Geography of Luctus
As the clock struck midnight, Imperial administrator Ingar Belegorys sunk back into his chair. The Mist Shrikes' choice for their homeworld has saved the local Administratum quite a few months of hard work, but that didn't mean that no work had to be done and it was Ingar's and the other 56 394 assigned administratum scribes job to make sure that no data was lost or corrupted during the recategorization of Luctus into an astartes homeworld. And after pouring himself another cup of recaf Ingar went back to work.
Location: Luctus System, Subsector Raikan
Satellites: Bila Kulya
Size: No noticable difference from
Terra (
EN; the Administratum thrives on studious detail, they would use the actual number. If the gravity is higher, you can also make the planet a bit bigger and still have it work.)
Axial tilt: 10°
Gravity: 1.2 G
Hydrosphere: 60% of Luctus is covered in one large ocean
Temperature: 11°C on average, -30 at the poles
Terrain: Luctus is compromised of two continents, Timis in the east and Zhurka in the west. Zhurka is mostly mountainous and hilly with the
Chornyy Khrebet mountain range covering the entirety of the continent's inner part
. This region is inhabited by ap
proximately 78% of the population and is where the Mist Shrikes fortress monastery is located.
The continent's only
realy prominent river is the Volgun which at its widest parts can reach 1 kilometer
s (
EN; 1 kilometer what?). Most of the pre-
Catastrophy settlement
s' ruins are located in the lowlands and co
astal regions of Zhurka.
When it comes to Timis there is not a lot of data, communication with the continent ha
ds stopped nearly a century ago and scanning doesn't show any signs of human life. One thing to note is that the numerous lake formations on the continent share the same circular shape, hinting that they may be not a natural
ly rec
cu
rring phenomenon.
