Green Sun, Black Shadows (CG/Exalted)

@Enjou
Can I suggest that, when we get more XP, we up our WP if we don't have anything more immediate like a charm purchase we need 'now?' If nothing else, the extra Essence would help.

Also, more Investigation would probably be a good idea, along with the specialty Reading People.

Or more disturbing than a teenager that is a chronic lier, has a hard-on for destroying a empire and making a new one in his image and induces madness by speaking.

Ok, added Life-Blighting Emptiness Attack and one dot each of Performance and Presence to the XP plan.

Absolutely. It'd also increase the power of LBEA.

parents, if you don't talk to your kids about exaltations the Yozi will. just say no to reclamation.

Parents: Don't do drugs, kids.
Yozis: We'll give you all the magical drugs you want, but if that's not your cup of tea we still have all the demon hookers you could want, a palatial townhouse in Hell to store your drugs and demon hookers, awesome magical artifacts, and oh yeah, this package comes with getting a power that will let you pave over the shitty reality you're living in and remake it to something more to your liking. And you can totally use that power to get your parents to stop telling you what to do if they keep nagging you.
Parents: ...uhm, stay in school?
Yozis: If you want. We don't care. Just go kill Lytek and burn Britannia to the ground.

@Alexander89
If we get an Investigation specialty to find out the secrets behind Lelouch's mother's death, when we find out about V.V. and the Order, do we get the XP back, or is it just a useless specialty?
I severly doubt its possible to get a Speciality in a specific case. Specialities are sub-fields of an Ability. A single case makes no sense for a Speciality. Better yet would be something like "Court Politics", which would be more broadly relevant and help with things other than a single, specific case.

convincing Gaia to assist reclamation would be kinda hard, since she is head over heels in love with luna. who the yozis probably intend to flay alive, and then continue to move on to more and more horrific tortures for as close to forever as they can manage. Bit of a conflict of interest.

Well, after Lulu stops trying for the Reclamation, he might be able to convince Gaia to open up her charmset to him... especially since, in this version, it won't open up the charmset to all other Infernals.

I don't lay long odds on that though, even using max out social skills and an Excellency.

The only way it might happen is if we get Luna in our corner. which might actually be vaguely possible. Luna was made to be crafty to the same extent Sol invictus was made to be vitreous. I vaguely recall reading that her greatest desire is for gaia to come back to creation, and our patreon is possibly the only thing that might be able to go fetch her. Granted if we try to play up that angle it's much more likely Luna will plays us like a sucker, or eats us, but cutting some kind of deal with her is technically possible.

Eh, don't think that's worthwhile.
Let's instead just leave things until we can properly stab her so she can't fuck with us, much less risk of her being able to out-trick us that way.

What about the idea for Investigation?
Considering one of his big things is finding his mother's killer, and the secrets behind her death, I'd think Investigation would be something to definitely invest it. Just one dot per finished scene would work.

Plus the reading people specialty would probably help with manipulating people. Effecting difficulties or bonuses to Presence or Performance rolls and such.

Not sure if this is still the case, but in 1st Ed you could get a Melee specialty in weapons you made yourself.

Getting a specialty in a specific case, especially since it's so important to you, is not beyond the realm of possibility I think.

yeah, trying to cut any sort of deal with lunaLuna is suicide. hell trying to cut a deal with the unconquered sun would be less dangerous, he's not the sort to talk you into suicide while technically not breaking the truce.

Frankly, we don't want Gaia charms for anything.

That said, the way to do it would be tricking Gaia into thinking that we are an Eclipse and convincing her to teach us a charm.

(That would work with the canon rules, i am not sure if it would work with this quest rules though)

By the time it would be possible for us to do this, we won't be helping the Yozi's version of the Reclamation, so she'd probably leave us alone, so why bother wanting to stab her?

Eh being able to go all "red in tooth and claw" would still be cool though.

I feel that we're getting a lot of xp from omakes and character gens, and I'm worried that we'll become over-leveled fairly quickly. I mean, we just got out of Malfeas and we've racked up a ton of xp.

We'll have some real problems keeping things sensible if we hit E5 in a month, is what I'm saying.

Alright, I tried to rework the Intimacies following the hack of Kerisgame:

5-dot
Nunnally (Familial? Love, Obsession)(Positive)
Suzaku (Friendship, Rivalry)(Positive)
Your mother's death (Trauma, Vengeance)(Negative)
Britannia (Hate, Contempt)(Negative)
Emperor Charles (Hate, Disgust, Fear)(Negative)

4-dot
Milly (Exasperated/Fond Friendship)(Positive)
Chess (Competitiveness)(Positive)

3-dot
Erembour (Massive Crush)(Positive)
Shirley (Suppressed Attraction)(Positive)
Sayoko (Respect, Part of the Family)(Positive)

2-dot
Rivalz (Friendship)(Positive)
Silk (Appreciation)(Positive)*
Kaguya (Useful Ally)(Positive)

1-dot
Nina (Fellow Council Member)(Positive)
C.C. (Wariness, Possible Pawn)(Positive)
Akito (Useful Pawn)(Positive)
Rakshata (Useful Pawn)(Positive)
Leila (Useful Pawn)(Positive)

*From UC
Intimacy System explanation:
  1. "Brief, fleeting urge or emotion"
  2. "Minor ongoing like, dislike or feeling"
  3. "Major ongoing desire, hatred or occupation"
  4. "True love, heroic motivation, lifelong nemesis"
  5. "The will to survive"

Intimacies defines a character's interests. To go against them is to deny yourself, forcing your priorities to shift. Actions which defy or violate an Intimacy rated 3+ force a degeneration roll with a dice pool of (Intimacy dots). If the roll is successful, the character must either act as the Intimacy in question demands (diverting his quest to aiding the suffering beggars in the street, punching the bigoted noble she was trying to impress, etc) or suppress it by paying a point of Willpower. Repeatedly suppressing an Intimacy may, at the ST's discretion, be grounds for lowering its rating.

1-dot Intimacies can be created by stunts or a good (or bad) social roll. By default, they only last a scene, but the player can hold onto them and develop them if further if he wishes. Non-magical social influence generally only deals in 1-dot Intimacy - things along the lines of "you are now sad, but you'll cheer up once you've left the bar unless your player says otherwise" or "you hate that guy in the corner, but you'll forget about him after a good night's sleep unless your player says otherwise or things escalate". Or alternatively "you were sad, now you're not because I told a good joke". Social influences can also try to force someone to act on one of their existing Intimacies, or reduce/increase other Intimacies' ratings.

Magic such as the Charms of the Exalted can install 2-dot Intimacies immediately, and at the higher end it can even create 3-dot Intimacies from nothing in minutes or hours. This, however, is the limit of what is possible to induce, even by magical means - one cannot so trivially make a person as determined to serve as they are to survive. Such warping - even of the minds of mortals - takes time and extended effort.
