On a completely different subject: exactly how are the Divine Mafiosi, the Drug Guru, and Morrigan, Raksha Hunter going to react when they find out that their infernal patron - the Ebon Dragon, Lord of Deceit, Agent of Dissolution and Architect of Impurity...
... decided to trick a little British preteen into accepting his other Exaltation by convincing her that she's living in a magical girl anime, complete with a talking stuffed animal sidekick?
What's it going to do to their minds when they realize that, when allowed to choose just six people to act as its agents in Creation, the Shadow of All Things created a parody of Sailor Moon and went "Here, man, this is your backup, right here. Ebon Dragon represent."
Hell, it's not just the sheer WTF aspect of it: Morrigan's quite aware that the Ebon Dragon is bad juju, and the other two must have gotten at least a basic overview from their Coadjutors, enough to know their boss isn't terribly nice. Having to work with someone who serves as living evidence of both just how monstrous their patron can be and how good said patron is at manipulating mortals can't possibly be good for their mental health.

frankly I think everyone's reaction to radiant shadow will be amazing. both for the dissonance of dealing with a sailor moon alike, and sheer horror at what the ebon dragon has wrought.

She really is kind of his masterpiece, isn't he?
Isla was offered an Exaltation in order to salvage her belief in magical girls - in other words, the Ebon Dragon intervened to help support a false worldview, helping her to live a lie.
She is constantly lied to and manipulated, and as a result is used to lie to and manipulate others. Her entire purpose in the Reclamation is to lure other Exalts to the side of Yozi, with Isla's own innocence and sincerity acting as a lure.
Her actions under his "guidance" serve as a constant, vicious refutation of what she believes in, making her an unknowing hypocrite and defiling the very archetype she tries to live up to.
Several of the other Green Sun Princes will find Isla Proudfoot's situation unconscionable... but telling her the truth would spoil the Ebon Dragon's fun, and screwing with a Yozi can have all manner of hideous repercussions even when they aren't paying your metaphorical salary. Her presence will force the more moral Infernal Exalts to compromise their beliefs - and whether they do so out of fear, duty, or through desperate rationalization, their beliefs are still being compromised so that a demented sociopath can continue to exploit the trust and compassion of a small child.
Best of all, the whole enterprise has an elevator pitch of "a nigh-omnipotent force of corruption and darkness puts significant time and effort into screwing with a little girl who doesn't know any better by giving her magic powers", which sounds like the most petty, stupid, and pathetic waste of everyone's time that the Ebon Dragon could possibly engage in. In other words, this plan even makes a mockery of itself.
Until we get hard evidence to the contrary, I'm going to put forth the motion that Isla Proudfoot's Exaltation is the single most brilliant, intricate, and effective plot the Shadow of All has come up with in at least the last millennium.

so does the plan get more or less effective when her most likely response to finding this out is to try and redeem the ebon dragon? forcing him to permanently betray his own nature as an asshole for example, or recasting him as the loyal opposition of creation.

One of his big themes is the idea of double standards, hypocritical behavior, denying the truth, something that has one nature being polluted by another.
Honestly? Getting the Ebon Dragon to 180 and start acting like a NG humanitarian seems like it would play into his essential nature, since his essential nature is about things acting contrary to their basic properties or seeming to be something that they aren't.
Fuck, for all I know, that would sufficiently warp his metaphysique to let him start slipping out of the chains the gods bound him in. Maybe that's the plan.

She'll be out doing so much recruiting for the magical yozi freedom force that there will soon be more mahou shoujo than Infernal Exalted, then the entire operation will flip and the Dragon's plan will be complete.

You will need to get out of your current location before the roof collapses, but to do so a distraction is needed. Fortunately the knight commanding the enemy forces is close enough to you and has revealed something she fears. You guess that one time you read a psychology textbook to see how it was will finally put to good use.
"What do you have in mind?"
'Watch and learn.' You walk back to your observation point and take another quick glance to ascertain the knight is still in the same position. She is: perfect.
You are glad you are wearing a mask, if only so your allies won't see the devilish grin on your face. You begin singing quietly. "The itsy-bitsy spider crawled up the water spout." Soon enough, the shadows begin to join in, seven illusory demons spawning behind the enemy leader singing much more loudly. "Down came the rain and washed the spider out." You almost pity the ghost whose mind is snapping already as she screams at the unspeakable nightmares that have spawned behind her, desperately trying to fend them off. Taking that as your signal to attack you round the corner and, glad to see all of them are looking away from your position, you aim at the knight's back and channel the power of Oramus.
For an instant the world feels…disjointed, like a train that got off the rails. You don't have hands holding a gun but fearsome claws that drip with the blood of time, seams coming undone as everything just feels apart and what is missing you don't know it has always been that-
Then it becomes a quiet noise in the back of your head as you pull the trigger and fire! You can almost see the electrified spikes, piercing through the air as physics and Essence guide their path right into-
The knight drops down to her knees and starts sobbing, the projectiles harmlessly passing through your illusions and hitting a soldier right in the visor, piercing straight through glass and unleashing the voltage right into his face.
"OH COME ON!!!" Seyrun screams in frustration. "WHAT THE FUCK?!
As the demon has so eloquently said, what the fuck indeed? But before you can attempt to calculate the odds of what happened, somewhere around the 0.00001% you are sure, two shouts rises above the sound of automatic weapons.
"DIE!"
"DEATH TO BRITANNIA!"
And then Akito and Akio falls from above right in the middle of the ghosts, hitting the ground with such force to raise a literal waterspout of detritus.
Once you dreamed of finding individuals worthy of respect who would join you in your vengeance against Britannia, each one adding peerless martial might and other specialties to your own strategic mind.
Now you would gladly settle for a bunch of idiots that need your constant coaching to avoid shooting themselves with their own guns every ten seconds. It's funny how unpredictable life sometimes turns out to be.
'For now-' You swap the Stormwand for the Hellcaster. 'I guess I will just vent my stress with violence.'
You jump out of your hiding place and start shooting at anything dead, the others following your lead.
"So she escaped?"
"Yes, I am sorry." Kaguya continues her report after interrogating the prisoners. "It seems her soldiers are exceptionally loyal to her, so the first thing they did was bring her to safety while the majority of the troops delayed us."
"At this point they have likely reached the Underworld already." You muse. "Did you get their leader's identity, and what they are doing there?"
"They were reticent at first, but the threat of being melted into soulsteel, something Peer Nadir and his sword enforced, broke their resistances. The knight's name is Villetta Nu."
Ah, that's the Knightmare pilot that got eaten while you were in the Chrysalis and then you framed as a traitor. That makes sense.
"They don't know much, since they joined recently and the main base is situated outside the Shadowland, but according to their words they want to be allowed back into the Britannian Army and are creating an army...as a gift to the Emperor."
"That's, like, so retarded I have no words."
'Me neither.' You voice such thoughts aloud. "That's impossible no matter how you spin it. Their wish is just a crazed thought produced by their refusal to accept death. That they got this far is-" You pause, as a sinking feeling in your gut. "Suspicious. Is it possible they are getting support from an external source?"
"Like a Deathlord." Kaguya agrees. "Still, the cause of the recent increase in ghost attacks was them trying, and failing, to gather them as shock troops. With their progress destroyed and their numbers reduced everything will return to normal...for the foreseeable future."
After going over the last details Kaguya leaves to issue new orders, leaving you with the Anuhles. Sitting down on a piece of rubble you raise a hand and twist your wrist in a certain manner.
Seven pale grey ephemeral ribbons unfold around your arm. It has been a surprise at first, before you remembered that this, too, is one of the benefits of Oramus' powers.
To "mark" targets and completely annihilate both body and soul upon their death. Neither gods or spirits were immune, making it the perfect tool to kill what cannot be killed.
The only thing that remains, a single Trace of Essence that retains the target's essential Essence. Something, Seyrun informed you, could be used in a crafting process.
As far as methods to gather supplies go, this is certainly peculiar.
'Still, even if I don't need them it would be a waste to just toss them away.' Dispelling them you stand up and move to rejoin the others, you trusted assassins behind you. 'Maybe Rakshata could find a use for them.'

We basically mindscrewed Ghost!Villetta with her most primal fears and the cause of her original death. Not very nice. /understatment

So, unless I got my system backwards, doesn't that translates to a whooping 10 successes? Before charms? And we still missed?
So we apparently used our spirit killer enough time to fill up our slots (seems kind of expensive at 5m a shot) and got ourself the essence of seven Britannian War Ghosts. Lelouch can't do much with them I think, unless he wants to make some kind of ghost poison,
Also given we have "prisoners" does that mean that Kaguya bound a few of them? Could be useful for her to have some ghostly minions.
Less a miss and more an extremely lucky accidental dodge on her part, it seems. She fell to her knees just after we pulled the trigger. Basically GM fiat to keep her alive and uncaptured for later use, I think. Not something he should do too often, but if he's got sufficiently good plot going I can live with it.
