Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

[X]Chase after Rei, San, James, and most importantly, Sega. You want more time with your sisters, surrogate or otherwise.
[X]Check up on the war and what you missed. You've missed a day and your worried about the offensive

[X] Buy Covering Fire 75 XP
[X] Long Range Bombardment 100 XP

Also I see we made the right choice to have the Angel of Hugging Small Children Gabriel watch Ana. After all, that hilarious scene with everyone getting tangled up in a hug would not have happened with one of the guys.

Honestly, I'd rather get Synchronize now to see what that unlocks for us :(

Right now, our biggest weakness is that we lack biggatons after all. Increasing our basic attack helps though.

*Looks at Napgear wanting to deal with her sister choking her out being seared into her brain over our omake-dreams* Just a little late for that I think.
Not even getting a chance to act human would just add an extra problem on top of that, making her even more mentally unstable.

I didn't say that eating normal food would repair her mental stability, just that it would help prevent things from getting worse.

Fair enough.

[X]Follow Mike. cafeteria chaos sounds like just what the doctor ordered after your... experience.
[X]Take a look around the base. You wonder if there's any new Magical Girls in residence.

So now isn't a good time for me to actually work out the math, but I just noticed something amusing.

If my extremely rough calculations are correct, the shiny new power armor has made it so that James, Michael, and Samael are now all powerful enough to win solo fights against Judgement Core (if she hasn't leveled up at all since Nepgear's match with her), even without the benefit of Echo of Peace.

Comparing the current strength of our team (without Echo of Peace) and the strength of Judgement Core at the time we defeated her, all our teammates are capable of getting a OHKO against her, James can easily tank anything she throws out, Michael can easily tank her regular attacks and can either almost or just barely tank her spell, and for Samael it looks like it comes down to whether or not being an actual party member makes him important enough that he gets to attack first.

Hmm. I'm going to assume JC always goes first simply because she's a fellow Core and so sadly more likely to be narratively important then Team GEAR.

Another benefit to getting both of those together is that, logically speaking, almost anything we're using Covering Fire against should inherently count as flying.

What are we going to be using Covering Fire against that isn't airborne? Grenades that roll across the ground?

Um. It specifies flying opponents. I highly doubt @crystalwatcher would count attacks as being opponents. Frankly I'm not entirely sure I'd qualify airborne attacks as being flying since most/all of them lack any source of upwards thrust and so really are more falling then flying.

Honestly, I'd rather get Synchronize now to see what that unlocks for us :(

Right now, our biggest weakness is that we lack biggatons after all. Increasing our basic attack helps though.

Synchronize costs 350 xp. For that about the same price we could get:

1) 3 Levels of Purifier Beam (360xp) for a Base Damage of 3,835

2) 4 Levels of Celestial Severeness (300xp) for a total damage of 51,200 and most likely adding a Divinity affinity (+500 damage from Hostile Divinity Effect).

3) 5 levels of Starshine (350xp) for a total damage of 10,308 and either another affinity or another ability.

All three options are guaranteed serious biggertons unlike Synchronize which is a mystery box that, going by the limited description, lets spellcaster allies synchronize spells with us like normal allies can wit regular attacks. Which is actually fairly useless since you need at least three people to get first synchronize bonus (x2 damage) but we've only got one spellcaster (Samael) since Gabriel doesn't have any attack spells.

For Round 2, you forgot to take into account that Michael's Atheism grants him a 50% damage resist against all Spells.

No I didn't:
End Game: 11,500 Base Damage, +165 dice, +2,300 Full Auto, +2,300 Full Auto, +2,300 Full Auto, +2,300 Full Auto, +2,300 Full Auto = 23,165 Total Damage
Michael Rodriguez: 2,000 Base Resilience, no dice, -1,500 Juggernaut = 500 Damage Reduction

Atheist: 11,332 Damage Reduction

11,333 Total End Damage

Michael Rodriguez: 5,000 - 11,333 = -6,333 Health Remaining

Judgement Core Domination!

Foolish Sega! While you and Rei struggle with each other to decide who is the Best Sister, Truth and Carnage will seize the opportunity and claim the title behind your back!
Not really. Sega holds pretty much every single familial emotional bond we possess, compared to all of other contenders, who started off as our senpais. And then Sega came back from the dead and blue/orange'd her way through the inherent mind control that came as a part of that just to be with and protect us, because of the power of love.

I mean, there's no forbidden love here, but the degree to which she loves us passed into the realms of wholesome sis-con years ago.

And I'm fine with that. Sega is best sister.

Her life revolves around us. Which might not be much of a surprise really, she probably latched on to Nepgear as being the only good point in her life very young. Nepgear probably avoided that because of Sega being out of the house/Sega pushing her out into interacting with others on a regular enough basis that that same attachment was at least blunted into something more... normal I guess.

She does, fortunately, have other goals for herself that don't revolve around us. But we are, by far, her primary concern.

Yeah. Sega lives her entire life based on how some things affect Anna's health and happiness first and foremost, then followed by her own desires.

I would not be surprised if she has an ability that is simply taking a hit that would have struck Nepgear so that she would protect her sister.

That wouldn't surprise me either
My Blue Dragon character, which is canon, has an ability like that for MG Blue Dragon.
