Magical Girl Escalation Taylor (Worm/Nanoha)

[X] Bone of the Father, part 2 – Maybe it's just because it's one you grew up hearing about, but the idea of an Empire off-shoot running around Philly fills you with dread. Plus the fact that the real Empire was turned into Ziz-bombs. Check their territory for any known Empire capes calling the shots.
-[X] Bring along the whole team, including Jujak, for training purposes
[X] Daddy's Little Girl – It's been a while since you last checked on your dad. It hurts to see him and know that he doesn't and probably never will recognize you, but you should probably stomach the hurt and go to his nursing home.
-[X] Bring TSAB medics to examine him and see if TSAB tech could heal him
[X] Participate in Final Frontier as a social activity instead of a main activity.
[X] Make yourself available to help Operation Pentagram.

I'm not sure what to put for that last vote, but I'm definitely not leaving it blank if doing so would get Standstill Templated now, meaning six more weeks for that last template to be available. I'm going to keep fighting to build sacrificial devices.

"Family is Family, period, no details needed, never leave them because you owe them your life"
Strike out the "because you own them your life" and substitute because it's the honorable thing to do. He hasn't betrayed her, a bit of neglect is far from the worst thing anyone did to her in cannon and a minimum 50% of that is her OWN fault, according to interlude #1. People happily redeem bonesaw... and even work to excuse Carol, At least in this story Danny was made interesting, useful and believable. He only wasn't a major resource because of player lack of interest.

I think Pentagram and bones of the father can happen at the same time and sending Paul to Tim could be done in a paragraph or two, but if this vote doesn't work, tell me and I'll decide which one I prefer.

How can you cruel beasts make me decide between two of my own social ideas like this?:cry: Japan vacation or Monster Dinosaur Hunter....

The Japan thing would even be a great "cooldown" option after having deleted an entire cult enclave, really... but do we want to drop a time-specific Final Frontier just to do it sooner?

@veekie @Alayne @LancerisDead etc etc, thoughts on saving the Japan trip for the first social of next block, to make it follow the Fallen raid? Or too much concern that something will interrupt if we don't lock it in here?

I suppose if Bone of the Father wins, thats a potential training opportunity in itself, but not sure if that would need a subvote to ensure we took all three of the new mages or if its too unpredictable (See Lacey and Taylor interrupt a mugging) to assume anything.

I really like the Gimel idea but isn't it too early? Laura and Kayleigh haven't actually become mages yet have they?

There are at least two interludes before any of these happen, and one of those is Laura I think. Pretty sure they'll become mages by then, and if not Silently Watches has already mentioned juggling timing of scenes rather than a strict weekly spread (like putting Burn the Sinners at the end for max training).

[X] Burn the Sinners, part 2 – You have the information about the Fallen you wanted, specifically about the Simurgh family. Track them down. Burn them out. Leave no survivors
[X] Participate in Final Frontier as a social activity instead of a main activity.
[X] Explore another world. If you do not select a world where Taylor has been or already knows about, one will be selected randomly. You may bring 1-3 other characters with you.
- [X] Weekend trip to Aleph's Japan with Missy, Kayleigh and Laura. As newly-forged anime characters they need to see their true homeland, and honestly all four of you need a vacation from your vacation.

My personal hangup with the Daddy's Girl vote is that, as far as I'm concerned, Taylor already got her closure. Seeing her father not even physically capable of remembering her, or remembering anything, and all of her life with him gone in an instant... I don't know, but to me that would be closure enough, that he is all but dead. After all, a person isn't a body, it's a mind. And even if his ability to remember new things returned... his memories wouldn't. He would never be the same person she knew literally all her life, as he reverted to before he even met Annette. Danny might be alive, but her father is gone.

I really want to do Daddy's Little Girl, but we already started Bone of the Father, we should see it through to the end. (I thought it was going to be quick enough that we could finish it up and then do Daddy's Little Girl, but I now I'm doubting it)

I'm positive I've already mentioned that there will be a post-magifying interlude where the girls get into a fight, so are these training voters because you want MORE practice or because no one reads the GM's comments?

In my case I might have read it, I might have missed the post, or I might just have forgotten :/

Japan trip is very tempting now as a team building trip.

Both? Both sounds good. Or rather I suspect the comment might've been during or before the loooong span of setup votes for the three and I forgot @_@ Also the fallen are a pretty big enemy even if we manage some time busting gangsters or the like.

Plus now I'm afraid of vote-splitting if I change from dinos to japan  what have I done

Just to remind you all, it'll take 10 of Tim's build slots to make the Devices to sacrifice if we're going with that option for Standstill's template. If we want her on the field soon, we're going to need to sacrifice most of the next two weeks' build slots.

[X] Final Frontier – The Triumvirate Dynamic Duo is interested in what resources Earth Bet would have access to with convenient interdimensional transport. Explore Cauldron's base again, hunting for vials and information about the Fallen.

-[x] Paul had his heart in the right place. Tell Tim to offer him a boost serum. If he does well, maybe a linker vial down the road.

I think Pentagram and bones of the father can happen at the same time and sending Paul to Tim could be done in a paragraph or two, but if this vote doesn't work, tell me and I'll decide which one I prefer.

To give him a serum, we need to vote for Tim to make one, so that would be a build vote rather than an activity vote.

My personal hangup with the Daddy's Girl vote is that, as far as I'm concerned, Taylor already got her closure. Seeing her father not even physically capable of remembering her, or remembering anything, and all of her life with him gone in an instant... Incorrect. His amnesia is locked in shortly before Annette died. I do not recall how young Taylor was for certain, but he was asking for his wife and daughter, and not accepting the strange teenager people were insisting WAS Taylor.

I'm positive I've already mentioned that there will be a post-magifying interlude where the girls get into a fight, so are these training voters because you want MORE practice or because no one reads the GM's comments?

I want more, as one fight seems far too little preparation for going after the Fallen, and if we can bring Jujak along as well, maybe by letting him pilot one of the remaining suits of armor. Then again, you might be aiming that comment at the social vote I just noted, in which case I'm not voting for it, so my opinion on the matter means little.
