Not sure if I want Sega or Rei. Gaia would be interesting to see how a divine being views Nep.

Also, these past few updates.

All I can say is Damnit that was unexpected. Was expecting Truth to live so not happy.

Then again, this could have been avoided if people didn't just want to keep grinding attack power without getting skill.
Eh. If we sub in Nepgear's old damage:
(Purifier Beam: 1,137 Base Damage, +?? Dice, +568 RAGE = 1,705
Blue Sky: 2,600 Base resilience, Dice negated, -1,300 scared shitless of you, +1,200 Faster Combatant = 2,500 Damage Reduction
Truth: 125 Base Resilience, Dice Negated, -25 Can't do shit, +1,108 Echo of Peace = 1,208 Damage Reduction

Blue Sky 0 Total End Damage
Truth 497 Total End Damage

Truth Health: 1,066 - 497 = 569)

Truth would still be seriously hurt but Blue Sky would have flown away unscratched. As bad as things are they would have been worse if we hadn't killed Blue Sky when we did.Running the numbers we'd have needed at least 4,450 damage to kill Blue Sky and that would have also killed Truth. What's worse anything less then killing Blue Sky would have almost certainly resulted in her killing Truth, because as you point out that's a major gain for the Unified Darkness, before dying.

Then again again, I don't pay attention except to updates because I can't stand the constant character sheet spam, so I don't really have grounds to stand on aside from grumbling.
It's died down from the old days. I hate them too but I barely notice it anymore.

But yes.

Truth would have survived if they didn't pump that last pile of damage. Even if she got collateraled, she'd have pulled through, but Blue Sky would have still likely been reduced to atoms.

Truth only got overkiled by one upgrade point after all.
See my above math. Enough damage to kill Blue Sky would always kill Truth. For reference if we only bought to Level 13 Purifier Beam then this is what would have happened:
(Purifier Beam: 2,557 Base Damage, +?? Dice, +1,278 RAGE = 3,835
Blue Sky: 2,600 Base resilience, Dice negated, -1,300 scared shitless of you, +1,200 Faster Combatant = 2,500 Damage Reduction
Truth: 125 Base Resilience, Dice Negated, -25 Can't do shit, +2,492 Echo of Peace = 2,592 Damage Reduction

Blue Sky 1,335 Total End Damage
Truth 1,243 Total End Damage

Blue Sky Health: 3,900 - 1,335 = 2,565
Truth Health: 1,066 - 1,243 = -177)

So Truth dies and Blue Sky survives. An even worse scenario then what happened.

I'm going to go curl up in bed and cry myself to sleep.

I got work in the morning.
You have only yourself to blame. You could have chosen a series of actions that would have resulted in Truth's survival. Like one of the four other magical girls attacking fast enough that Blue Sky couldn't afford to carry Truth up into the sky with her.

We talked about this. I argued fiercely about it, trying to find an outcome that would result in Truth. And yet...

*stares at the outcome*

to near-catatonia from the revelation of Ada's betrayal, you are still in your civilian form when the blast wave hits you and sends you sprawling.
Your heart is starting to pound...
Blue Sky lunges through the smoke, her target clear. No one is able to intercept her as the massive armored Magical Girl hits Truth head on. Truth, not even half her size, tries to fight back.
There is a crunch of shattering bone and Truth's muffled scream of pain. The little battle experience you have whispers that the only possible bones that could have broken were her spine and skull.
Your head hurts... but it doesn't matter.
And as the rest of the Magical Girls in the clearing try to lunge at The Traitor, she pushes off, carrying Truth with her into the sky.
The only question was when and how.

Gehaburn will not be denied.
Since no one's pointed out some invisi-text...

Huh, this quest has numbed me with all the random trauma that I did not feel a thing from the last update... cant really say that is a good thing.

So Nep is destined for Conquest ending due to bad end railroading.

@crystalwatcher - When you wake up I've noticed an error. Solid Core, Blue Sky, and Truth are all in the air. So this line from Supremacy Zone should apply:
When engaging in combat with an aerial opponent, increase Solid Core's damage by 50%.
That means the combat bit should actually be something like:
(Purifier Beam: 3,835 Base Damage, +?? Dice, +1,917 RAGE, +1,917 Supremacy Zone = 7,669
Blue Sky: 2,600 Base resilience, Dice negated, -1,300 scared shitless of you, +1,200 Faster Combatant = 2,500 Damage Reduction
Truth: 125 Base Resilience, Dice Negated, -25 Can't do shit, +4,984 Echo of Peace = 5,084 Damage Reduction

Blue Sky 5,169 Total End Damage
Truth 2,585 Total End Damage

The Insurmountable Gap Triggers!

Blue Sky Health: 3,900 - 10,338 = -6,438
Truth Health: 1,066 - 2,585 = -1,519)

Which uh... probably mean Blue Sky is Red Mist and Truth may have died too fast for last words.

It's even worse than that. Everyone seems to have forgotten that Purifier Beam has Juggernaut as an ability.

Noooooope.

Blue Sky is an aerial specialist, and as you can see, Juggernaut also didn't proc.

Draw your own conclusions. :)
