Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

If our Rasputin doesn't have like, 8 toughness to start with, I'm going to riot! :V

he needs to be able to take multiple bolter shells to the face without issues!

I'll roll for his survival twice with a 1d10. If he gets 3 or lower he dies.
im not good with probability and dice but online calculators tell me there's 51% chance he doesn't come back?
alternatively misunderstood what exactly the calculator asked me to input but hey "English is not my mother tongue" is a perfect shield to hide behind

Is this automatic or would we get a choice on if we continue?
I would assume since we owe the Deathwatch a major favor as mentioned the first 5 are included in said favor any beyond that would probably have the options pop up again on where to send them.

Though hopefully by that point we'll have at least one psyker who survived training and can train our psykers in-house.

And ah ninja'd by the QM.

Well, hopefully at least the guy survived this turn already, so there's hope that the guy will be able to survive at least till turn 5.

If he lives I just hope the Deathwatch won't want to poach him later down the line, that guy is probably our Chief Librarian...or at least one to train the rest of them.

I hope whatever favor they want as repayment is something we'd probably do anyway, like destroying a Ork WAAGGHHHHH or aid with a Hostile Xeno group. Tho i'd not be opposed for sending some to the Deathwatch later, when our Astartes can actually survive a couple campaigns of theirs, Deathwatch Veteran's would be a nice addition to any Company or Honor Guard.

From what canon deathwatch campaign with regular chapters tell me it's usually "here this dangerous threat that's probably going to kill at least a couple of full strength companies at a minimum or the whole chapter at worst".

Yeah, a major favour isn't worth THAT much. They'll probably just ask the Mist Shrikes to send some marines to take a tour of duty. I wouldn't be surprised if the Deathwatch was stretched thin in this day and age, especially with the tyranids arriving in the galaxy 3 years ago.

The Deathwatch is unlikely to ask for the librarian they trained and know is our sole psyker currently and the Deathwatch generally won't request a chapters Chiefs Librarian for a term of service as well given the duties CL generally have.

Yeah as mentioned this is a major favor which generally means when they call it could be them asking for 20 veteran marines for a century or two of service. Or them requesting we deploy a company to this campaign that's too large for them to handle by themselves. A major favor is not multiple company's or even the whole chapter nor does it mean risking those companies/chapter with destruction. Though losses would still be expected of course.

Now Honorbound favors are the ones where you deploy multiple companies or the whole chapter to face a threat but those are very rare given how valuable they are.

"Requesting" a few dozen veterans to be send to the Deathwatch is a common punishment for Chapters that have brought formal censure upon themselves, but haven´t transgressed egregiously enough to warrant a Penitent Crusade.
So I would expect the favour to be a bit lighter, say 20 Battle Brothers committed for a century.

Or we could be asked to just send the chapter to kill stuff and free up Deathwatch to go to other theaters.

Yeah with the deathwatch is less big commitments of troops and more local threats that they just don't have the manpower to currently deal with, they probably would request some of out veterans to be sent to help them deal with a xeno problem they currently are too short handed to deal with by themelves.

@01paradox01 Could you please add some heavy weapons to Orellana's Savagery in your plan? 2nd Company has 2 Squads of Devastator Marines, I'd like them to get more experience with that duty if possible.
