Yeah, in hindsight it was pretty obvious that we weren't going to be faster than the magical girl with unlimited mana.I'm rather surprised that people didn't realize that someone who has already demonstrated superior magically enhanced reflexes would be someone that Shirou would not be able to snatch the wand away from like he was taking a toy from a clumsy child. Not that it's a mark against anyone since I saw that there were a lot of people that voted for both talking her down and taking it, which I assume maybe meant they wanted her to be distracted before an attempt was made.
Wait. So that... thing... made Ayako kill Shirou? At first I thought he just lost consciousness (her last words were 'Go to sleep'), so I was surprised when I saw the usual Bad End routine.Your consciousness ceased moments after that, and then, there was nothing.
Not all the bad ends in the original VN ended with Shirou dead, Mind of Steel is one notable one for the fact that it ended with him being the only one left aliveWait. I am still not sure what this implies about Ayako. For it to be the end, the fight has to be over. Either because Shirou lost the ability, the will, or the reason to fight. If he is held by Illya, he can't continue. If he failed utterly at saving anyone, there is no point. Not all the bad ends in the original VN ended with Shirou dead, Mind of Steel is one notable one for the fact that it ended with him being the only one left alive
In story? He went catatonic, lost the ability to think and feel, and Ayako then moved everyone basically out of this reality to where they weren't ever found.I am still not sure what this implies about Ayako. But which of these conditions was satisfied here? He has an army of allies. For the story to be over here of all places, they have to be either unable or unwilling to free him, or something decisive has to go down in the time he is out of it, and I have a hard time imagining either outcome.
