Tonight or tomorrow after work. I'm typing it up now but I'm not sure if I'll be done before I need to go to sleep.Crystalwatcher a quick question? Will there be a update tonight since you closed the vote?
Wait wait wait didn't you say that the next kaleidescope wouldn't be for a while?!?!? Oh goodness! *panics*Going to close voting in a bit. Get omakes and vote sin before then please.
It's still not for a while. Don't worry too much.Wait wait wait didn't you say that the next kaleidescope wouldn't be for a while?!?!? Oh goodness! *panics*
If they're single-handedly capable of halting the United Light's advance without so much as a single causality, or capable of soloing a Goddess, then yes. You probably did.You know, it dawned on me a few days ago that I might have overdone the Children of Nightmare when I was making them.

Children of Nightmare as stated in coming update said:The Children of Nightmare. The most recent addition to the Unified Darkness' factions literally no one knew where they came from. Including the Children themselves. What was known though was that they fell into two groups.
The first and most well known group was also the cause of the Horror industry in human entertainment to simply wither and die off in less than a year. The reason? The 'Lesser Nightmares' as they were known were born from fear. If enough sentient entities were afraid of something specifically, a Child of Nightmare would be born from that fear.
The only saving grace of that though, was that the thing causing fear had to be something tangible. Like say... a monster from a horror movie. It was this revelation that lead humans to almost collectively dropping horror flicks like hot potatoes. Sadly though, this came too late to stop some truly horrific Children from being born. And since they tended to have the powers portrayed to them, absolutely no one wanted to be the poor sod that ran into the likes of Freddy Kruger or Jason.
The sheer number of creatures that had been portrayed as unstoppable or unkillable in their fictional works had caused the Unified Light more problems then Humanity truly wanted to acknowledge. Especially since it was technically all their fault that the Children were as diverse as they were.
It was a bit of an embarrassment as you'd probably guess. It also didn't help when Counter Force soldiers ran into ones the recognized from those old movies that still surfaced from time to time. Like the Alien movies.
Those had a bad habit of wiping out entire strongholds when no one caught them in time.
What is the second group?
That's how it usually winds up translating out to, but the unlucky bastards that tend to wind up running into them don't usually have the required firepower to put them down.Perhaps the "invincible" ones can simply be hard to kill instead?
Were the unfortunate ones regular soldiers, or magical girls?/人 ◕ ‿‿ ◕ 人\

9 times out of 10 it's regular soldiers.
Then it turns into a normal "You've got to face your fears!" Episode culminating in the monster turning out to not be as scary as everybody thought it was and it getting wrecked.9 times out of 10 it's regular soldiers.
The belief in the average Magical Girls' abilities let them wreck'em usually. Unless they get jumped when they're not paying attention.
Pretty much. Then it turns into a normal "You've got to face your fears!" Episode culminating in the monster turning out to not be as scary as everybody thought it was and it getting wrecked.
Genre conventions are powerful things.

Heeeeeeeyyyyy, wait a second. That guy with the Atheist Trait? He got that because he doesn't believe so hard that he instead tangibly anti-believes. He'd also freaking wreck any children of nightmare.
So...next on Team GEAR's encounter list then. That's how it usually winds up translating out to, but the unlucky bastards that tend to wind up running into them don't usually have the required firepower to put them down
Actually, everybody but that guy who's name starts with S is uniquely equipped to put the hurt on the things under the bed, in Team Gear, and he can just borrow the power from somebody else.
Easy to tell from the fact that the above info-dump is in the next update.

It sucks for the Unified Light that isn't Humanity, but movie monsters actually just melt under prolonged scrutiny from almost literally anybody human.
It's why humanity is embarrassed by them. Most of the Unified Light would get wrecked by them, but Humans can kill them rather easily. And are responsible for nearly 98% of their population.Uhh... Slenderman?
I mean that's about.... wait no cuz Nepgear's flashlight powers too strong.
I can't really think of any Horror Villians that'd last against Nep's flashlight skills.
Admittedly I am not a horror fan, so my knowledge is limited to Cinema Sins and Cultural Assimilation.
