Functionally.
"Oblivion!" Rei cuts the name of the attack short to fire it off faster, a mad attempt to stem the destruction heading right at them. Light meets Light, and the world almost shits itself. Everything shatters, and the helicopter is almost knocked out of the sky instantly.
Is this just a figure of speech, or did Gaia have a genuine "Oh shit!" moment?
Well, that attack is large enough scale to actually target Gaia, and it's damage just a hair less than Gaia's Resilience stat, so it's probably more a freak out that something almost did damage to her.
Could some of you tell me your reasoning of why you've been voting for other options this time?
Red underline added for emphasis.Possibly yes. Collateral Damage is a thing in this quest, though Starshine doesn't have as big a chance as other weapons or spells. Had you guys not had that rock-throwing event with Goddess Gold it would have been very likely that you would have brought the Mausoleum down without warning to anybody in one use. Now, while the possibility is there, it' not likely to happen unless your actually aiming for the building.
Besides the reasons Uber has mentioned above, there's also Gehaburn which may be messing with Rei.Could some of you tell me your reasoning of why you've been voting for other options this time? Note: Any reasons pertaining to time are thrown out since it's a non-answer in this case.
...just had 'wtf' moment. I've read the name as "Samael Belial" :lol
Training has a lot of Narrative impact during fights.[] Training
I voted for it because we just got a bunch of upgrades which Nepgear needs to familiarize herself with. In fact the reasoning behind getting those upgrades then rather then before our next mission was so Nepgear would have a chance to practice them.
Furthermore we know from our previous fight that even if there isn't any mechanical representation for it actually practicing with Nepgear's skills makes her better at them. My source for this is Starshine and how it went from almost certainly bringing down the Mausoleum on our heads to having a low risk of doing so thanks to the practice we got using it with Rei:

[] Annoy Rei
We know from the brief interlude we got with her that Rei dreamed about what happened in FATAL GEAR and it freaked her the hell out. Understandable since she seems to have adopted Nepgear as her sorta-little sister.
Given how much Rei's done to help Nepgear with her various emotional trouble returning the favor is the least we can do for her.
Hey, wait a second. How can zombies knock us down if we're immune to their attacks? Receiving kinetic energy from a hostile being is literally and conceptually the same thing as taking damage, so we shouldn't even be jostled unless it bypasses our Adamantium Core.Training has a lot of Narrative impact during fights.
Buying something then forgetting about it means Nepgear won't initially take it into account during coming fights.
As far as she's aware she's still little more than wet tissue paper when it comes to defense: she's unaware of all the changes in her repertoire.
There's two possible exanations.Hey, wait a second. How can zombies knock us down if we're immune to their attacks? Receiving kinetic energy from a hostile being is literally and conceptually the same thing as taking damage, so we shouldn't even be jostled unless it bypasses our Adamantium Core.
I'll go with the first, because the second is still an attack, even if it doesn't scratch her. There's two possible exanations.
One is that you can still fall on your ass in fear or, if you're better trained, to reduce the impact you think you'll receive. Nepgear doesn't know she can now look upon the attacks of the common rabble with the contempt they deserve, so she still reacts as if they should hurt her.
The other one is that an infinitely resilient piece of armor can still be tossed around if the kinetic energy is enough to move it, so while the attacks don't hurt her, they still push her back.
Not really?I'll go with the first, because the second is still an attack, even if it doesn't scratch her.
When it comes to player priorities, spending personal time with Michael and James have been taking a backseat [i.e. ignored] in regards to the other characters. Been like that since New York. Yet, time has been spent with Sam and look at how he's been helped.

But the barrier isn't touching us! Therefore it shouldn't transfer energy! Not really?
Armoured Core provides a barrier, it's not straight-up nullification. Just because your body armour tanks the blow, doesn't mean you haven't been hit.
And by barrier, I mean literal barrier, we've seen it in action.
It's literally magic. It doesn't have to explain shit. It just works. But the barrier isn't touching us! Therefore it shouldn't transfer energy!
