Black to White 6

You are a Knightmon, you are steel, you are a loyal warrior. You are darkness, you are hidden to reach, you plot to persevere. You are Electricity, savage and direct, you destroy through the easiest path. You are....

"My servant we deemed the honor... Will you study Frigimon's book with us?-Of course you will, he should be glad to help his master."

Isn't the first time in your existence as Gladimon that you wanted to put your hands on the neck of Lady Ardat and attempt regicide, your attempt at meditating over your newest understanding of the nature of elements and connections to High Programming, was working! 5 hours of continuous meditation to reach that state wasted!

No, you can enter again Verge. A path was found, and it can be traveled again.

"Lady Ardat, I assure you that my lowly capacity and knowledge over the matters wouldn't be-" Your denial sadly had the opossite effect.

*Clench*

"Thanks you! Thanks you!" Your helm was crushed but her happiness was too much, you hated Slide Down Evolution but for your Lady you will use the greatest lesson that Sir Scratch imparted to you.

Eat shit and accept the orders of superiors.

You like to think that she misses using the fur of a Drimogemon to put her head on and rest, you will skin alive a beast type Digimon in the future for the sake of not having to learn such an insulting technique but for now you will have to desciphrate this at her side as an eternal watcher to make sure that she doesn't try to burn it in a moment of frustration when she eventually fails to make progress.

"Great! We've studied the first pages already, but there's a lot more in Frigimon's manual. The secrets of her knowledge are still locked behind the barrier of time, effort and understanding! Come and let us see to it that the umm...-the secret to vertical slide evolution.-Yes that! We shall brave the dangers of this adventure and finds the treasure that lays at the end!"

At least she is motivated, but you convince her of doing this with Warren and Scourge.

If you have to suffer then those two will too. The training in focus will do them well, a difference of their rookie forms they could sitdown without jumping at your body.

=

*Cough*

A loud sound reverberates through the compartment, ripping away sleep and all the turmoil that comes with it. Your eye snaps open to zone in on cause, but instead of danger find Beat standing in front of the entrance, one curled set of fists in front of his face.

"Wha!-" The LadyDevimon on side back flinches awake, "Oh-oh Beat! We were just umm...-utilizing our servant.-What? No we-."

"Stop." Your subordinate takes a step forward, his eyes focused not on the former Witchmon, but rather on your own crimson orb.

His body is tense. Uncomfortable... loss... you knew how he feels.

"I will speak with Verge." The Stingmon continues. "Alone."

"The gall, do you think that we'd simply leave because-"

"Yes." You will aim to become close to him.

"Nihihi! Then little assassin you've thought-"

"Supper ends in five minutes." This power is something that you need.

"-right! We have to leave! The howling pit of destruction must be vanquished! Bye Verge!-We will be seeing you once more servant."

Part of you know that you ditzy lady will cause a disaster.

"Goodbye." Your voice was dry and tired, you aren't going to get any training done with her or without her.

"I..." he takes a deep breath, fists clenching hard enough for the spikes on his forearms to slide free. However, after a second, they retract and the Stingmon slowly shakes his head. "Verge. I don't know what to do now." Another breath. You can't help but understand his behavior, it was too similar to your Drimogemon self coming for the first time to the orphanage.

He was lost and without a path now that his goal was reached.

"You want to talk with me." It was good that he followed the hierarchy established.

"Yes." He admitted easily.

"I see." You nodded.

"..."

"..."

"What matter do you intend to discuss?" You forced him to take the first step, it was his problem.

"Our... alliance. We are comrades." Now it was over, his revenge has been completed.

"Indeed we still are." you nod, showing the short-spoken mon a grin. "Blitzmon has been defeated, his data shared between us." Sparks of electricity were beyond you but a modification of Flame Weapon Shroug to use a different element was possible now.

"What should I do now that my oath is completed?" It was a particularly difficult question.

You wanted to live, you wanted more power, you wanted a lot of digimon to live and that desire keeps you moving further. You couldn't be the Drimogemon that almost died but explaining it was difficult.

"I'm proof that many lived, Sir Scratch included." You decided to follow this approach. "I can't die and let them be forgotten, I can't allow the one that I made an oath to protect in his place to die, I can't allow Spark or my wards to die... I'm not allowed many things."

You can't die, a Knight can't be forgotten. You need prioritize your safety even reaching the deepest circle of hell.

"But I can become stronger and hold those oaths." You decided to continue, it was the only path for you get stronger for many goals. "That your oath was completed only means that the unspoken ones take priority now." The oath that he made to help you delete the Count still persists.

"I... have a lot to think." Good, remember who owns your ass Beat.

"Then join me, I still have to master the swordsmanship of a certain furry." Words don't needed to be exchanged anymore, you feel like making progress in turning the mentality of Beat into something useful.

Mastering the form of Wolfmon was difficult, the near sparring which results from a mutual practice is actually pretty enjoyable as you could test what worked and could be modified better. Though the Stingmon is not able to stay the full four hours required for a true session, and makes it clear that he has other matters to attend to it was clear that this resulted into a more effective form of discover the kinks that you couldn't find alone.

"Beat." Your hands were on his elbows.

"Yes?" He seemed a bit unfased.

"Would you consent to make this a daily ritual?" It was an order your shining bright eye could see the results.

"I would." you give the champion one final nod, a gesture he returns before exiting the car.

Your fair lady allowed this to continue, and you could admit that this time traveling has resulted in successful training sessions, High Programing truly was turning out to be enjoyable to test and even if your wards progress alongside Lady Ardat was slower than yours... it was just proof that the wisdom gained in your experiments grafted a foundation for this.

But this raised an important issue.

You can't call the spell that you used to deceive Wolfmon 'Frame Reinforce', the modifications made the enhancement of defensive aspects become more like a paper Greymon instead of your original idea and plans to abandon more of the substance for the sake of appearance of bulking body. It wasn't truly the same spell that you learned from the Mystimon that you learned from, the Trickster Frame - as you decided to call it- was a whole different branch that you discovered accidentally.

Now if you could focus on those aspects and separate them from Frame Reinforcement the cast would turn easier and last more to allow you to get the first hit by striking your opponent in the unprotected stomach.

Your form changed and your body turned unbalanced... You returned immediately to Gladimon. Your lady and wards clapped at your almost successful attempt but you only feel disgusted at yourself. It wasn't a failure, you just broke it at a middle point to fail at purpose once the previous mindset began to bleed into your mind.

"Yes, yes, yes! We've got it!" Ardat shouts in triumph, leaping off your bed with one arm held high in victory. "Watch this Verge!-Yes servant this will be spectacular!-We'll become a Witchmon again! Then it'll all be back and we'll be so cool!" The LadyDevimon drops her manual to the padded floor, spins around once in place and flashes you a breathtaking smile.

"Congratulations, my lady I knew you'd be able to learn it quickly." Your failures at least served for something like teaching her what she shouldn't do.

"Why of course we did! We're going to be this world's leading lady! Master of all and the fairest of all lands! AHa!!"

The giggle sends a rush down your armor, the cold odd sense of wrong was impacting.

"Now watch as we attain mastery over our body!" The wommon's sparkling lavender eyes close, her clawed hand clenches tightly and Ardat's chest swells with an intake of breath.

Seconds pass with the compartments jostling being only sound being heard.

And then, her body begins to glow white. Your eye widens in wonder as her entire body begins to shine, transitioning into the malleable form of data-a blinding flash of purple pours out from her core searing your gaze with solid pain. Something that your wards shared as the three of you held your heads in pain for an instant.

Erk, that! What is that?!

"Wh-what?" Your eye flashes open up in curiosity, then widen in surprise. Standing in front of you is...

A LadyDevimon garbed in crimson clothing. It was a failure, did she despise her previous self too? No! She adored High Programming, she breath it and took it like flower needed water to truly florish.

"That was-we weren't ready! Let's try again!-We won't let simple failure deter us." It was bravado, she failed.

Again and again, she only managed to fail. You began to chant numbers and use the original version of a particular spell.

"It doesn't work. Why? Why can't we..."

You stay silent for a moment and let the end spell enhance your durability, a hand on her shoulder a firm squeeze that she feel, and a nod you allow her to hug your armor her strength once again made you feel like she was going to crush you into past as your insides break.

But your lady was still in pain.

"It was too weak, I will search for another method if it is necessary." You gave your opinion her previous form can't handle her might. "My Lady, I'm your Knightmon if you decided to be a champion I will make it happen, and if you decided to relearn the embrace of magic I will be there digit by digit."

"We are here for you, Scourge and I will also support you two." Warren promised while Scourge gave a few positive hisses.

"Experiences, forms, and feelings will vary but our oaths persist." You didn't cared about her shape since your evolution, the only thing that you care was to make sure that the promise to Sir Scratch persisted.

Your demonic companion sniffs once, rubbing her face against your cracked armor to wipe away the tears and very clearly calms herself down. She pulls away, cutting off the embrace and you let her go.

"You have our thanks servants.-It really means a lot and... we're sorry for always doing this. We'll try to be-we shall act more regal as our destiny demands-Mhm." She pauses to look at you and your wards, lavender eyes flashing with sudden intent. "And if we can't slide digivolve, then we have to to dour best to make sure you can!-you're our trusted servant after all and- important to us like... almost like Scratch." Her head bobs down for a second at the reminder of her mentor, before shaking in resolution.

You allowed yourself to smile, Sir Scratch gave his life to you just like Agunimon and many others. If you could truly own your oath like this it means that your path of Knighthood truly will be filled with difficulties with this troublesome lady.

"My thanks, I know the subject must hurt but you're choosing to trust my words and counsel." You bow your head to the LadyDevimon in gratitude but you wouldn't have it in another different way. "I too hold you in high regard, I will not allow laziness from you." Sir Scratch was a firm teacher.

"AHaHa!-Good! Then let us not suffer any further delays servant. we shall make sure you understand our superior teaching skills!" Her gold claw flashes, scooping up Frigimon's manual once more. "Now come! Let us battle this foe of ignorance together!"

The next day, you finally managed to find time to spend with your most trustworthy comrade, words were exchanged and sadly your lady has truly consumed much of the time that you had with him. Normally this would mean that you had to organize better your time but it seems that he was more interested in the progress of the mutual revenge, you didn't believe that was there a better method to give more strength to your mutual friendship than plotting over the future deletion of our enemies.

Inspiration matched and our wits meshed together as multiple plans were exchanged, the newest use of your affinity towards Light and modification to Holy Light Strike was brought to your attention just like Trickster Frame it could be possible to create the basis of a new spell.

But the fact was that they need to work into obtaining a better teamwork on mix their talents and specialities if you two wanted to get revenge, the count had a long time as Ultimate and that time was used to become stronger, alone it would take an eternity but together was possible to press the advantage and discover new was to defeat newest and stronger enemies... enemies that will be the same tier as the Count and Repulsa.

But at the end of the travel, you had tsk in disgust as Pit... Pid dislike of your lady. But was still impossible to show your displeasure, he was necessary as some of the advanced versions of the Holy and Healing spells had their core in the religion of the Host.

But what could you do, if it will make you stronger then learn from this and then twist it for your lady to use will make the headaches of dealing with the Pidmon worth it.

Such is the sacrifices that a Knightmon must do.

Finished the train arc! 2.4K now I can sleep! All to Fortitude to keep the train going. 80K will be reached before the loading of Megas and fight with Angemon.

Opposite.

Did you mean decipher?
"Then join me, I still have to master the swordsmanship of a certain furry."
Wolfmon doesn't even have fur as he's basically a guy wearing armor and wolf helmet, so I don't think this term applies.
High Programing truly was turning out to be enjoyable to test and even if your wards progress alongside Lady Ardat was slower than yours
Programming.

Womon.

Remove the extra to, and change dour to do our.

Hmm honestly wasn't as cringe as some of the romance stuff so far , thresh had some great character building and it makes sense as a knight he would want to court someone he cares about officially .

Like he's literally gallantmon the gallant knight , and most of his dialog besides the weird snog thing was perfectly ok , verge and leapordmons reactions were a bit much tbh but I understand you were going for a funny chapter overall .

It's not really any less cringe than verges whole roleplay stuff with ardat " my lady, my knight" or like any other relationship in story
Oh good, thanks. Those bits are intentionally Chuuni hecause well, NotMegumin.

Weird snog thing was meant to be part of Thresh being well, blunter than Sparks. Also drawing upon a bit of british data because Gallentmon.

although, I wonder if I should've gone for german instead…

German makes more sense for a mon like Hexblaumon or MedievalGalantmon imo. But I won't say no to more German to see if I recognize any of the words lmao.

"Ah, sweet Dame. My magnificent guiding light to knighthood. " He reappears in the stands, kneeling with his hands clasped around Fonte's own; Malkimon's barrier shattering in his wake as a mere afterthought. "It was you who taught me I could be a knight rather than a monster. Please, oh beautiful sharpener of my very soul, oh best headpatter of all time. Wouldst thou grant me the esteemed honor of courting thy hand?"

… come again?

"What?!" Leopardmon roars from the stands, finally rising up from his cushion in a mixture of anger and shock.

"The Duke… was not ready for today." MetalEtemon groans from beside you, his normal demeanor completely wrecked by your brother's words and actions.

"I do not believe anymon here could be ready for this." You sigh in agreement. This evolution's effects on your brother are… quite concerning indeed.

Did… did I strike Thresh in the head too many times? Spirits below, Is this my fault?

Fonte stutters something unintelligible in response, caught completely off guard by the sudden confession. Drop however lets out a croak of outrage and tries (in vain) to wrench your brother's comparatively giant hands off her bodyguard. With predictably pathetic and… unsuccessful results.

Hold…

Your gaze snaps over to Sparks, whose metal hand is currently straining against his hooded face. Which is probably going to form a nasty bruise later on given how hard his arm is shaking.

I'm not sure how… but this is absolutely his fault.

"A-absolutely not!" Drop stops her pointless struggle and instead glares at your brother. "Fonte's my best frien-best bodyguard! I'm not gonna give her up to anymon!" She finishes with a defiant sniffle, causing you to cringe preemptively.

Please… Great Tree please don't let her start wailing.

"We-well, ahem thine words are most gallant and flattering but…" Fonte murmur trails off, as she looks between your brother and her employer.

"I must apologize oh great goddess of water. As my love's fair and talented liege, I should've asked thine permission first." Thresh responds understandingly, causing the pouting Ranamon to… blush? "Oh beautiful and generous Goddess, evolution has brought me clarity, sweet Dame means more to me than any friend." You start forward, hands clenched into fists.

No. That's it. I'm halting this whatever it is now-would he even be able to feel one of your punches now Verge?

… no. He, he would not.

"It's not like how I love big sis Luna either." Thresh continues to your immense pain. "Believe me, I've never wanted to snog her."

Snog, what does that even-no. It cannot mean anything good.

"Stop. Stop this now!" You roar out, dashing towards them… only to crash into the reconstituted barrier and be ignored.

"But I'd do that to Fonte. Right now if she's okay with it." At this point literal steam is starting to waft off the Dame's helmet.

I'm going to beat him senseless.

Sparks or Thresh?

Yes!

"I-I shalt think on thine o-offer." Fonte finally answers, which the Gallantmon seems to take as acceptance. He immediately lets go and throws you a smirk from behind his visor.

"Did you hear that brother? I'm going to engage in a proper relationship before yo-"

*Clang*

Leopardmon's paw smacks into the back of your sibling's helmet before he can finish speaking, mercifully cutting off… whatever he was about to say.

"Enough of this ridiculous lunacy!" The older Mega growls reproachfully. "Grand arbre, you've embarrassed Bulwark enough for one day Chevalier." The stands erupt into laughter at that, though there's a not insignificant portion that starts protesting the interruption.

I was incorrect. This evolution made my brother less intelligent. That's the only explanation for… this.

You pause, a sinking feeling rising in your core. What should have been your glorious victory has been irrevocably tainted now. Thresh's… shenanigans and display here having forever overruled your victory over him.

Is… is this how CB felt?

Letting out a sigh, you turn away from the commotion and start walking towards the eastern exit. Whatever happens next no longer holds your interest, and you have no desire to deal with Thresh's shenanigans.

I'll just… go and train. Mayhaps composing a few Haiku are in order? Yes, that would help take your mind off things Verge.
Thresh. THRESH NO.

GODAMMIT SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARKS!

Ah, that was... both deeply amusing and utterly adorable. I hope things work out for those two... even if Thresh is taking the fact he asked his girl out first as an opportunity to be a little shit again, even as a Mega.

Also apparently he's part British now, that's a thing. He has a point though - we'll have to wait for our next rematch, alas.

Ah yes, when your brother who fell in with a bad crowd at a young age grows up and becomes a literal knight in shining armor… this really is a Trashy romance novel world with a barcode as a trenchcoat, Verge just lives in it:V

Edit: Btw do we know what Lunas stats are? Blueboy stated that repulsa was faster than her not so long ago… so either Luna is pulling a count and just collects powerful minions as if they were minis or she is pulling a fast one and somehow hides her true strength. Or the worst possible outcome… she really became a politician!

She just hasn't had as much time to train and has a more balanced spread of numbers.

Another 12 stat points, all to fort right? BTW, it's hit the 2nd soft cap. Just from a pure maths standpoint trying to hit the 3rd Soft cap through Omakes is pretty much impossible. I don't want to get your hopes up.
I mean, if I focus on one stat like Agility I would need 30500 words to reach 60.000 as was my other goal and surpass Thresh Base stat in Fortitude would take 54800. Hmmm for my preference in rounded numbers 6 stats to STR for 86K with the rest saved for the moment.

Getting to truly stretch your legs after a long travel on the train allowed you to check your newly found infamy, the station outside of Alt City truly was different from the small town that you lived and the place that you were born into, your mind showed you flashes of Wolfmon form of moving a second so you attempted to imitate it to allow a more light footing, it was a work in progress the integration of his skills into yours. With a few voices of digimon present... not calling your blood.

"Is he the one who deleted Wolfmon and Blitzmon?"

"It must be, it looks like malformed Knightmon. And that glare he would delete us."

There wasn't much glory, the fact was that you as Knightmon beating two Champions was more like an act of a Gloaming Officer than of a member of the Host but Beat also shared a bit of it, being called assassin and something else but it didn't matter. In truth, Beat was more... lets say honorable than you and used tactics more similar to duellers than your style of breaking your opponent.

The reaction to your lady was taking the breath away from others and your wards at her side following her as bodyguards also made your pride soar as truly this was an excellent way to begin the day.

Naturally, the crowd's reaction fades away as Throne HolyAngemon exits behind her and barks an order:

"Get back to work! The Lord does not tolerate idle hands and neither do I!" That seems enough to snap them out of it and a moment later, the party is able to assemble unmolested. "Sergeants Pit and Verge, Bellator Stingmon, Initiates Wizardmon and LadyDevimon. Follow. We move to enter Alt City."

"Yes sir!" Pid replies snapping off a salute. "Come fellow warriors! Let us finally enter the most holy city on this world!"

"Hn." Beat was unfaced.

"Tch, holy? 'tis nothing special." Sparks you need to work in your senses.

This city was breathtaking, the connection that you feel to the Light truly made you feel the aura that the Blessed Host's home gifted others, the data was just Holy, and the walls alongside this architecture tell a tale that you couldn't help but want to understand and decipher their hidden secrets for as big as this Light was a bigger shadow should follow.

The thrumming power of this land made you feel that you were walking in Twilight with your Lady. The walls didn't truly let you feel completely the might inside these walls.

Throne HolyAngemon brusquely floats towards a pair of barely visible doors (ones large enough for even you to fit through with ease) and places his left-hand flat in the center of the crack. A moment later, the entire thing begins to open.

Hight Programming or Technology that surpass Mecanorimons, would be interest to check them later.

However, after fully extending, you're not with a hall directly into the town, but rather a dull metal barrier just several feet inside.

"*Ahem*" The holy Ultimate coughs. "For security reasons, all entering Alt City must be scanned." He explains, pointing his blade towards what you now guess to be the entrance of a massive scanner. "Line up. Sargent Verge is first."

Son of Daemon WHORE! This was the trap.

"Uh, sir?' Pid questions with an upraised hand. "Why not just scan us all at once?"

"Heh, 'twould be much faster"

"Because it's my order." The officer half growls before taking a short, annoyed breath. "Sergeant Pit, that is normally the case. But the wide range of species and mutations of certain members may overtax the scanner if entering all at once." Even as he speaks, the metal barrier lifts up, revealing a dark room seemingly made up entirely of the odd panels you'd seen at the gym and Frigimon's orphanage. "I will be entering the control room to gather any results, the speakers up top will announce who's next."

Your mind began to conjure ways to avoid this scan but everything that you thought about resulted in absolutely nothing, you were caught and the lie will be exposed. Punishment will come, a black mark on your record, the tale will be tarnished before it truly began and your status will be teared alongside the reputation.

You grid your teeth so hard that you feel data escaping from them, the frustration and anger condensed in your digicore.

You nod once and pad forwards, the red of your eyes flashing while entering the gigantic scanner.

Like a member of the Gloaming waiting for an execution to begin you hold your head up at the digimon that outplayed you with the ignorance and lack of knowledge in your position, well done Holy Angemon. You accepted this defeat and will make sure to make the best of it.

"Hold still and relax." An authoritative, female voice announces from the four corners of the room. You whirl about, looking for the source, but it's just more of those odd boxes. "Sargent. Follow my orders. You will hold still."

"I will." You replied discipline and control over your body made sure of it.

"Good. It will take another twelve seconds for me to calibrate the equipment for your mass and another for me to recite the trigger spell." With that the noise cuts abruptly off.

Trigger spell? This isn't purely mechanical in nature? Could you use it?

Exactly twenty-four seconds later, the room is brought to illumination by dull red light as every panel begins it's work. You can quite literally feel your body being assaulted by the powerful waves of whatever the scanner is emitting, but bear through it.

"I've never seen this kind of mutation at work." The voice booms out once more. "Your mass is condensed with elemental force, it should handle the different conflicting natures higher than that of the strangest any Gladimon or Knightmon in our databanks, it can't be one of those species. Normally the body can't adapt to all that extra growth in Spirit, Darkness and Light elements are run parallel without interference... there are others... so what is and... HolyAngemon there's!-"

"Ignore it." Your superior's voice cuts in. "The s-data you're looking at there is a side effect of something else Imperius Taomon. Not a security risk."

That information... needs to be searched later, your trick hasn't been discovered at the moment.

"Yes sir! Nothing to be concerned about Sargent-what in Kami's name?" She paused as she began to see something additional. "This can't be right… I'm reading traces of the integration of Dramon data. How in Kami's name... nothing of his data makes sense..."

Agunimon?

"Oh by the Lord there's more! What is wrong with your attribute?! This… it can't be real! My readings must be off! They have to be no digimon could possible be built this way!" If you had a lesser control over yourself then laugher would have come outside your mouth.

Your data, your experiments, your lady, or even the digimon that you had loaded that you had a keep a greater amount than expected. It was so fun that your trick was ignored for the nature of your existence being build too different from others.

"It is correct!" You told the Taomon, hoping that there wasn't a trace of smugness in your voice. "My foundation is constructed from Virus and Vaccine both."

"You can't! Your body should be ripping itself apart not-"

The flustered digimon's voice is cut off as a blaring noise ruptures out from the speakers.

"You… you possess data from beyond the gates!" An actual note of fear enters the digimon voice followed by the sound of something being slammed. "It's an abomination! Delete it! Take it out now!" Which is when the chamber's sides open up to reveal several dozen strange tubes. Similar to the weapons of a Commandramon or Tankmon, which means they're loaded with projectiles of some sort.

You took your blade outside the scabbards, you will not die today, and your wrath born from betrayal sank deeper--

Your rage began to stir your Digicore. The eyes of a dragon opened at the world for the first time.

[D***o* ******]

"Taomon I order you to stand down, now!" HolyAngemon barks and is followed shortly by the faint *Shiiing* sound of his sword leaving it's scabbard.

"We can't sir! He-that thing can't be allowed to leave!" The magical(?) mon protests, half-panicking.

...You will not lower the power, your eyes glared further. A lot of the heat was lost in a moment, pain was exploding as your insides ran too hot.

You rear up, trying to hold a scream of pain retreating and putting your back to a corner where the fewest number of weapons will be able to find a target and blades they were getting heavier. The incantation for frame reinforce hot on your lips.

I cannot cover the entirety of my form or avoid the onslaught completely like this. Prioritize Verge, Head and Core, those must be protected then legs and finally arms.

"HolyAngemon Sir, the regulations and holy instructions are clear! We can't allow that thing to escape! If we don't act now Alt City could face destruction again!"

"Sargent, Verge. Is my subordinate Imperius Taomon." The angel snaps, intentionally stressing the other mon's ranking. "He has proved himself a valuable member of our army and I will not let his end come here because of fear mongering. Now shut the defenses off, or I will take matters into my own hands."

Throne HolyAngemon is... really helping. Damn it, you will have a debt with him now.

"Y-you wouldn't." Bitch, attempt to delete you or not if you get a chance her data is yours.

"I don't make idle threats." Be careful, otherwise, you will end up taking a liking to the owner of Pid.

"I..." the subordinate digimon trails off, leaving you with hope that she'll follow your commanding officer's orders. Something that ends up being short lived. "Unknown spell detected! The abomination is trying something! Activating-" The officer's yell is cut off as the whistling sound of a swung blade echoes over the speakers. "-Aaah!" Your ears are assaulted by a piercing yowl of agony, which is most assuredly from the supervisor.

Spirits below! He actually attacked her!.. Focus Verge. She must have been trying to fully activate the defenses.

"My-my arm. You-"

"The next. Takes your head. I'll say this one final time. Shut. It. Down."

Three seconds pass, punctuated only by the blaring and light whimpering; then the ranged weaponry retracts back, letting the covering panels slide back to cover the holes. Lastly, the door leading deeper inwards opens up, revealing a pair of nervously twitching Angemon.

"Sargent Verge." Your superiors voice comes through the speaker once more. "Continue into Alt City."

You couldn't help after that, the pain and exhaustion caught you just laughed a bit as the spell of healing barely put your insides out of healing.

"Thank you for helping sir, I will remember this." You don't know when or how but you will need to leave someday.

It was clear that you were incompatible with a larger part of the Host than what you initially believed and will need a way to take your lady away by any means necessary in the future.

You patiently waited for more of your squad to try to cast your healing spell but your reserves were so utterly spent that you couldn't manage to activate it.

What was that? You just saw red for a second and when it was interrupted your body almost experienced immolation.

Your lady came, then your wards, then Sparks and Beat, ending with Pid who had a look of discontent. You moved your head for an unspoken question and if he wants to talk about it he will.

"Ah, comrade Verge! When scanning me they found some... despicable data." He half-snarls before trailing off into a sad sigh. "When... I nearly fell. After Angemon's death. My anger, the darkness it stained my holy body."

I see. From when he nearly underwent dark evolution. His path will be forever darkened by that shadow.

"Mine lord 'tis not a matter to overly concern thineself. You shalt overcome this and fulfill your ambition of that I am sure."

"Indeed Pit, if you accept defeat like that then your path for Mega will be forgotten. I will not accept such thing from you before your worth truly shines." Translation: If I could move after escaping execution then you don't have an excuse. "In fact, I may ask you for your time to practice this light of the Lord, so you will not have time to dwell on your past failures"

"Hyuk, hyuk. As you say cherished comrades! I shall not let this hinder my destiny!"

Good. The path to Mega belongs only to those that are unbroken when the weight of their ambition hits them

But the worst came with the news that your lady, she was being escorted to the central bastion. There is further psychological testing that needs to be completed and that means that she would be taken prisoner in the core of the power of the Host. You feel powerless not even your injuries stopped you from trying to reach to her.

"Don't worry my lady, this is but a temporal misunderstanding." You lied to calm her, you knew better than anyone how unstable she was and how badly she would take a defeat of this magnitude.

Right now, you needed time, cloud and allies to convince them to leave her under your supervision or find a way to rescue her but for the moment you needed to use a distraction in your squad.

So you coughed a bit in your helm.

"Throne HolyAngemon, what happened in the scanning room? Why did Taomon attempt to activate the defenses? Why did she mean by *Beyond the gates?"

"She did what?!"

"You were nearly attacked friend Verge?"

"That-that foolish creature. Attempting to delete our servant. We should-"

"My lord are you alright?" Followed by an angry hiss from his brother.

"Enough." your superior officer barks. "That information is classified. I can not let you know more than you've already heard"

Reactions that you wanted, this timing needed to get Lady Ardat to focus herself on another digimon rather than her own situation, but some pesky angel sadly interrupted you before you managed to make her give a through on spiting Taomon and cruel mercy by proving yourself through your actions.

Couldn't this day get worse?

2.4K Yeah, this time Verge is way more in tune with Dynasmon/DarkKnightmon so I rolled a dice to see how weird he turned with the hidden bugs in his body and boy barely read data and if he could trigger his Yggy bullshit and how much it fucked him up. So yeah, somehow he keep the lie by being too fucked up in so many different aspects.

your mind showed you flashes of Wolfmon form of moving a second so you attempted to imitate it to allow a more light footing,
Add a 's to Wolfmon.
It must be, it looks like malformed Knightmon. And that glare he would delete us."
Add an a between like and malformed.
Hight Programming or Technology that surpass Mecanorimons, would be interest to check them later.
High, Mechanorimon, change into interesting.
However, after fully extending, you're not with a hall directly into the town, but rather a dull metal barrier just several feet inside.
I think you're missing a met between not and with.
Punishment will come, a black mark on your record, the tale will be tarnished before it truly began and your status will be teared alongside the reputation.
Either add an up after teared or change it into torn.
You grid your teeth so hard that you feel data escaping from them, the frustration and anger condensed in your digicore.
Grit.
it should handle the different conflicting natures higher than that of the strangest any Gladimon or Knightmon in our databanks, it can't be one of those species.
Change it into "than that of any of the strangest".
Normally the body can't adapt to all that extra growth in Spirit, Darkness and Light elements are run parallel without interference...
Add an and between elements and are, as well changing run into running.
It was so fun that your trick was ignored for the nature of your existence being build too different from others.
Built.
Right now, you needed time, cloud and allies to convince them to leave her under your supervision or find a way to rescue her but for the moment you needed to use a distraction in your squad.
Clout.
