Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

Charles wanted to destroy the World of C, to make things 'better' for everyone.

Imagine his reaction when he finds out the World of C's destruction will just make things 'worse.'

Also didn't Arthur have golden eyes?

Ah, yes, you are correct.

It seems that our intervention came too late, then.

Maybe it at least made the resulting Shadowland smaller.

Depends on what the possible Abyssal's inclinations are; if they're a "loyalist" to the Deathlords/Neverborn, that's a significant future problem.

If they're making Shadowlands, they're a significant problem no matter what. Now, that would certainly make it more significant, but really the Abyssals are much better designed for their comparatively simple task (kill everything) as compared to the Infernals, who were designed by a committee whose members are working at semi-cross purposes for a very complicated task that nobody is sure how to do. The Neverborn are pretty sure they can just wind up the Abyssals, let them go do their thing, and they'll get the job done eventually.

As the lack of Past Life and Savant Background may hint, the former bearer of Lelouch's Exaltation died very young, and didn't left many memories in it.

Actually I am not sure I want to give anyone those Backgrounds, because I am not sure how to show/handle them.

I think it's fine if you don't give anyone in the Coven those backgrounds, or just do away with them for this AU. The Savant one would especially be troublesome, given that it could unbalance things in the hands of someone good at Craft by getting all those First Age wonders available for making.

Hmmm, and I thought us stopping the massacre would prevent Shinjuku from becoming a Shadowland. Damn.
The killing of many residents was the final nail to make Shinjuku a Shadowland. The killing of Britannian soldiers too.
IIRC Britannia was already happily slaughtering the inhabitants by the hundreds or thousands by the time Lelouch got his hands on a Knightmare in Canon, so it was merely cut short, rather than prevented. And here the massacre continued for about an hour longer, due to Lelouch spending time in the Chrysalis.
Combine that with our leadership being even more efficient than in canon due to Excellency/Charms, and chances are a *lot* more people died on both sides.

That's a valid point. Unfortunately, we're not going to be able to curtail that for a while.

That's XCOM Exalted!

i got the idea of a 'family meeting' between lelouch and some of his siblings... like Schneizel and Cornelia, who i think likely to have exalted (and not necessarily as terrestrial) . it may be that Clovis exalted as a Dragonblooded as well... i imagine it would make a family reunion between the siblings very interesting, especially with a sidereal among them. Maybe even have one of the many royal princes an abyssal (Or V.V.)...

also Kallan is Zero's main battle piece-his queen. maybe she will get an epic fail and become the coven's Slayer? unless there are other plans for her/the Slayer spot...

because the idea of Lulu as a target of interested romance/teasing by the girls of their mostly female coven seems funny (Kaguya, Milly, Kallan).

And what of Sayoko? i am certain it was more then perception when she was surprised at Lelouch... if she is not a exalt, then a version of immaculate probably (seems to fit with the heir to a ninja dojo which is her canon background).

Schnezeil and Cornelia are probably Dragon-Blooded. Which is good for us, since they would be good Solar candidates otherwise.

Clovis may or may not have Exalted. I think he probably didn't, but i am not sure.

Euphemia probably isn't a terrestrial, and may Exalt as a Eclipse later. Which is worrisome, since she has a good chance of subverting our assets.

Sayoko i suspect is a Sidereal, but we don't have proof. She can be some an Inmaculate too.

No idea who the Slayer is, but certainly is not Kallen. I hope she exalts as a Lunar later.

And Suzaku is a Enlightened mortal who knows terrestrial martial arts.

Either she's a very perceptive Heroic Mortal, or she's an Enlightened Essence user. I'm leaning towards the former. Remember that Lelouch jumped up two dots of Appearance - that's a pretty large change.

All the other Infernals in our Coven have already Exalted, according to the GM.

Sayoko i suspect is a Sidereal, but we don't have proof. She can be some an Inmaculate too.

She probably wouldn't have checked for a mask first thing if she was a Sidereal - she'd just use some Essence detection Charm to find out we're Exalted first, and then get a really weird answer back.

Actually, the libraries of Orabilis have the designs for many of said Wonders. Said what you want about the guy, he takes his job seriously. One may think he's compensating for Florivet's devil-may-care attitude...
The whole point of Infernals is to be B (for Bond, with our particular act of villany) movie villains. If we don't ham it up, we will have shamed the Yozi!
It's interesting how Yozi's charms offer greater chances for hamminess than the Solars, don't you think so?

Alright, so tomorrow I will be out all day. That, and other things means the thread will experience a small pause of 1-2 days, maybe 3.

That said, there are some things I need the help of everyone first:

1) Woe is me, because I didn't think until now about the most important of Lelouch's possible Intimacies: Chess!
This means I need your help to define it properly. That, and I would like your input if Lelouch's Intimacies are fine as they are or need changing because repetitive or something (the maximum number of Intimacies is [Willpower+Compassion]. The one from the UC doesn't count):
Nunnally (Familial? Love, Obsession)(Positive)
Suzaku (Friendship, Rivalry)(Positive)
Milly (Fond Friendship)(Positive)
Silk (Appreciation)(Positive)*
Your mother's death (Trauma, Vengeance)(Negative)
Britannia (Hate, Disgust)(Negative)
Emperor Charles (Hate, Disgust, Fear)(Negative)

*From UC

2) One of the Charms from Oramus' Charmset must receive a Pantheon-Keyword. Read the relevant Threadmark for more info. Possible choices are:
[] Masque Of Hollow Faces
[] Glimpsed Through A Warped Mirror
[] Fractured Mind Empowerment
[] Muse of Unearthly Delights
[] Nightmares Glanced Through Mind's Eye
[] Midnight's Shadow Scars
[] Pyreflame Footlights
[] Bright Costumes and Bold Makeup
[] Write-in (either another or custom made)

Regarding Lelouch having an Intimacy towards Chess, maybe Enjoyment and Influence. The first because he enjoys playing, the second because the game somewhat influences his worldview.

As far as Pantheon Charms go...

[X] Muse of Unearthly Delights

Oramus creates unique stuff, so we could use this as the basis for a demon that crafts unique artifacts while living inside of our Fourth-Soul Devil Domain.

Where does his whole "If the king does not lead, how can he expect his subordinates to follow" shtick fall? Is it a Specialty, a weird Intimacy, or just fluff?

Things like these is why i prefer the principles+relationships system over the intimacy+motivation one. It just works better.

But yeah, Mantle of Kings describes this well enough.

...Suzaku has the Offensive to Animals Flaw, doesn't he.

EDIT: Or Offensive to Cats rather, if that is a thing in Exalted.

[X] Chess (Competitiveness, Pride) (Positive)

The others seem fine, but I'd call Milly's

[X] Milly (Exasperated Friendship) (Positive)

Considering that she can really drive him bonkers with her antics, but he accepts it as part of her nature.

Well I'm sad you didn't like my custom charm, but I'll suggest this one:
[X] Masque Of Hollow Faces

Because it creates a new identity, somewhat fitting the idea of making a new person, and is 3 charms deep, as the guidelines suggest. It's also a low enough Essence rating that we'll be able to make use of it in-quest. My second choice, Glimpsed Through A Warped Mirror, is E5.

Britannia's Areas
[X] Muse of Unearthly Delights

Oramus creates unique stuff, so we could use this as the basis for a demon that crafts unique artifacts while living inside of our Fourth-Soul Devil Domain.
It can also inspires others in exchange for sanity. So Muse and its requisite.

It's not I don't like it, it's just that I don't think it's balanced.

Alright, something you may find useful. The exact composition of Britannia, or at least what will be used in this quest:

-Homeland (United States)
-Area 1 (Canada)
-Area 2 (Greenland)
-Area 3 (Mexico)
-Area 4 (Cuba)
-Area 5 (Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, ecc.)
-Area 6 (Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile, Argentina)
-Area 7 (Hawaii and Midway Atoll)
-Area 8 (Southern Pacific Islands and New Zealand)
-Area 9 (Papua New Guinea, Federated States of Micronesia)
-Area 10 (Philippines)
-Area 11 (Japan)
-Area 12 (Morocco, Algeria)

This list was compiled using the wiki and logic. Then again, I don't know if it is something that make sense politically and militarily. Or if I need to include butterflies due to Solars resurfacing. Then again, Malfeas wasn't the only one having troubles finding acceptable candidates, so I suppose the effects don't need to be quite so immediate. They're here however, oh if they are.

Europe has been left untouched?

Strange. I may not have followed Code Geass, but i expected anything from the united kingdom to conquest europe first.
