Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

Something ain't right with you Enjou.

I approve.

But what I want to know is why we can't at least try the peaceful solution first.

Normally I'm nicer in quests than this, but since we're playing Lelouch it's easy to be a bit evil. Conviction 4 for the win!

But what I want to know is why we can't at least try the peaceful solution first.

Because we're playing Lelouch, not Euphemia or even Suzaku. :D

Plus they're already shooting at us, and Villetta appears to be in no condition to see reason - she's a ghost having a panic attack due to being reminded of what killed her.

You know, I'd love a Lelouch's Mind. As he is surrounded by idiots and crazy people, 18 year old control-freak and latent-sadist Lelouch vi Britannia has to get this train wreck to somehow overthrow Britannia. In this episode, Lelouch deals with stubborn dead people and whether or not it's ok to plan intentional friendly fire.

I very much approve this plan and its TED-style dickishness. :D

On how to improve it, do the singing shadow-spiders count as an intimidation-based social attack meant to distract her made by Performance or something? How does that work in the combat if that is the case? Also, if it is a social attack, maybe we should enhance it by Excellencies and/or Words That Twist Like Daggers? As WTTLD -caused Derangements last with our current Essence -rating until the end of the scene, this could leave her catatonic (or something similiarly crippling) until the combat ends.

In Exalted, you can't use Social Attacks in combat, period.

Rather disappointing, to be honest, since it means a lot of stuff one might see in movies, stories or series isn't possible (ie, talking the opponent down while defending against his attacks).

Pity really that we can't add social-fu in this after we have joined battle. Not that Viletta would be able to care of it anyway, full out panic is kinda nice way to defend social attacks. :lol

Well, you can, but social combat turns are ten times as long, and unnatural mental influence doesn't work... (Or that's just a homebrew thing and I have no clue what I'm talking about, which is more likely :V ).

One of my favorite changes to Ex3 to be honest.

[X] Plan Itsy Bitsy Spider

finally caught up. This is currently an incredible experience and the amount of dedication of omakes/GSP creations from the player base is simply impressive.

@Enjou, how about using Shadow Spite Curse to make it more unlikely that Viletta resists the stun effect? As our opponent is not an another Celestial Exalt this time, even two uses of it could be enough to make sure she goes down. Aside from that, nothing more to add.

Just caught up on this quest, and looking back on 1st Circle Devas for Sinnithare that were discussed a while ago, and especially the headphone snipers, I'm thinking that she should have a 2nd Circle that kills people with the music she plays. She propably looks like one of the Courtier 1stCs. She possibly considers killing as helping people rest forever.

A 2CD with that mentality would be fitting for a Yozi, but probably not for a Green Sun Prince. The Yozis have alien mentalities that are limited by their themes which are also affected by their anger and hate at their confinement in Hell, and their sub-souls reflect that. The GSPs are human at their base, though, so some of that should transfer to their 3CDs and 2CDs. It's very unlikely one would spawn a 2CD that thought that killing people is something favorable to them unless the GSP had similar thoughts that could be twisted in that direction through the relevant Excellency and Pantheon Charm.

Now, certainly you could get one that would kill people through music - that would just be more of a how it does something, rather than a why. It just wouldn't likely consider what it's doing as helping the victims, unless there was some specific context like someone wishing to die. I would imagine such a 2CD would be a good possible Warden soul for Sinnihtáre.

Music that puts people to sleep? A knock-off of the Angyalka (who invoke sad recollection with their music) perhaps?

I think he means the music actually kills. Like, perhaps the 2CD would have an instrument that would play a song, and if you stay to listen to the whole song you have a heart attack or something due to Charm shenanigans.

I did suggest a Sinnihtáre Pantheon-Anchored Charm that would put people to sleep with music, which includes sleeping until they die.

Yeah, I understood he meant death, but I think that sort of thing is more fitting for an Abyssal than an Infernal.

Then again, Sinnihtáre is born of TED, who spends too much time looking into the abyss underworld.

But I feel she's more rest and pleasant competence than nihilism and mortality. After all, we know for a fact that death isn't eternal rest, it's either suffering in the Underworld or getting another spin on the wheel of reincarnation.
