Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

I think it's a reference to Order of the Stick, which is set in a world based on D&D 3.5, where the bard got the idea that if heavy armour impedes stealth, wearing nothing would make you invisible!

Intelligence and Wisdom were Elan's dump-stats, rather obviously.

OoTS is great.

I think there's also this comic floating around which shows that Women's armor stat actually increases as they wear less armor.
Statistically proven, just see WoW.

Its' like the inverse armor law or something :D

<insert needmorearmor.jpeg here>
There was that guy in Digimon Frontier. Transform for a ton of armor and missiles, then on the assault, blasts off more and more armor along with the missiles until he's superfast with a beam sword instead.
Now in Japan due to the large number of Bathhouses / Hot Spa Inns / Ectera, 'partial nudity' is far more 'meh' than it is in America.

And I guess stuff about -purity- and other complicated Japanese cultural stuff I don't really know enough to talk about.

Or maybe it has nothing to do with that and Japan just far more chill about this.

There is a link between purity and nudity...but its just fanservice in media.

This one seems good.
It's not bad. Its just I ran into some rather good ones that I like a bit better:

I'm leaning more towards the second and third right now though.

Huh. Not sure how to take this.

Ladies on gentlemen? The modern Fan service.

Reminds me of Armored Core.

You can dump weapons as they run out of ammo for more speed until your reduced to a beam saber. Save some of the sabers are totally useless after a certain number of uses.

Hm, re-reading, I think I might not actually be a reference, but they were saying something like this:
It'd be fine if you didn't describe the nudity, and no one saw Napgear naked. But since we, the players, are aware you'd have to make sure no one saw Napgear while she's unclothed, running around naked would be effectively force you make Napgear invisible. So you wouldn't allow such a situation in the first place.

Personally, I'd go with the second one, those eyes are beautiful and they have a look that says "I'm going to kill you and there is nothing you can do about it."

Reading it like that makes a bit more sense but tempts me to try and attempt to get shit past the radar.

I know, right? It'd be fricking great.

Also for everyone: Found a great motivational!

(Equalizer: 300 Base Damage, +43 Dice, +15 Momentum = 358 Total Damage
Demon Commander: 100 Base Resilience, +16 Dice, +10 Distance = 126 Damage Reduction

232 Total Damage

Demon Commander Health: 1500 - 126 = 1,374 Remaining Health)

I hate to be the one to point this out, but you subtracted the wrong number from the demon commander's health. Unfortunately, if you fix all the resulting numbers and don't change any of Truth's dice rolls, Nepgear won't have the chance to deal a final blow.

+56 Total EXP: 63 Current EXP

Arg, so close to buying +health :(

I'm voting to risk not buying anything for the chance to get to 75 total exp to buy Core Amplifier.

... DAMNIT.

I'll leave the typo as is so Nep can keep her killing blow. Jut try to ignore it <.<

Huh? What you talking 'bout?

<----------- Goes to look this shit up.

I have this list of games I'm happy I've never played.

So. Fucking. Happy. Oh my god.
As much of a fan of AT as I am, even I'll admit that no, you really shouldn't play the 3rd game. Just watch the cutscenes or an LP and skip the fights with a couple of taps with "L" on youtube. The other two are alright, the first one is bog-standard JRPG. But, its the first one they made, so can't really fault them on that one. 2nd one is much better, and has both Best Girls from the entire series (Cocona and Mir).

And of course, the Music. Ar Tonelico has some very beautiful music.

And when someone mentioned them flushing out the setting they meant. Prequels set millennium in the past showing how the humans got to Ar Ciel (The World), dozens of drama CDs expanding and explaining everything in between, and even more besides. We have a user named Aquagon here that's doing a lot of the translation work for all it in fact.

Second please.

And then there's the Wave Theory stuff......................
All their explanations of "how does magic actually work" are some of the most detailed technobabble I've ever seen outside of an engineering textbook.

[X]The Barricades are more important.
[X] Do not shop yet.

Guys, we are too weak to fight Mooks, wtf are we going to do to a singular target capable of taking on a veteran MG? We're Mooks ourselves!

And it breaks down into a few facts. The EXO_Pico Sung the rest of the universe/itself into existence, the universe is made up primarily of two types of waves (Static and Dynamic, matter and energy, which have their own sub-sets), and Singing is using these waves to change the universe on a local level.

In other words, Song Magic is literally warping reality with your emotions. Well, you need a Tower, but still.

But yeah, once you get the key pieces the technobabble actually starts to make sense. In an awesome way.
