Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

Planet Luctus. Autumn Solstice, during Night of Fright. Year ???.

Ofiara was having fun, tonight he had been able to scare many more brothers than the previous solstice, all those days of stealth training were paying off. He had just ambushed a group of unsuspecting nowalijki when suddenly.

AAAAAAAAAAAAH

Ofiara is an Astartes, an angel of the Emperor, a being incapable of feeling fear. So he definitely didn't scream, nor did he flinch when Dzhoker burst out from his side, emitting the most insanely infernal sound he had ever heard. No, he just made a quick run in reverse until his backpack collided with the wall.

"HAHAHAHAHA. Oh brother, your damn terrified face was worthy of being printed on a painting for all the servos to see, HAHA".

When Ofiara recovered from his scare surprise he saw Dzhoker doubling over with laughter while holding his stomach, and there, hanging from his neck, he saw what had probably made that sound.

It looked like a skull-shaped whistle.

"Very funny," he said, suppressing his annoyance at being eliminated and asking the question that was on his mind. "What's that on your neck, brother?".

"Oh, this?" Dzhoker asked as he lightly held the whistle in his right hand. "It has a complicated name, ehecachichtli, at least that's what they call it on the Sobek planet." He commented as he moved the object between his fingers. "But the civilians who gave it to me said I could call it a death whistle." He snorted, before setting his eyes back on Ofiara. "Very appropriate, don't you think?".

Appropriate, yes, and easier than the tongue twister his brother had mentioned that Ofiara wouldn't bother trying to pronounce. And then, another question came to his mind.

"Civilians? What civilians?".

"The civilians of Sobek, they gave it to me on our last deployment there," he said, before bringing the whistle to his mouth and making that sound again.

AAAAAAH

"Haha, I love this thing".

"YOU-"

"Calm your paranoia, bro" Dzhoker interrupted him. "The chaplains know I have this item, and the librarians also analyzed it. It's clean".

Ofiara relaxed at that, if the chaplains and librarians agreed that the whistle was harmless, then he would believe them. "Out of curiosity, what did the chaplains say when you asked them for it?".

Dzhoker gave him what many Luctus slum dwellers would call a `shit grin`.

"They praised my festive spirit".

"…"

The inspiration for this came to me out of the blue while I was working, I remembered that we had an Aztec world in the sector and the rest is history.
Thanks to
@Effective Effect for creating the Aztec world.
Here is a sample of what an ehecachichtli sounds like:

Gallowglass-Pattern Modular Dropship
While an oversized gunship is a cool concept, it isn't one I like to balance in this quest. Non-Canon, but you get a guaranteed techmarine in this turn ascension results.
Omake: Curious Trinket.
Damn that whistle is cool. Non-canon, but you gain improved relationship with the Sobek contact.

Also, I have finally rolled Bereket's contribution to the campaign.
