- Crushing Defeat: Worried about the growing power in the region various kingdoms and empires of various sizes and strengths have formed a coalition to exterminate it, gathering a host composed of nearly 200,000 men they fought against the enemy 45,000, but even with these massive numbers they were crushed by the forces of the Wais Empire as the growing power has named themselves.
Wut, 200k lost against 45k,
Interesting...

If we could interfere here that would be nice
be it sending troops or sabotaging would go a long way
We're DEFINITELY siding Velana though. No way in Hell am I gonna support this backstabbing Bastard Mannfred.
I was under the impression we were going to go there in person and absorb velana's faction and take them back to brettonia rather than just support them while personally destroying mannfred while also recruiting any vampires not in either of the factions.

Either way if we want to avoid a war we need to get the ones we support out of there and into our territory since the empire will just see it as us supporting their enemy if they see us just supporting a faction but if we destroy one faction while secretly absorbing the other then everything should be fine.

Dracul being there personally would probably make things a lot easier.

Meh, most of the 200k army was definitely peasants. If the Wais empire has an army of 45,000 trained soldiers(or at least the majority of their Army are) than it's impressive but still possible, they probably also have some elites as well.

Fair. But again: Mannfred is definitely NOT the Guy we want on our side. That's the Bastard who during the End Times directly caused the End of the World because he was a backstabbing Asshole.

Umm, I said I wanted us to personally destroy mannfred, I never said anything about allying with him. I was taking about absorbing Velena's faction not Mannfred's. So I don't understand why you responded to me with this.

On a completely different topic, for travel we can use birona's time warp + bridge of shadows to make trips even faster. I'm talking about using both at the same time.

Ah, sorry. I misunderstood then.

*Raises Eyebrow* Interesting, I am actually suprised Neferata let her go that easily as the page claims, she tries to kill the ones who try to leave as your Lahmian vampires did.

I will have to make a decision to see if she is canon, and if she is alter her history a bit.

Border Princes

Er, who exactly was this? Estalia, Tilea, and the Empire all have their own problems (as does Kislev, but they're too far away anyway). Did Araby launch an invasion from a thousand miles away or something? Did Cathay and Ind send armies? Did Imperial colonies in the New World have a panic and send a huge army to the Borderlands? Did Norsca and the people from the Chaos Wastes randomly decide "hey, fuck those guys in particular", and launch some kind of raider Armada?

There should be absolutely no "kingdoms or empires" left to attack them, unless you're talking about Dwarves, Orcs, Skaven, or Tomb Kings, who probably all have their own problems anyway, and no reason to worry about the unification of the Border Princes in the first place.

Where did these Kingdoms and Empires come from? This bit of the rumour mill just doesn't make any sense.

I think the people who attacked were other border princes because of the previous rumor mill where it said this.
it has become noticeably big in it's territory and many of the other king and emperors of the region worry themselves of the growing power.
So they are from the same region.

As for how this new empire came to be and what is going on down there, I don't know. Maybe the Qm rolled for it or something.

Apparently Neferata allowed her to roam free and even had her Lahmians secretly aid Genevieve because Genevieve had a gift for making people see vampires in a more positive light and thus inadvertently made the humans more compliant slaves. Not bad for a clairvoyant, Kung fu, death magic wielding French vampire!

This is actually something that Neferata would do to expand her influence she always likes using unwitting pawns. Still deciding if I should make her canon or not. The fact that the priests of Morr don't want her head makes this confusing.

They actually do, but she's typically only fed on willing people so she was low priority and after she helped save the Empire and later killed Drachenfels they kinda backed off because Karl Franz liked her. That all changed when that Antiochus guy came came to power in the cult of Morr. He tried to start another vampire war by making a law mandating the destruction of unclaimed dead bodies...which would make all vampires subject to destruction under the law. Anyway the law got overturned after Antiochus himself got turned into a vampire by Genevieve's grand sire Melissa. The order allowed him to live but Morr immediately retracted his blessing from him. Sigmar interestingly seems ok with her. He buffed her mortal lover to kill Drach and he allowed the Arch lector to minister her marriage without smiting everyone.

She was written early in Warhammer history back when the canon wasn't fully established. I mean hell Vlad con Carstein had a mortal part vampire descendant back then (he shows up in the last Genevieve story)!

Anyway at the time the quest takes places she's not known to the Empire and probably still traveling the world. Her timeline is kinda vague and so best guess is she should have just started heading west from Cathay after training under Master Po.

Edit: Happy New Year!
