For better team survival we should save up and get these sometime.

Added character sheets for White and Red, as well as added a few bits to Team GEAR's profiles.

Also, the Goddess profiles all have their human names added into them so you know who is who.

I think we should upgrade our flight, just in case we wind up having to do aerial combat sometime soon. Ideally, well get Purifier Beam to level 4 soon, then I think we should start saving up our XP

This... we're a little girl. Terrible things have happened to us, but this doesn't sound like it's being said by a little girl. It sounds like everybody else in the scene.

EDIT: I just thought of something: out of all the Magical Girls we've met, all of the surviving ones have had less than stellar lives. The first one who got chomped I'm not counting for this purpose, since she died. Is there some sort of rule that says all effective Magical Girls have dark and troubled pasts?

That part was giving a shit ton of trouble and I got fed up with it so I left it as is. Might see about going back and re-writing it or something later.

That event is actually what woke their magical abilities. After their awakening detonated the building they were in and wiped out the demons in the general area, they all decided "Lets go be heroes and fuck these assholes up for our mommy!"

Their whole hero promise originated from the desire to slaughter demons and get back at the mother fuckers that did that.
 
The question now, is how and why some of them fell to the dark side in the first place. Something must have broken their ideals.
 
Well, Reid saying Ichi died points towards some kind of death/came-back-wrong combo, or a death of personality. A severe head wound might cause brain death, that mixed with a body-jacking demon could lead to seeing Ichi's body being puppeteered.
 
I am not surprised AT ALL that the Archer Expies Ideal Broke her. Not sure about the other Goddesses so I can't say anything regarding her.

Somewhat?

Magical Ability is shaped by several thing as far as Human Scientists can figure:

  • Childhood.
  • Wakening Event.
  • Location it awakens.

More positive childhoods leads to positive Affinities like Candy, and Happiness, and LOVE.

Bad Childhoods lead to affinities like Blood, Slaughter, and EVIL.

Waking Events are events that lead to the magical powers waking up. They range from mundane 'Holy shit I just made the Glass vanish for no fucking reason" to the brutally horrific: see first story post. Hell, a good scare can wake someone's magic up. Or a particularly happy birthday. The intensity of these events to the person they happen to often influences what they get from their childhood to more exotic affinities like Rule or Steel.

Location has only recently been proven as a factor because it tends to have very little to no effect at all. When it does though, it tends to be obvious: like Samael. His power woke up in the school library hence his affinity. Otherwise no ones quite sure what it does.

The strength of the influence is also rated the same as above.

I'm fairly sure Red/Ni is animating Grey/Ichi with her powers. Her Affinities are Life/Horror/Epic afterall.

Possibly with the help of some Demon Lord to explain why she joined the other side.

...Or Ichi thinks fighting the Darkness is doomed to fail, and joined so as preserve herself and her sister.

Well, Grey might have been turned into a zombie of some sort and that probably caused Red to finally go off the deep end. But I don't understand why Red would join the Darkness, wouldn't she hate them even more because of what they've done?

    • To give you guys a heads up San isn't actually an Expy. She' a completely original MG that I built for the quest.

    I got Antaeus' help making her. He used the Accidental MG CYOA to make the outline and I went from there.
