Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

Seeing how the entire point of this little excercise is to get information, capturing the most well-informed ghost in the area makes sense.
Also, having a relatively strong ghost as an ally for the rest of the mission or even future missions could be useful.

Of course, we could just kill her again instead, because apperently killing the same person again for the lolz regardless of potential use is something some players want, for some reason.

...huh. I was reading through some of the older posts in the quest, and look what I stumbled on from around December time:
Still feel Villette Nu has a part to play.

Or rather, her ghost.
Is that good guesswork, the GM giving him/her spoilers, or just plain weird?

I think that's just being genre savvy: CG recieved elements of Exalted. Exalted has the metaphysics to allow for dead characters to return if dramaticaly appropriate. Villette is a named character and of some minor importance in canon, and we just walked to a shadowland where she died. It does'nt realy take a lot to make such a guess based on that.

It makes more sense in context. So it isn't really mock-worthy.
It sounded like I was mocking veekie? In that case, I'm sorry, didn't mean it that way. It was meant to just make fun of the FS/N (which I still love), as I felt it was the perfect opportunity to bring that gem up again.

And you are right it is a relevant piece of information. This mean that if we are going to be killing any living beings here (especially Exalts other than Abyssals), we should probably make sure when first killing them that they don't come back to haunt us.

Was it actually a shadowland when she died, I wonder? It became one during the massacre/battle, but was it one yet when she actually died?
Pretty sure someone who dies in an event that creates a Shadowland would count anyway. After all, both the Hun and Po souls remain around for three days before the higher soul goes to lethe or the Underworld. Even if it was'nt a Shadowland the instant she died, it sure as hell was by the end of the day, so her soul would still be around when it turned into a Shadowland.

I mean that the full line is " People die when they are killed. That's how it should be." Because Shirou had just given up Avalon which had been repairing him from all the suicidally stupid things he was doing.

Edge case, but any slaughter which creates a Shadowland is also probably Significant enough to spawn a vengeful ghost after.

Especially without proper rites.

Oh, you actually meant making fun of FS/N? I knew the full version and the context when I made that post, but it is just so fun to make fun of it if you take that one sentence seperate from everything else. :p

Anyway, back to business. No matter what we do, I think that having the Anuhles as a distraction while our Exalts and other demons strike the ghosts while they are focusing on the giant spiders could work. As the one leading them looks to be quite fixated on demonic spiders and also seems to have supernatural-level awarness regarding them (though hopefully not against anything else), I think it would be a good starting point on how we will go about this.

@Alexander89 - are we in range to use our Stormrod on her?

Also, given we didn't do any rolls, did we actually use any of our Essence or stunt dice in the last turn?

The last XP expenditure plan had XP slotted for it, so we already wanted to spend XP on it once it was ready. See here. Performance and Dodge should also already be upped.

You might want to put what's being worked on currently and what's lined up under our current XP so it's easier to keep track of.
Oh, right right.
What forces do we have immediately available to us, and what sort of condition is everyone in essence-wise?
Those that were described in the last posts. Essence-wise everyone is 3/4 full.
@Alexander89, @Enjou, I was hoping the two of you could give me some advice on my GSP Inspector Hildebrand idea. I know that I won't be able to have it become official until at least one of the current GSPs dies for whatever reason, but I would like to go ahead and get started, and that requires plotting out some information that would probably be in the GM's domain, such as Ul'Dah, how that works, and all that jazz. This is my last GSP idea, and I'd really like it to be high-quality when it's posted, which is why I'm asking for help. Of course, this is probably something that is best discussed in a conversation, so if you'd like to help, just leave a note on my profile and I'll start a convo with the two of you.
Sure, but that's probably better to discuss it via PM.
@Alexander89 - How far is Viletta from Lelouch's current position? Is she in range for him to fire his Hellcaster at her? (50 meters, IIRC)
Less: she's 20 meters from where Lelouch is hiding.

I believe it's the first.

So, if, say I was to have Lelouch quietly begin singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider, we could use Darkling Grace Complete to have The Things Which Lurk in Corners generate a large number of shadow illusion Anuhles also singing the song as a chorus directly behind Viletta? :D
That would be totally evil, but still allowed

That's such an asshole move!

Ebby would be proud.

Achievement Unlocked!
Draconic Urge -- Do something so jaw droppingly evil that the rest of the gaming group is left speechless for a few seconds by how much of a dick move that was.
Also, have a video with the music in question sung in appropriate fashion to listen when you do the finishing touches for your plan.

Ok, got my plan done. @Alexander89 - let me know if there are any issues with it. To everyone else, let me know if you've got any other suggestions.

[X] Plan Itsy Bitsy Spider

Strategy:
- You will need to get out of your current location before the roof collapses, but you will need a distraction to do so. Fortunately, the knight commanding the enemy forces is close enough to you and has revealed something she fears. You will quietly begin singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" and use Darkling Grace Complete to generate shadow illusion Anuhles who will sing along within enemy lines to cause a distraction, specifically behind the knight ghost. Once her back is turned you can shoot her with your Stormwand in an attempt to disable her. If she is incapacitated, once the other enemies are defeated you can see about possibly having Kaguya bind her to her will for interrogation after you leave, using threats of spiders to make her cooperate with the binding if need be. If not, you'll just need to kill her, so have Milly and/or Kaguya use their attack Charms to finish the job.

Charm Use:
- Darkling Grace Complete to create shadow illusion Anuhles within the enemy lines. Have them spawn in groups of seven.
- Reality Raking Claws during your shot againt the knight ghost, in case you have to kill her - that way she'll stay dead this time.
- If it's necessary to achieve a surprise attack, use Calulating Dho-Hna Angles. If surprise can be achieved otherwise (enemy's back is turned) don't bother.
- Three uses of First Oramus Excellency on the shot.
- Three uses of First Oramus Excellency to enhance a War roll, if needed.

Stunt: You are glad you are wearing a mask, if only so your allies won't see the devilish grin on your face. You begin singing quietly. "The itsy-bitsy spider crawled up the water spout." Soon enough, the shadows begin to join in, seven illusory demons spawning behind the enemy leader singing much more loudly. "Down came the rain and washed the spider out." You almost pity the ghost whose mind is snapping already as she screams at the unspeakable nightmares that have spawned behind her, desperately trying to fend them off. You take that as your signal to attack, round the corner and fire at her with your Stormwand.

This plan:

[X] Plan Itsy Bitsy Spider

wow, I think this plan is cruel enofgh that it also counts as a dig aginst the ebon dragon, since it rubs in his face exactly what he lost when oramus stole lelouch out from under him.
