Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

[X]Training. What happened to you during the fight?

I knew we shouldn't have gave up on Candy heart! T.T

Poor girl... we probably should have just aggro'd her and ignored her while we snipped zombies. Ah well, no use crying over shattered candy.

... That didn't work out as well as I thought.

[X]Magical Research. You need to know what that symbol was on Candy Heart.

-[X]Candy Heart was revived by Goddess Red's power, so maybe Rei knows something about the symbol?

I'm not advocating for it but I just want to make a note a fully powered is strong like really really strong but the requirements for it are going to be ridiculous. it might power up from killing magical girls with the amount of power it gets depending on their potential level but if it's anything like it was in the game that it would need to slay several Divine level magical girls to reach full power. A Myth-maker like Candy Heart is probably like a drop in a lake to it. So the only reliable way to get it to full power I can see in this quest so far would be to kill the last CPU and the CPU candidates wherever they are along with all four of the Epic level Goddesses. If by some miracle we were able to do somehow I wouldn't be surprised if we could solo the entirety of the Unified Darkness.

I would also like to point out that we are 27 EXP away from being able to buy one of the mystery options.

[X] Plan: FOR THE SHINY!
-[X] Don't spend any XP this turn.

She died how she lived; being utterly annihilated by a vastly superior opponent. It's how she'd have wanted it, I'm sure. It was honestly rather gratifying to finally be giving out the curbstomp rather than taking it.

Still, we know about some kind of power we get from killing either friendlies, MGs, or friendly MGs now. That's probably worth her life, honestly, even if we still need to find out more.

I wonder if we would have discovered it earlier if we'd gone for the mercy kill on Jessica, or if the victim being an MG is a requirement.

If we can use it on enemies (that we don't think are basically victims we don't really want to hurt), that'd be incredible. I doubt it, but I've been wrong before. We'll have to learn more.

I'll follow up on that plot hook please. Upgrade V2 buys flight up to level 5, I'm sold.

To everyone voting to spend XP: What happened to saving XP when possible and only spending it before/during combat?

Saving for shinies doesn't really appeal to me when we have better ways to improve ourselves with the XP we currently have. Maybe later when most of our skills are all mid-high level, I might save for the shinies, but until then, I'm spending what XP we have to keep us alive.

I just want to point this out because I find it funny. :V

Oblivion Awaits
Level 20
Base Damage: 10,000,000

V.I.C.T.O.R.Y.
Level 99
Base Damge: 10,999,989

We have a bunch of milestones within easy reach, basically. We want to push ourselves up to level 5 in a few places and level 10 on the beam because we're expecting to unlock bonuses for doing so.

I don't see any reason to wait for combat to do that, as it's almost certainly going to be the best path, and because, let's face it, we might well get thrown into combat without getting the opportunity to spend it, due to a surprise attack or similar.

Also, if we unlock something good we can train with it.

It's sad but we made a reasonable action with the information we had at the time. Maybe I would've liked to have ignored her when we realized we can simply no-sell her attacks but what's done is done, we didn't want to aggro BK. IC, we don't know about Control Seals yet and they were vastly more durable than Candy Heart.

We are on the cusp of several bonuses, better get them now and know what they are so we can train with them and incorporate them into later Plans.

Keeping adaptability open for when the next crisis arrives makes sense

It's less about the shinies, even if that is the name of the plan, and more that with the more XP you spend at once the better combos you can build.

Damn. These are good arguments and it was mentioned that the only reason Starshine wouldn't have leveled the Mausoleum was thanks to us practicing it with Rei.
