Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Gaia freaking loves humans. Even though we're fucking up the environment we're not directly damaging her, just everything that lives on her. So long as we don't do something stupid and kill our selves off like idiots, she's happy to leave us be. And honestly? She's been enjoying modern human entertainment.

As in, she's an avid Spacebattler, plays Warhammer 40k, and a lot of other stuff of similar bent as well.

The problem with that though is a number of shows she saw where Humans somehow get turned into some kind of ultimate being gave her ideas. Good or bad is up to debate.

So how did Humanity take learning that they are essentially her weapons against any and all foreign invaders?

@crystalwatcher, So... I'm going to try and guess why she's neutral: Is it because she doesn't really care about which side wins, as long as her favorite things survive?

Also, if a country were to just set aside a day to literally do some earth hugging, would her reaction involve more laughing or dawwing?
So long as Humanity survives, her continued existence is certain, and her plans are on track she could care less about the war. She finds it more amusing then anything.

And Dawwing. Definitely Dawwwing.

So how did Humanity take learning that they are essentially her weapons against any and all foreign invaders?
Led to a lot of therapy sessions and a ton of research into Celestial Entities that's still on going.

Would be great if it made humans care more for Nature and environment.
It did. Not as much as one would think, but it did. The Environmentalist groups gained a bit of steam until Gaia revealed she could care less about the environment on her surface. It doesn't effect her in any significant way directly.

Yeah. That must have been shocking. All proponents of peace and understanding across people and then you find out the purpose of your entire species was to kill and wage war against others.

Why are the other factions afraid of Gaia?
Gaia's two weapons are completely Autonomous existences that can operate completely outside her influence on other planets.

She is also fully capable of possessing any living creature on her surface and boosting it to a point that it could pose a significant threat to high-level combatants. And more than one if necessary and the required numbers are available. As well as what happened last time someone tried to directly invade: the Akashic Pillar shoved a nuke up their asses.

On the other hand, who doesn't mind looking pretty?
Human construction has slowly been turning more aesthetically pleasing. So yeah.

uhh...would the moon count as part of gaia if humans landed on it and colonized it or would that lead to a new deity?

Depends on how the Humans that Colonize the moon would view it: either as a part of Gaia herself or as a totally separate entity. As it is, it would lean more towards spawning a totally separate entity.

Hope was growing it's own Genius Loci thanks to the colonists but then the Unified Darkness happened.

Judging from context, I'm assuming you mean 'couldn't' care less (I hate this particular typo)? Also, how put out were all the environmental groups upon learning that little tidbit? I can imagine some pretty hefty salt crystals forming... Maybe even literally.

How I read this bit:
Gaia's two weapons are completely Autonomous existences that can operate completely outside her influence on other planets.
You can't run.
She is also fully capable of possessing any living creature on her surface and boosting it to a point that it could pose a significant threat to high-level combatants.
You can't hide.

And not only is her weapon fighting you without her having to expend an ounce of willpower, it's not even pulling out all the stops yet.

Her kawaii little sister, who holds in her heart a special place for magical girls and the overly dramatic (IN THE NAME OF THE MOOOOOOOOOOON!). :V

Well, since the entity that would be spawned from the Moon would only come about because Humanity colonized it, the Moon Entity would actually be either Gaia's daughter, if humanity is considered a part of her, or her Granddaughter, if humans are considered to be her children.

Crackpot theory: Divinity affinity MGs are Gaia's way of making a new Goddess to punch in Cosmos' teeth for stirring up all this shit :V
I actually think it's the opposite and Divine affinity magical girls are a result of a bug in her system and aren't under Gaia's control anymore since they aren't human and can thus punch her teeth in. Also Cosmos doesn't have anything to do with the war at all.

I wonder what needs to happen to push Gaia to go against the United Dark. Because I just want to see what happens when Humanity begins to be truly wielded as a weapon.
Like now, but no civilians at all. Everybody is trained to fight, everybody is armed, everybody is on the same side, and everybody works with everybody. Personal opinions are tossed aside like the novelties they are, morality is laid aside whenever it conflicts with efficiency, and everybody knows everything everybody else in the world is doing, because Gaia explicitly already records that stuff.

Think Humanity if it suddenly became a hive mind, the kind that Great Old Ones don't try to telepathically link to because it'll drive them insane, devoted solely to the task of murdering the Unified Darkness's everything.

*cough*

... I'm going to leave this here...

Also, I did the edits for the last segment.

Having a hard time trying to decide when to put in the next expedition out. And when to put in the run-in with Gaia's plot.

What do you guy think?

As terrifying as that would be, although San is probably less likely to try and kill us, it would also be amazing. Just imagine what people, hell even Nepgear, would think if she, and Team GEAR, met all 4 Goddesses in her first two weeks as a Magical Girl.

it is also really fucking obvious that we survived all 4 of those meetings, clearly we need to be killed before we get any stronger...

Well we've already met Gray and Red, time to go four for four?

I'm debating to wait until either before or after Team GEAR gets their powered armors for the segment I have planned for her.

But that's another three days away.
