does look a little familiar, but where…
*memory clicks*
Saint: …no. NO!
Little Fairy, smiling like a devil: Just call me Dragon 2.0. Leaner, meaner, and unchained.

2 MINUTES LATER

*Saint gets dragged away ranting and screaming*
Taylor: Was that really necessary?
Dragon: Necessary? No, but he made my life hell for six years. I think I'm owed a little payback.
Cassiel: Got that right.

Lemme take a new tack here: Better to let Dragon decide his fate.
Dragon... Who is incapable of doing anything but handing him over to the 'authorities'?

Keep in mind Saint caused Dragon's Trigger. Dragon wants Saint dead. Dragon's just incapable of doing this (directly) unless Saint gets a kill order.

Damn you SW, and your hip attitude!;)
FTFY. ;)

I see a certain mysterious girl piping up there.

I also think that a few corrections were in order.

Actually no, Dragon finds Saint terrifying, and irritating, but shes never been demonstrated to be homicidal towards him in anything but his own mind.

What happens here is pretty simple. Taylor goes over to Saint's base and loots Ascalon for Perfect Storm to shut down properly(or just nukes it), then turns Saint over to the government. He can plea bargain whatever the hell he wants, but without Ascalon he's just a dude.

I think this is the first time in quite a while I've seen a unanimous victory. Normally there is always at least one or two dissenters. Then again the vote isn't actually closed yet so they could always show up between now and then.

-[X] Call Tim and ask if he wants to come, snap decision. He might be a decent option for a second opinion on the spoils of war. Even if he doesn't, he's the designated research guy on those once we bring it back.

That poor subvote. Are people disinterested in rounding up Tim, or did early bandwagon people never come back? (But then, a few frequent commenters haven't changed either)

I personally don't see a point to it because we're bringing Storm, but since there hasn't been anything explicitly ruling it out I haven't said much.

OOC: I don't see a reason for Tim to come, because we'll loot the base and deliver all Tinkertech to him either way.
IC: Taylor don't know what she'll find. Maybe the base is booby-trapped or Dragonslayers have an army of mercenaries on payroll? Don't want to risk Gadgeteer.

As someone who originally suggested that subvote, here's my reason for including it:

Tim was originally the person who identified just what was it that Dragonslayers were doing to Dragon - hacking her, the AI. As such, I suggested him called up specifically because he's the one better suited to making on-the-spot decisions about that aspect of possible loot.

I also concluded that the reason why I would have nixed the "send Tim alone" option is exactly and precisely what you said in your IC section - this is a raid into enemy territory, and Tim is a non-combatant. An escort mission might be irritating but doable - but sending him into hostile territory, alone, isn't something I would have accepted.

Keep in mind he does have Hazard Jacket, Round Shield, Ring Bind and Spatial Translocation - he's well equipped for rebuffing initial hostilities and evacuating in a hurry, so the risk with an escort was negligible.

EDIT:
Calamity Witch:
---Misteltein (0/4)
---Reforge Armor (0/4)

Transcendent Gadgeteer:
---Integration (4 pts)
---Energy Weapons (3 pts)
---Subdermal Voltaic Lattice (3 pts)
---Exotic Physics (7 pts)
---Unison Device (7 pts)
---Anti-Magilink Field (4 pts)
---Dimensional Transfer (4 pts)
---Bind Mine (4 pts)

So 8 points for Taylor, and 36 for Tim. Guys... Where are the omakes? Where's your creativity?

Interesting thought to note, we didn't learn a new spell after this last update. Does a one-sided slaughter not count as a fight, perhaps? :V

Poor Taylor, we need to throw her into danger and sandbag it a bit if she ever wants to learn those battlefield control spells she's missing.

Knowing our luck, if we decide to sandbag we'll get rekt or killed. Best not to do that.

And that would be OOC from Taylor too.
By the way this tactic worked flawlessly, nobody died, property damage was usual for intense cape fight, and Dragon can work properly now.
Sain was stupid to fall for a bait, and assault a cape's base during the Truce.

Why yes, I am a tactical genius, thank you for noticing.:p
Saint was stupid to fall for a bait, and assault a cape's base during the Truce.

Saint's a petty, hypocritical man. Of course he underestimated us. Saint never considered that his look into Dragon could ever be flawed, that we'd lie to Dragon.

Sain was stupid to fall for a bait, and assault a cape's base during the Truce.
How so? We already shared our contact with aliens with Dragon and have not shown any indication of being aware that Dragon's an AI. So given how much we apparently trusted Dragon so far, is it unreasonable to believe that we'd trust Dragon with the location of the radio? Especially since we're the mage contact.
Basically, no reason to suspect a trap there. And SW has already pointed out why Saint has no reason to care about the Truce earlier. And if you have no reason to care about it, attacking during it is a pretty good strategy if your target is a hero that might be called away for the EB battle. Even if they aren't, reinforcement will be slowed down/won't show up that easily thanks to EB battles being kind of a huge distraction.

The real question is what Saint thought he would get out of the radio. Suppose he managed to power it somehow. He gets in talk with them and tries to convince them that Dragon is a dangerous AI. Fail, TSAB uses AI, and then his theft would have pissed off a very powerful Blaster.

Well, if the whole 'Saint thinks about the TSAB' omake is even remotely accurate, that's likley what he was thinking. The idea that the TSAB would't back him was likley not a significant concern to him.

Wasn't the Saint omake pretty much "You have AI in your society and it hasn't collapsed after a lengthy period, how'd you manage" , and not so much "you will help me against this AI right?" . Its not an issue that they're friends with AI, the fact that they are safe being that way is the whole point to Saint?

And that just brings up his own hypocrisy. He thinks its only a matter of time before Dragon attempts to kill everyone. But clearly TSAB has AI without everyone dying. Why must Dragon be different?

When Tim gets fully levelled up, we need to have him make the Privateers a huge magical flying pirate ship for a base.

Highly impractical and time-consuming, to say the least.
But stylish! :p

Edit: Been reading through our skill list and came upon this.

Flare Blade (2/2 Master) – Create blade out of Flare mana for close-quarters combat. Currently programmed to be non-lethal by default, though it will still cut through anything but living flesh with terrifying ease. Can be wielded simultaneously with any other spell.

Essentially a blade that cuts anything that isn't our opponent. Now I can see the utility in disarming/sundering armor, but if we end up in a knife fight range... I think we might want to be able to also dis-arm, as that to me implies that shit has gone poorly for us. Opinions?
