Okay...we have 50XP
Things we can afford to raise are Flight Level 3->4 at 30 XP, or Armored Core Level 2->4 at 20+30 XP

There is no safe option here you know? If we charge the death army, the only thing we really need to protect will be ourselves and our team if they don't stay at the barricades.

Which means we can avoid the more dangerous ones, and kill the weaker ones much better.

Where as we choose to defend the barracks, succeeding the initiative to an entire army, and can't really afford to let them past.

Which I also think most of the stronger demons will be going to.

Though there are likely strong demons guarding the hellgates, but at least we could pick our battles, and terrain we want to fight them in than if we played defensive.

Plus, we have a type advantage and specialize in long range snipping with an unstoppable beam attack. Being able to move freely is a huge advantage.

Though being able to focus sniping moving targets from a defensive position could work.

I just like being more aggressive.

Plus two people closing the gates would make them close much faster, ending all demon reinforcements.

Mmmyeah. You know what they call slow flyers in a battle like this? Skeet.

20 mph is just nowhere near fast enough to keep up with Carnage or avoid getting shot. If we had a better turn of speed in the air I might think differently, but we don't. Start at the barricades, acquire xp, rush in to help Carnage and save the day after leveling a few times.

If you insist on rushing in right away, improving flight is a better idea than improving AC, but it's still a bad idea.

@crystalwatcher? Does our unstoppable attack completely ignore anything that would stop it? Like, say, armor? Or multiple demonic bodies? Because if we lay down enough of those we can just start skewering the entire army...

Base Resilience: 50
Magic Modifier: 10
Affinity: Chaos

Man if we had JUST A BIT MORE XP, we could've upgraded CELESTIAL SEVERENCING to one shot these guys.

Now it'll take 4 shots, but hey we've got allies.

We should also be wayy behind the tank lol

Assuming either a flat armor growth of +10, we'll have 45 Damage Reduction + -5%, so... not enough to survive a single hit really.

Assuming a growth rate of 1.6666 repeating we'll have.... 69~ +/- depending on rounding armor and another -5% so... we'll still 'die' in one hit lol.

Recommend we up damage instead.

I'm having a lot of fun with this chapter. So much fun I'm going to give you guys this piece.

The Future said:

Building Support Column: Reduction Negated, -15 Previous Damage, -50 Magic Damage: +65 Extra Damage

Building Support Column Health: 100 - 283 = -183 (Critical Failure)

The battlefield is significant in this quest.
