Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Covering Fire. It lets Nepgear perform intercepts for her allies. This is great since worst case scenario it reduces incoming attacks on our allies by 1,137 + 1d175 (Purifier Beam damage) and likely removes the Magic Modifier bonus damage from the attack. Best case scenario it's enough to completely counter the attack with any leftover damage on our part spilling over to the attacker. That it's a mere 75xp just makes it even better.

Other then that I'd recommend waiting to spend anymore XP since more XP gives more options and we'll have a better idea of what we need to invest in by then.
I love how we've invested so much into our defensive capabilities that we can take on high level enemies and expect to win, and fight extreme level opponents at parity. I'm not sure that anyone on the side of the Unified Dark except the Dark Lord, Goddess Red, and Goddess Gray can actually take us on anymore.

The Juggernauts.

Well, if we have Covering Fire, then buying more levels in Purifier Beam is a pretty good idea, since its increases the amount of damage we can negate as well as increasing the chance we can totally negate an attack and get off a counterattack.

I actually want to spend sometime with Mike because I don't think we've ever spent much time with him outside team events and missions, but smoothing things over between our sisters and checking out how the War is going is too important.

Let's find out what ripples we've made and consequently, how hard the UD will be gunning for us.

So, Nepgear, Nep-Nep and her movable wall of manly armor to tank incomings and munch them while Nepgear does beamy thing.

Mmmm... Beamy beams of beamy death...

Evangeline was requested? As an Epic? She probably needs major nerfing as it's hard to represent her in a way that's not overpowered. I'm willing to drop her to Legend and lower her stats a tad to start.

If you really want to give her 5 affinities (which we don't know is even possible for a magical girl), it might be better to take advantage of her vampirism by making her neither human nor magical girl, but having gained many human mannerisms by living among humans for an extended period of time.

Sorry. that was a mistake. That's four affinities, which is confirmed as possible.

It's official, I don't think these things through enough.

Neither of those... It's just... well...

How do I explain this?

Health: 5,000 (25,000)
Base Damage: 1,600 (8,000)
Base Resilience: 800 (4,000)
Magic Modifier: 80 (400)

I know how to explain it!

You tried to do basic math in this quest again! We all know what happens when one tries to do basic math here...

... the numbers go crazy, the world warps, and 4+5 = 7. Somehow.

Grab the cheap stuff, +10% A-A is nice, and it probably comes with some kind of other bonus. (also might unlock some sort of special CF/AA beam combo against the sky. Maybe some sort of Flak Skill? FLAK LAZERS are fairly awesome.

"Um... Nep... Anastasia... I... I'm sorry. For not saving you sooner from... her." You know who she's talking about, though both Rei and Gabriel both turn to you. You don't look at them and keep your eyes on Sega, trying to ignore the pain of betrayal that you know isn't her fault. "It's just... I didn't want to hurt her, you know? I thought..." She ducks her head and scratches at her scalp again, "Hell. I don't know what I was thinking." She looks up and stares you straight in the eye. And you find yourself unable to look away from the desperation in her gaze. "I'm sorry. I know I have no right, but... would you forgive me? Would you let me back in, even after all of this?"

"It's okay, Sega. I understand why you didn't want to do it. But..." and at this Anastasia looked off into the distance with a wistful gaze "There can be only one."

Sega facepalmed.

We haven't eaten in days!
We're a plushy. We don't need to eat... But...

Rei blinked as she walked into her tent. The scene before her simultaneously concerned her on a primal level even as it amused her to the point of insensibility. Either Nepgear had been attacked by Magical Girl Saccharine Brainfreeze, which meant that there was a defector in the camp, or she had really...

Anastasia lay on the floor, curled up in the fetal position, stomach bulging. Her face was smeared with icecream, and her head sat in a small puddle of what appeared to be the same flavor. A three gallon tub of chocolate icecream from Rei's personal stash lay empty near her head. As Rei watched, she could make out a faint groaning noise.

Judging by the shape of her stomach, she would have had to have unhinged her jaws like a snake, so how—

With a small click, Anastasia's jaws popped back into position.

Magical Girl Goddess Gold proceeded to laugh herself into a coma.

Sega smiled, because everything was going according to plan. Her plan. Her plan to have Anastasia all for herself. Carnage and Truth, she would have mercy on, but she wouldn't let anybody else get in her way...

And that's why we shouldn't double up on the icecream vote.

So now isn't a good time for me to actually work out the math, but I just noticed something amusing.

If my extremely rough calculations are correct, the shiny new power armor has made it so that James, Michael, and Samael are now all powerful enough to win solo fights against Judgement Core (if she hasn't leveled up at all since Nepgear's match with her), even without the benefit of Echo of Peace.

Comparing the current strength of our team (without Echo of Peace) and the strength of Judgement Core at the time we defeated her, all our teammates are capable of getting a OHKO against her, James can easily tank anything she throws out, Michael can easily tank her regular attacks and can either almost or just barely tank her spell, and for Samael it looks like it comes down to whether or not being an actual party member makes him important enough that he gets to attack first.

Another benefit to getting both of those together is that, logically speaking, almost anything we're using Covering Fire against should inherently count as flying.

What are we going to be using Covering Fire against that isn't airborne? Grenades that roll across the ground?
