Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

I think WAS idea has its merits.

1. Adepts are known villains.
2. Adepts are seeking meeting, not Taylor, and they were extremely rude and threatening with that statue.
3. Adepts chosed time and place for that meeting.

Under these circumstances Taylor had a right to ensure there is no trap.
If they'll see WAS as a threat and attack they probably planned to ambush us from the beginning.
If they have a way to block it, it's extremely important information for us and we better find it out sooner than later.

-[] Deploy Wide Area Search, look out for possible ambush.

[X] Follow – What is Epoch thinking, showing himself in the open like this? There's something weird going on, but it doesn't look like he wants to fight. If he wants a peaceful meeting, you can oblige him unless he crosses the line first.
-[X]Have Perfect Storm alert Legend of what's going on, along with a constant tracker beacon of your position and an audio-video file/transcription of everything you and PS can see, hear, and scan for.
-[X] Have Sam teleport to the area and watch from afar, just in case.
-[X] Deploy Wide Area Search: If there's any suspicious movement, teleport inmediately back to Philadelphia.

But are they seeing WAS, recognizing it as a search technique, and attacking because their ambush is going to be discovered?
Or seeing a bunch of glowing spheres zooming out from the high-rank Blaster all over the area, some towards them, and thinking it an energy attack so they retaliate?

Their capability or incapability to recognise WAS is important information for us too. It demonstrate how much they know about actual magic.

If they attack us because don't recognise spell, they probably don't know anything and so are not interesting for us. We can shoot them freely.

But I expect more restrain from them. They breached unwritten rules, after all, they should be extremely confident.

We cast WAS, and they attack.... They've now attacked first, and we're justified in taking them down HARD (not that we're not already justified with the breach of the unwritten rules, but still...)

So let's tally this bad boy up. I just have two things to say. One: in the future, please don't rewrite subvotes you like. Just freaking copy and paste. Two: when I say that a write-in is not acceptable, listen. Otherwise it gets scratched out and won't count, even if by whatever act of God took place it happened to be the leading vote.

[X] Run – The leader of the Adepts showing himself right after you had a meeting with Legend about them? That's too convenient. He has something up his sleeve, and walking into it blindly is a quick road to slow suffering.

[ ] Lead - if he wants to have a meeting, he can have it, but on your grounds, ie your pocket dimension.
-[ ] Have Perfect Storm make an audiovisual recording of the entire meeting and if she deems you compromised after its conclusion, have her forward it to Legend and Dad immediately even if doing so means going against your future orders.

Eeeewwww. This is going to be… Mmm. Do I have Perfect Storm act as my agent of authorial fiat or let you jump off this cliff?

...I'm starting to think it's not that they like the winning subvote, but that they legit want something different that they see as not being provided.

@landcollector, hold me.

Depends on how inteligent you want PS to be, and how obvious the error is.

Also depends how you want to play it out, if you think the error will make for a better story you should run with it.

I think it might be the contact Legend thing. Telepathy doesn't have a good rep on earth Bet.
Maybe. But given Legend knows we're immune to the Simurgh, we wouldn't be associated with her.
EDIT: Oh god I think I realized the issue:
a constant tracker beacon of your position and an audio-video file/transcription of everything you and PS can see, hear, and scan for.
I NEVER SAID WHERE WE WERE TRANSMITTING IT TO!
We may be sending all this to Legend's brain, rather than his computer or something!

It's been a while since I read and I don't know if I was paying attention to the posts at the time, but didn't people just vote to go on patrol with her and then stuff went wrong?
We, ah, weren't exact enough in our "take flight" vote after encountering Cadejo and Vista ended up remaining on the ground, hence getting her arm ripped off. Not...exactly our finest hour.

When the fight began, less than 50% of people put into their votes to pick Vista up and fly.
As a result, an intangible-except-for-claws-and-teeth pack of dogs tore her arm off, nearly killing her.

The QM cant read our minds. We cant read his mind either.
"Hmm let's see, should I stream this to his computer or straight into the brain of a member of a telepath shy people? Oh I know! Let's project it right into his brain and potentially cause a bit of a panic until he figures out what's happening, and potentially after too."

Yeah, no.

Yeah, no.
You don't know Silently Watches. She makes no assumptions and reads the votes literally.
