Loyalty is its own Reward (A Traitor Legion Chapter Master Quest)

Currently we have a few stats that are close to 10 i think we should work toward leveling up to 10:
Severus: Fellowship: 8+1 60/900
Valzadai Intelligence: 8 800/900 or Willpower: 8
Karark Zel: Intelligence: 8 790/900 or Perception: 8
Myrok Kuthil: Weapon Skill: 8 300/900 or Agility: 8+2 120/900
Cato Utica: Fellowship: 8 100/900

Unfortunately, Plasma blaster both requires a Great Crusade era techmarine and Gets hot. So getting a lot of them is very difficult and risky. As for Liggtning claws, those are best used in pairs and you can not use a lightining claw and a ranged weapon in the same hand.
I think the bigger factor here is that anybody who has Terminator Armor is probably going to be picking their own equipment due to veterancy privileges. So it'll not be a uniform loadout anyway.

I suspect a set of Termi armor would come with a stormbolter and a powerfist included as that is basic Terminator squad loadout. And then veterans would be able to switch, if we have anything to switch to, because there is only so much stuff we have in the armory.

I'm expecting us to not get Terminators until at least turn 20 tbh. By that point we'd probably have our weapon stocks up.

Hey, who knows we might get lucky and find an STC containing blueprints for terminator armor. After all weren't they suppost to be mining suits during the golden age of humanity?

I'd say Medic because I'd rather lose as few named characters to geneseed failure as possible.

By the way I've asked the QM if our pre heresy marines are subject to the flaw and they said no. Apparently there's a hidden timer where the geneseed flaw won't manifest and they've hit it.
Speaking of this, my omake bonus was to give 100 exp to our chief apothecary, i didnt check if the stats are up to date so there is that.

In a theoretical scenario. Say we come across an abandoned knight titan. Could we modify it to fit a space marine, or a dreadnaught candidate? Image if our chapter had our own personal titans at our beck and call!

Also, has anyone considered taking serfs with us into battle? Like train them up to Solar Auxilia standards? I bet the big four pillars of the chapter remember them. Would be even awesomer if we could recreate their void armor.

I am fairly certain Ordo Astartes would come down on us like a ton of bricks for violating the Codex. Closest we can get to our own Knights is claiming a Leviathan Dreadnaught somehow. As for combat serfs, using them for anything but boarding actions and defence of the Fortress Monastery / homeworld is extremly frowned upon and getting too many of them would not be tolerated. We could, in theory train them to match SA infantry in skill, and give them comparable in quality gear, but their numbers are likely to stay low compared even to our PDF.

We'd probably be better off handing it to the local knight world in return for a favor. They actually have the tech to repair and maintain it.

Having the serfs follow us into battle is a big no no because having space marines leading armies(or perceived to be) is against the rules. It's to stop us from having a huge ass army if we turn traitor. Having a well trained and equipped force of chapter serfs is ok but they're only going to be crews for our ships and a garrison for our Fortress Monastery.

Best we can do is give it over to House Lothbrok or Smilnay since they're the ones who are actually allowed to have them.

Some of you guys are starting to peer into legion building

Sidenote: now that founding the 1st company is within close distance I think we should start making some of the more elite equipment, by that I mean kraken and vengeance round bolters, power weapons, note that plasma blasters and volkite weapons should be given to special killteams in situations where there are no other mayor imperial forces fighting alongside us.

Ah i see. So the best we can do with chapter serfs is aiding in or defending against boarding actions, defending the fortress monasteries, and working the ships. Well, i mean, does that mean we could just ensure a good number of any human stationed on ships know basic marksmanship, and the serfs specialized in void combat get hardcore training?

So, low number of Solar Auxilia tier serfs, but thats fine and dandy so long as we have some protect our fortress monistary and flagship yeah? Hmmm. Oh i got it! Servitors! Would servitors be a good work around on our army limitations? Maybe invest in lots of augments and stims for these theoretical Solar Auxilia grade serfs?

Edit: i am very tired and rambling at this piunt

I am fairly certain, that sort of thing regarding serfs is standard operating procedure for Astartes Chapters. As for servitors, basic ones are kinda mediocre at best and more specialised ones are Ad mech domain which they guard jealously.

Before 1st Company we'll probably want to form 8th Company. After that though, yeah we'll need some goodies for them. We may need to negotiate for BP from nearby Hive or Industrial Worlds to have a good amount though.

Our Chapter Serfs can be as good as we want them to be, there's no restrictions there. And considering how many ships we should have, we could easily have hundreds of thousands or even millions of them in total if we wanted to. It's only in how we use them that the Ordo Astartes gets twitchy. Give 'em all Hellguns and Carapace Armor even, that's fine, but if they're ever used to take territory or dig trenches or scout out enemy operations for their Space Marine masters, there's gonna be problems.

Servitors are fine, basically every Chapter has them do work around the Fortress-Monastery, and Techmarines are expected to bring a few with them into battle as additional protection. Only problem is... they're kinda shit in a fight. They cannot do anything without direct commands, so they're basically only good as meat shields or as spare guns and ammo, and even then it's in fairly limited numbers. Definitely not the makings of an army.

One things for sure we should continue improve our relations with the mechanicus. and also we should do a tech expedition next turn see if we can find something that we can share with the Blazing Wardens and Smilnay

Upgrading our serfs to elite tier can only mean good things for us, as they would give even space marines a run for their money. The problem? It costs 2 actions to invest as far as im aware.

Its a real shame we can't just locally produce our own hellgun and carapace armors locally. Maybe if we explore the bunkers and sites of our homeworld we might find some abandoned manufactorums or DaoT workshops we could repurpose.

On the topic of what to do with the schematics of the corvis PA and volkite weapons, any easy answer would be "Found it due to the warp." The warp is bullshit. Like, we could give the corvus PA to our "parent" chapter the Raven Guard and say we found it in an abandoned hulk, and we assumed the crew was lost in the warp so we took what we could and fucked off before the hulk popped back into the warp.

In regards to volkite tehcnology? Say some bullshit like our home boy reverse engineered it, or covered paper book copy of the schematics in dirt, smother ir in purity seals and call it a day. Sarcasm, but no really as bullshit as it would be, reintroducing Volkite tech back into the Imperium could net us gooding if the social marines are utilize right.

Hey @ThunderOwl just a question, can I use romanian and some german sounding names for the geography of Luctus or should I stick with hungaro-serbian names?
For Luctusian names I use Romanian, Polish, Russian, Hungarian, Serbian, Czech and Ukranian. In general, anything Slavic goes, but German doesn´t fit with the theme.
Also @ThunderOwl is the Vote still open or is it closed
Closed.
