Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Alright, since there has been some worrying about this, could you explain how Negative Space interacts with Segarite Core and INDESTRUCTIBLE CORE?
Could you please settle the discussion from earlier on the mechanics behind the interaction between Negative Space and Indestructible Core?
Healing is not effected by Damage reduction powers.

So, when they're inverted by Negative space, the damage "Healed" is not reduced. This is the same for poison and Murder effects.

Also the question of whether or not the immunity to body damage modifiers and damage over time from IC and No Longer Human lets us breathe in space (useful for planet cracking!)
I'd like to point you to all the times I've mentioned that Nepgear doesn't actually needs to breath or eat.

It'd be uncomfortable as all hell, but it's doable.

So what you're saying then is that buying Segarite Core was a sucker's buy? Cause that's what I'm getting from this. Jesus we're fucked if we ever run into the bitch who has this ability. Which since we're playing OHGODWHY-mode, we're guaranteed to.

The second group will consist of Red Rose, Brilliant Key, and Insight. The first two's job is to protect Insight while she locates any Control Seals. Once done they can put their years of experience to work by trying to precisely hit the Control Seals and nothing else, Michael and James said it was possible.
Uber, we don't control how the other Magical Girls deploy. We're not the one in charge here.

Also, you're separating Gabriel and Michael, who work better when they're together. I hold having Gabriel outside an especially stupid move, as her Presence of Light is going to be useful removing the control seals.

Finally, Insight has no special ability to locate the Control Seals, which are located on the part of the body hardest to hit, considering the resurrected persons abilities.

...Oh, and the Control Seals are on their skin, what makes you think they'd be able to hit the control seals and nothing else?
well I presume so for Red Rose and Brilliant Key givne how long they've been around, and so will likely fight together better then some other arrangement
Oh, and this is another assumption on your part. Why would you assume they've ever teamed up before?

No, it was just really bad timing.

Negative Space was actually added before you all bought Segarite Core.

But don't expect to run into after this mission. I've only given it to one person so far.

I think the point was to evenly split up the Control Seal nuking abilities.

Samael is the best at spammable sniping of Control Seals, Nepgear can instakill Seals at a cost, and Gabriel and Rei both do large amounts of damage over time to the Seals.

Also to make sure that both parties have healers, since our medics are Brilliant Key, Sega, Gabriel, and possibly Samael (depending on which new spells he gets, if any).

Hmm. Now that I think about it, what do you think the results will be of Synchronizing either Celestial Severance or Starshine with Samael's Purge?

A multitarget Purge sounds pretty useful for this mission!

All known Control Seal bearers are inside. The only reason I have three outside is in case Goddess Red arrives and summons an army, and because two of those aren't particularly useful in close-quarters combat. James to serve as their body-guard and to ensure that Goddess Gold isn't attacked while distracted.

Also, of Team GEAR, Gabriel and Samael are the only ones that can perma-kill the skeleton warriors.

Also, Goddess Gold can target Command Seals as well. You know, in case one tries to escape.

Frankly, this is going to be a boss-rush. We want to get as many ways to eliminate the Command Seals safely, not split them up.

Don't forget that boosting someone with a spell that has a certain Affinity let's them be treated as if they possess that same Affinity. We saw it with Sixth Heaven's Ability that let her massacre the soldiers, so having Samael boost everyone present with that Faith Affinity spell will let them kill the skeletons.

yeah but on literally every mission so far there has been some kind of curveball or snag. Something like dark MG's attacking the barricade is exactly the kind of thing I'm expecting. It makes sense from a strategic perspective, leave a reserve away from the main body to provide assistance in the event of encirclement. Having someone who can pop seals on the barricade would be prudent.

Alectai was *thinking* about that in thread last night. He got shut down. We MIGHT see JD arrive, but we've WOG that Red isn't going to show up, and unless Grey decides to arrive, the UD has Jack Shit that they can send in that won't be whipped out by Rei.

That Faith spell is Boost-Self. It can only affect Samael.

That's what Goddess Gold is for.

Key word here is "known".

I want to be prepared for the possibility of something crazy happening like Goddess Red sending Juggernaut Drive to try and land a sneak attack on Goddess Gold. Remember that Divinity is immune to her "75% chance to negate incoming attacks" and she's currently got a 10% chance to pass up the first turn of battle.

Even if Juggernaut dies immediately afterwards to Rei's Overwhelming Presence, it doesn't really matter since Red would certainly want to go retrieve Rei's body anyways (even though she doesn't technically need it).

If I remember correctly, we only got confirmation that Goddess Grey won't show up. Nothing was ever said about Goddess Red.

Wrong way around: Grey won't show up, Red might.

That's what James is there for.

And is Rei is caught by surprised by that, Gabriel isn't going to be able to save her. :wtf:

My mistake. But if Red shows up, she's going to spam her army, and nobody we have outside is going to be able to affect a battle of that level. Gold and Red going head to head? Or as 'Head To Head' as Red ever gets anyway? All of Team Gear, with the exception of Nep and Micheal, would get eradicated by the backblasts from that fight unless they accessed the Progenitor Golems.

I was more going for "have someone who can fight back if Rei gets hit by a sneak attack or is too busy maintaining a bunch of instances of Chains of the Earth".
oh right, the walking doom tank with a perfect incapacitation spell. The only issue is her OP might kill the girls before the seals pop.
We already got confirmation that, upon request, her OP can work like Gabriel's Presence of Light, harming the Seals without harming the Girls.

Crystal has previously confirmed she can restrict her Overwhelming Presence so she doesn't hit the girls, but does hit the control seal:
She can focus her presence for that yes.

Why Michael?
