Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

from my understanding of the charm this would be enough. he wants to know what's going on, so clearly he is wishing to be smarter.
Re-reading the Charm I found this: "Prior to using this Charm, the character must have observed the target express dislike of her present state and desire for some improvement of natural aptitude or training, such as beauty or skill with a sword. The wish need not be articulated with any intention of seeking its fulfillment or even seriously, but it must be unambiguous."
He doesn't even need to mean it, he just has to say something that can be interpreted that way.

It's worth noting that he's not even a well optimized Soak Monster. If he had gone entirely into Malfean Charms, He'd have had 17 lethal and bashing soak, 10 aggravated soak, at least 4 more health levels, probably a Perfect Defense and a Close Combat Counter Attack.

We got lucky NSMS stuck to the 'turn dead bodies into metal weapons' thing.

One plus side: Now that he's up to aggravated damage, wound penalties will actually matter!

On another note, the technically correct notation for health levels is
[/] = bashing
[X] = lethal
[*] = aggravated
As this is supposed to make it easier to upgrade damage types when writing by hand.

Who said anything about Dead bodies?

But yeah, we're so lucky he doesn't have a PD, Hardened Devil Body or a surprise negator.

Right. Overly complicated kidnapping-puzzle plan is a go! Now all we need to do is actually subdue the idiot without killing him, drag him off to somewhere we won't be found, make a complicated puzzle, then find Kaguya and get her help.

isn't healing agg damage a bitch and a half? how long will it take to get this guy back on his feat after we beat him down?
Agg damage heals up at the same natural rate as Lethal, but it's very difficult to speed up that process via healing charms/magic.

If he's all the way down to Incapacitated with Aggravated damage he'll need 26 days and 6 hours of bed rest in order to heal up. And Kaguya won't really be able to heal him much faster either, given the damage is Aggravated.

I just need time to get over the fact that my laptop decided to BSoD while I was typing up the framework on the hypothetical "The World of Code Geass Which Once Was Creation - Alternate History Part 2: Electric Boogaloo" where I had the foundations of... Dutch-China War and Chinese Expansionism, Dutch-Zulu South Africa, Alternate Bakumatsu-Meiji Era and the Fall of the Emperor, The Russian Revolution and President Lenin, Union of Germanic States with Chancellor Bismarck, Austria-Hungarian Republic with King Franz Ferdinand, Best President Kim Il-Sung Exalts as an Infernal under Chinese Oppression, and Artistic Genius Gender-Bent Adolf Hitler, all of which were/are modular so you can cherry pick canonicity.
I want them all :ogles:

Anyway, it's Akio's turn. He's smoking and there is a terrible smell of cooked meat, but he's still up. He opens his mouth, probably to gloat-

And then the Chernobaalim rams into him, sending him straight into a web made by the Anuhles. What follows is 21 demons ganging up on him, trying to pin him down while they tie the web around him.

There are a lot of contusions and broken bones, but soon Akio is completely bound within a strong-as-steel cocoon.

Battle's over.

Awesome! I love having competent subordinates around!

This also means Kaguya can heal him up faster, which is good, so he'll actually be useful.

My intention is to have him swear an oath of obedience and loyalty to us (the alternative being "Here is my key to the Gates of Hell - would you like to learn what a Punishment Sphere is?") so that we can just order him to do so.

When I'm coming up with characters I tend to go more for flavour/theme than optimisation.

He doesn't need the help; Countless Cities Clotting lets him heal his injuries by himself pretty damn quickly. It's just not combat-useful.

He would take the Punishment Sphere option. Or try and kill you with purple fire.

He's got Malfeas Charms, and if he's got a particular one he's very unlikely to ever go with submitting.

He would pick the punishment sphere, handle it (possibly using the time there to train up more soak charems and even the Malfeas PD), and grow the mother of all grudges against us and all we cherish (which, I should note, includes a "can definitely not survive a pissed-off Slayer" Nunally).
Don't do anything to make him decide he wants everything to burn, much better to try and play this off as a misunderstanding using our superior social skills (seriously give us a few days with this guy and he'd be our best buddy).

We have a chance for another combat powerhouse to join us here - given what's up against us, we should take it.

well he went hostile since he thought we were vampires. Once we convince him we're not he should be a bit more amicable.

My complex puzzle-based plan increases his mental attributes, which should help us explain what's going on, and gives us a leash with that mystically-enforced favor Kaguya gets.

He swore off consequences on the grounds that they're bad for his health. :)
*shrugs* Okay. :)

Actually, would he agree to the oath if we told him he wouldn't get his awesome parade through Hell? :p

We'd have to do it twice, as VEE only works on one Attribute/Ability/Background/etc. at a time.

he just has to express a desire to know what's going on. hell him simply asking any question might be enough. VEE is kinda terrifying like that.
