Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

Canonically Clovis orders the slaughter stopped because Lelouch makes him do so at gunpoint, and a slaughter does not occur when Cornelia takes over his role as Governor in canon either.
I'm personally inclined to put that down to the fact that Shinjuku is basically depopulated at that time, both from the massacre and everyone fleeing in the aftermath. I think you might be forgetting that one of Cornelia's first actions was to order the massacre of Satima ghetto in order to "replicate the circumstances" of Zero's first appearance and draw him out. Not for the reason's described but let's not pretend Cornelia's opposed to the mass murder of civilians.

How are people planning to get to Clovis? We don't have Geass or the password, so we won't just be let through as in canon, and giant spiders murdering guards are a bit more noticable than what looks like a conversation between guards. If we we use the terrorists there is a very high likelihood we won't get to have our private moment with Clovis to make the oath's that are being suggested, or IC to find out what he knows about Marrianne's death. They'll likely demand we just shoot him (or worse do it if Tamaki's involved).

@Alexander89 - How long has it been since we sent out our demons to spy on the enemy base?
It's been 30-40 minutes. I think at least, I am not nearly knowledgeable enough to guess how an urban battle between giant robot may take. Do any of you know?

How much XP do we have, if any?
Just curious, and want to start planning for what Abilities and Charms we may need or want.

@Alexander89 I noticed Milly and the rest of the council wasn't mentioned on the Intimacies list.
You have yet to gather any.

They are his friends yes, but Lelouch cares so much about Nunnaly and revenge than the rest gets overshadowed. They just don't have the same intensity.

Just a note - this is a one die stunt at best, and may not even count as a stunt as it's not all that stuntlike. If you write one you should ask @Alexander89 if it counts as one and how many dice it gets.
Yes, it's an one-die stunt.

I wasn't planning on involving the terrorists. This would be an operation to sneak in. Loom-Snarling Deception is a powerful tool, and we're already disguised as a Britannian soldier. We're also a consummate manipulator.

Get in, report we have information about the terrorists that needs to be told to a general or the Prince directly, in private as the information is sensitive. (hinting they have a traitor in the ranks) If we get a general, we use Loom-Snarling Deception to take his form and get to the Prince for an audience. Use the spiders to kill people if absolutely necessary.

*shrug* It's all fiction. If you say 30-40 minutes, it's how long it's been.

If we are choosing to try and kill Clovis, can we make it so that some of the cell members keep the stolen sutherlands? I mean, so that they aren't destroyed by the Lancelot.

*facepalms* I know how we can get to Clovise. Even Lelouch should suspect that Clovis would knows about this. We tell them we have information on what the terrorists stole (C.C.) and that it's for the prince's ears only. He'd probably jump on that immediately and have us rushed to his room.

Any thoughts on this?

Well, would we be doing this by ourselves, or have our subordinates try and do more damage first?

Also, do we do anything so that some of the terrorists can retreat in good order, or do we leave them like before?

Finally, do you know if we are going to be facing any Solars? i don't want to mess with those guys.

Seems good. Of course any sane guard would ask us for an ID, but we can sidestep that with enough successes in a manipulation roll i guess. We are a chosen of Ebbie after all.

We'll have our spider minions following us dematerialized. Also, I intend to order the terrorists to retreat.

If there was a Solar there, it's highly unlikely we'd have done as well as we did.

Hmmm... Loom-Snarling Deception is pretty damn good at making disguises - in fact it creates a false identity in the Loom of Fate when it has to. @Alexander89 - does our current disguise have an ID on it?

Honestly, Clovis is incompetent. Leaving him in charge would do more good for our cause than killing him.

Seyrun said Shinjuku is half Shadowland already, this massacre will probably push it over into a full one. As far as I'm aware, a Shadowland directly next to a major city is a major headache in itself, combined with Oramus and EB's necromancy charms, it may be a major advantage to us to let the slaughter continue.

That the outrage and horror amongst the Elevens will boost recruitment quite nicely is an added bonus.

I like your cold undead logic.

Ok, came up with a plan and a stunt. Vote by name as I may need to make alterations, but I'll let everyone know when they happen. @Alexander89 - let me know if this works.

[X] After committing so many troops Clovis' base must have few guards remaining. This is the perfect opportunity to reach him.
-[X] Strategy: Order the terrorists to disengage and retreat, giving them a route if there's one available. If they can stow the Knightmares somewhere safe for later use, great, but if not they should abandon them. No matter what they need to get out of Shinjuku, and let them know you'll try to contact them later if you can. They should lay low until then. Meanwhile, you'll head towards Clovis's base. Send one of your minions to recall those already sent so they can give you as accurate a picture of what's going on as possible. While you're waiting ask Seyrun to give you a rundown of the abilities at your disposal. Once your minions have returned get their report. If there doesn't seem to be anyone who can detect them or any other nasty surprises in store begin your infiltration. If they did find something, or they don't return at all, reassess the situation before committing to going in.
--[X] Infiltration Strategy: If an insufficient number of your minions have the Essence to materialize to get you out of a bind or kill interlopers if needed, make sure to let them feed on some Britannian soldiers before you go in. Otherwise go ahead. Using manipulation, you'll get a private meeting with Clovis. You have two pieces of bait to report - the first is that you have information on what the terrorists stole (knowing it is more than just poison gas) and the second is that you have information about traitors in the ranks that allowed the terrorists to get the upper hand and only the Prince can be trusted with the information.
-[X] Stunt: "You there!" you say in the most authoritative tone you can muster, grabbing the attention of the posted guards. You quickly flash your ID card and put it away before they can inspect it closely. "I am with Internal Affairs, and I must speak privately with His Highness immediately. I have vital information about what the terrorists have stolen, as well as regarding possible traitors in our ranks." The guards look at eachother, their uncertainty clear. "But, sir, I..." "No buts! I will not have it! Go now and be back in the next seven minutes or I swear you won't like the consequences!" The guards' terror is evident on their faces, and two of them rush to get approval after a quick "Yes, My Lord!" Not long after, they return. "His Highness will see you in his private chambers, my lord. Right this way." You move to follow, your demonic minions in tow and no one the wiser.

Okay.
I wasn't sure if you were doing XP per update or not.
So, besides Omakes and Art, how do we earn XP?

Could you be bothered to expand on that?

Telling your terrorist friends to retreat rather than fight on so as to draw away defenders and reinforcement.

I believe that even in the original timeline, lulu didn't tell them to retreat either and instead used them as a distraction. It's been awhile so I could have misremember.

Regardless, the opposition has been buffed and your power strictly speaking isn't as good in the situation as absolute command.

No, in canon every last one that the Lancelot saw got defeated, the Lancelot spotted Lelouch's Sutherland hiding in a building, and then proceeded to attack him forcing Lelouch to flee. Kallen did provide a distraction at some point, before she too was defeated, and the Lancelot continued chasing him. The only thing that let him get away is that a civilian gets put in danger and Suzaku goes to save her rather than continuing pursuit.

Here we're just having our guys abandon the fight early and giving them very basic instructions, and not getting into a Knightmare battle with the Lancelot. At best everyone withdraws successfully, and at worst Suzaku pursues them and they all eject because Suzaku isn't really motivated to kill people at this time.

The fact remains that massive amount of boots on the ground were out chasing the defeated terrorists. But if they knew that all the terrorists have fled they're pull back to the overextended command position, solidify their hold on Shinjuku then kill everyone there.

We don't want that many guards around the mobile command bunker, we want everyone out chasing terrorists. Mechanically speaking this might represent a +1 or 2 Difficulty to infiltrate the bunker.

Why would they hole up at their base once it's clear the Lancelot has cowed the forces that have been kicking their asses? Right now the Lancelot is the only significant force they've got really doing anything, because everything else has been killing them. Once it's reported that the terrorists aren't engaging anymore, they'll once more believe they've secured superiority and start looking around for any remaining terrorists and the 'poison gas' that is the entire reason they're here.
