Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

I'm not sure exactly where magical girls from nanoha fall on the power scale because I've never watched the show, but I'm guessing she could go S9 on all their assess and there wouldn't be much people could do about it. Maybe? Tell me if I'm wrong.
Not IMMEDIATELY...but one of the spells on our learn list is Anti-City.

[X] Research homeschooling and G.E.D.s – You're done with Winslow, but you still need proof that you're getting an education. The last thing you want is for your heroing to be curtailed because you're too busy dodging truant officers to look for crime.

In addition to what the guys above have said, let me repeat something I told someone else (Bludflag, maybe?). Beams of nuclear fire. Make of that what you will.

hear is a vote from sb

[q] Check in with your new team– Dad did say the Privateers were going to start their raids as soon as possible, and right now, you'd love to have something to shoot. Especially after you tell him you're dropping out of Winslow.
-[q] Still, despite wanting to shoot something, perhaps it would be better to go from there to get the paperwork for official Independent Hero Team status first. You just need to get your Dad's approval for it, since he's the team leader.
-[q] Meanwhile, ask Perfect Storm to start compiling the paperwork for homeschooling and GEDs. You can start working on it this evening.

@Silently Watches - I notice that our device is capable of browsing the internent and likely hacking. Can it handle finances and paperwork? Because it occurs to me that we could at least streamline "get paperwork in order" thing if it (he? She? They?) can.

Yes, s/he/it… PS can. That said, it wouldn't look good if your first interaction with the PRT was handing over paperwork you clearly got by hacking their system.

There are no forms available online? I mean, it would make sense to me. There's probably going to be a need to go there still, but if the forms can be filled online (or by downloading them and printing them out), the time needed to be spent in person could probably be decreased significantly.

The Nanoha archetype of the 'bombardment mage' is absolutely literal; ranged specialists, especially flying ones, have basically made any kind of fighting vehicle under destroyer level irrelevant. One with a good power level (fueltank basically) can hit like the bastard lovechild of a strike fighter and a Katyusha launcher.

The highest level ones, armed with the really good (read: banned) spells hit like early Dragonball Z, they can accidentally change maps.

[X] Get the paperwork for official independent hero team status – It's a good thing you didn't talk to the PRT the night you found Perfect Storm, isn't it? Your dad may not like you speaking up for the team, but it needs to be done. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.

No, there aren't, and for a simple reason. The PRT doesn't want independent heroes running around. Independents have zero oversight, generally little to no training in how to use their powers appropriately (from both bystander safety and collateral damage perspectives), and don't have the in-depth knowledge of the quasi-political background needed to avoid accidentally setting off a gang war. It's one thing if you're a rogue and want to use your power peacefully, but if you want to punch villains in the face, it's something else entirely. By having to come in and physically pick up the paperwork, the Protectorate gets a chance to chat with you and try to convince you to join them rather than going it alone.

Of course, it's also a chance to chat and assess our mental stability and the potential need to put you down from their PoV, a chance for them to bring out the survival rates of independent heroes and a chance for US, to interact with their capes and establish a cooperative relationship(said capes being available because they'd prefer to put their more sociable capes to lure in outsiders).

From the meta-PoV, it's mostly safe, since they'd be hard pressed to tempt players who, I notice, have pretty nearly unanimously refused to join the PRT :p

We could probably trust Danny a bit with being a leader of his group before (ultimately) usurping that position.

Danny explicitly doesn't trust the Protectorate, and doesn't want to go anywhere near them(with good reason, uncontrollable Master aura means his visiting the Protectorate could easily be misconstrued as an attack, at least in his mind(the PRT has ways to manage it, but again, lack of trust from his end)). That he would make sure the forms are filled, forms which must be collected in person, seems unlikely.

Sad to say, Taylor has better socials than Danny as a result. :V
