Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

[X] Plan Don't Mess With Divinity
-[X] Get some distance between yourself and the barrier, then taunt White Soul into using Soul Rend against you
-[X] The moment she does, charge at her and call out [PEACE] in the Conceptual Language from as close as possible to stop her from reacting, then hit her with the Panzer Blade as often as possible
-[X] If she is out of your direct range in that moment or gets away from you, cast Celestial Severance or Starshine, whichever is more likely to hit her
I think this plan has a pretty major flaw. Panzer Blade only deals 12,921+1d400 damage while thanks to The 'Kind' Monster White Soul can take 19,998 damage before dying. Normally this would be covered by the "as often as possible" bit except Walk With Me means Nepgear will be losing 3,295 health with each hit which I expect to interfere with follow up cuts.

I'll see about working on a plan of my own tomorrow since I'm a bit busy right now.

Revel In Darkness doesn't operate as a DOT effect. It's a straight blow that triggers at the start of each turn, instead of being a "this much damage over this period of time" ability. For example, Core Purge would be a DOT effect.
Then please change the wording to make that clear, because right now I'm not the only one thinking that our Divinity-level BS should be trumping her Legend-level BS.

Instead of "Affinities of a positive alignment take 25% of their current health in damage per turn.", maybe something like this:

"Before each set of combat actions, affinities of positive alignment take 25% of their current health in damage."
Make the very wording of the skill dependent on something other than time.

The 'Kind' Monster
-White Soul's allies and enemies do not die unless they are reduced to a negative amount of Health equal to twice their Maximum Health.
Not her.

Looking forward to it.

OK, more of another courtyard, but I'm not changing the size.
Alright. So presumably no roof (you'd need either support pillars or a curved roof for something that big—think parking garages or a very big train station), and in order for there to be any overhanging plant life it would need to be either trees inside the courtyard or really big trees outside it—most trees spread less than ten meters. How high are the walls, anyway? And the barriers—are they planar or what?

Actually, the (hypothetical) trees bring up a couple more questions: where in the world is the necropolis, anyway? And what season is it?

You aren't taking Nepgear's Gap Ability into account. You need to double those numbers.

What part of "enormously experienced former #1 magical girl" says "easily taunted" to you?

The fact that she is also mentally unstable and probably mindfucked.
And we know her berserk button, which is Amanda.

We aren't trying to surprise White Soul with Starshine or Core Purge. The point is that Starshine has a big enough AoE that she can't avoid it anyway. Ditto Core Purge, except we add on the fact that we're faster than her and can chase her down. And even if she escapes both, they're still useful as area-denial; she can't come near us if we're Core Purge'ing and she can't bring both bodies too close in case we use one of them, which limits how quickly she can send clones to harass us.

Which still needs us to have her throw out Soul Rend first, otherwise she just clones herself away.
The point is not to get her off our backs, the point is to drop her... which will not happen if we keep her at bay because there is no opening to exploit.

Depends on how that one interacts with Overwhelming Presence.
Worst Case, Gap is reduced to 50% bonus damage if we do at least 75% of her HP's worth of damage.

Given White Soul's 6666HP, it'll definitely still trigger, for 'only' 19382 damage.
Still enough, though, if she herself isn't affected by the skill that allows everyone else to go deep into negative HP.

Scream For Me
Level 17
-Weapons and Spells lower level than this ability cannot be utilized. Operates as an Overwhelming Presence effect.

Overwhelming Presence
-Opponent Super Abilities operate at 50% reduced effectiveness.

Eh, Scream For Me does not work on Abilities without a level and the OP only works on Super Abilities.
The Insurmountable Gap is still working.

Why do I have a feeling that Peace is going to cause people to explode on Nepgear and traumatize her again while also exploding Insight as her powers backfire and try to divine the god damn language no matter how far she is?

I rather that not happen but I don't have a plan myself. Just pointing out the outcome I think this will cause.

my 2c i dont think we should sue concept speak, but i have bearl been paying attention due to lack of time so... i'm not 100% sure whats going on right now.

Btw, can Core purge even be countered if White Soul saw it?

It's massive AoE and the only way to stop it from constantly obliterating you is being Nepgear's ally, not being Nepgears target, or being far, far away from Nepgear.

It's like perfectly tailored to kill white soul... why aren't we using it?

-edit-

Also a way to stop it is to kill Nepgear fast which tough shit on that one.

-edit-

Eh, probably wrong on this just curious as to why.

it's an interruptible action if you have the skill to do it. It's not easy, but it can be done.

Doesn't that require a variation of the Skilled trait though? Or is that what you meant by needing to have the skill to interrupt it.

Anyway, Core Purge really seems like the easiest way to kill White Soul here. We just need to make sure her bodies are in our radius, run it in, and watch the psycho fry. Of course it obviously won't be that easy, but it seems like a good first move.

But does White Soul have the skill to do it? Honestly, basically grasping straws since I think using the concept language is a very bad idea.

Don't know if that is the winning vote or not, something just screams to me, "Do not use magical concept language!" Like a gut instinct without any real basis.

Mostly because the self-damage effect can lead to Nepgear dying. If we can get it active without taking a Soul Rend to the face it would be quite useful for making space.

I think this is another one of those encounters where the best option is talking our way out of trouble. Which is rather tricky in this instance since the boss put our sister in one of those compacting traps.

And, for that matter, I'm fairly sure trying to talk in the Divine Language is an interruptible actions as well. :V

Also, tactic I just thought of: firing up, as a giant "here I am" sign so backup can arrive.
Sure talking isn't a free action, but talking isn't an action that requires actual focus.

Speaking is much more simple that using magic.

Kinda hard to talk down a yandere from killing you so she can be with her beloved and kill her. She is like literally too insane to really reason with.
