Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

I'm going to sleep so no time for serious plans. However it's quite obvious we have no chance at fighting Goddess White and/or the Maidens. Hell even Angel WEAPON doesn't realy have any chance.

Luckily we don't need to win, we just need to escape. I say we use Celestial Severance to drop the roof on them. Might delay them long enough to get away.
Ehh, I'd say that our survival odds are probably better if we just admit that we're far too weak to make a difference in any conflict between them and just politely ask to leave.

[X] Help Angel WEAPON. That Virus is too dangerous to let go! It needs to be destroyed before any lives are lost.

Has anyone else noticed that every time we meet one of the goddess the deposition they have towards us gets worse and worse. Goddess Gold liked us and wanted to take us home with her, Goddess Grey didn't honestly give a shit about us to her we were just collateral damage, Goddess Red was mildly annoyed we were there so she sicked her demon knight on us, and now if we side against the apocalypse Goddess White is going to consider us an active enemy that is in her way.

To sum everything up, someone out there really hates Nepgear.

Has the situation changed enough that dragging out the conversation in order to stall for time until Rei arrives is a viable tactic?
Nope. Not even. She's still way too far away, and the situation is a hairsbreadth from collapsing.

Question Watcher. Would CORE PURGE target the Virus? Or only the Maidens and White?
If we target the "Virus" as an enemy, wouldn't Purge atomize it?
Possibly. But it's shielded by the box, and do you really want to risk it being an air-born virus that has the possibility of being sucked up by the vents before your Purge kills it?

We're not that far off of being able to hurt them... we just don't have enough XP... fuck. CS doubles its attack every level-up, its at 1600 ATK at level 6 right now.
The up side is, if you die you still get a ton of exp anyway.

So, uh, looking at everyone's profile... we're completely screwed. Things to think about...

Maiden of the West has ridiculous resilience, so we need Juggernaut people against her. That's assuming she doesn't have an anti-Juggernaut skill, which is a shaky assumption considering her whole theme is shield. Even Angel can't touch her judging by base stats.

Truth has the 25% heal (Hell Rush), but only every five turns. That'll be useful. Other than that, she doesn't seem complicated, so she should probably go hit people.

Samael has Shell, and his magic modifier is good enough to get above the aura. He should probably use that first turn. Then, I think, he should use snipe shot, sacrificing three full-auto shots to interrupt an enemy action. This seems to be the main way scrubs like us can contribute to a fight of this magnitude.

James's 'Merely' Human is ridiculous, and Gabriel will heal him constantly. So let's throw him at the enemies and hope he survives. There's no way this can possibly go wrong. (There are so many ways this can go wrong, but I don't have a better idea.)

Michael has the weakest hax, it seems, so let's have him shoot people.

Gabriel... can Judgment do anything with a Magic Modifier of 500 in San's presence? If not, she should go hit people.

Nepgear... could interrupt with Skilled, and she could pierce Maiden of the West's ridiculous resilience, but I'll wait for someone to come up with something clever with the environment.

Bleh. It looks like my plan ('plan') boils down to supporting Angel as best as we can, interrupting the enemies as we can, while everyone who can't contribute in this way hits people.

I'm thinking we should focus on Maiden of the East first, since she has high damage and presumably low resistance. She can murder any of us in one hit, so eh, but we're so screwed that this isn't a comparatively bad plan, just absolutely a bad plan.

Ok, so here's a basic plan.

[X] Help Angel WEAPON. That Virus is too dangerous to let go! It needs to be destroyed before any lives are lost.

[X] Plan Stall like Crazy
-[X] Let Angel WEAPON take on Goddess White. She's the closest in power to White.
-[X] Take on the Maiden of the West yourself. Focus on intercepting her attacks with your own, and tanking the ones you can't intercept.
-[X] Have Samael empower Team GEAR and Angel WEAPON, then have him focus on keeping the Maiden of the East from attacking as best he can. James should focus on keeping East's attention focused on himself.
-[X] Have Truth and Gabriel remain close enough that all of the team is within the range of their healing abilities. In the meantime, they should focus on hit-and-run tactics focused on keeping West and East respectively off guard, and hopefully keeping them form using spells. They should immediately retreat whenever they are injured, and wait until they are healed back to near top condition to resume the hit-and-run tactics.
-[X] Before the fight begins, ask if anyone knows who released the virus, and why they did such a thing. If anyone answers, have Michael continue the conversation.
-[X] Purchase Interceptor Fire (50 XP)

Ok, let's explain this. Angel WEAPON is the only capable of stalling White without getting insta-gibbed, so let's have her handle that.

West's base damage is pitiful, only a measly 500. Unfortunately, she gets 5 attacks per turn, so she'll be able to attack us twice without us intercepting her. Assuming that Intercepting her attacks allows us to apply our weapon's Judgement effect to West's attack, her Magic Modifer will be negated. This means all of her incoming damage will be 500 per attack. Now, Intercepting that attack will reduce the incoming damage to 243 by our own damage. That will in turn be reduced by our base resilience to 13, which will in turn be completely negated by our Armored Core Ranking. So, we won't take any damage from Intercepted attacks.

As for the attacks we can't Intercept, assuming West rolls a 1 for her Magic Modifer, our resilience will reduce the damage to 271, which in turn will be completely negated by Armored Core. For quick reference, incoming damage needs to be at least 337 in order to actually deal damage to us, which will still be reduced by 75%. At full power, West's damage becomes 1500, which is reduced to 1270 by our resilience, which is reduced to 318 by Armored Core, which in turn is reduced to 159 by No Longer Human. So, according to my calculations, West will do somewhere between 0 and 159 damage for each of her non-intercepted attacks, 200 which will be healed by Gabriel's Presence of Light. Core Purge can currently deal 1650 damage, so it's practically useless here, so we shouldn't use it. For Truth, her resilience is 125, so she will take a minimum of 375 damage and a maximum of 1375 damage for every hit she takes from West. As Truth only has 2500, it would be best if she avoided being hit more than once, as two hits in a row without Truth disengaging and healing could kill Truth.

East on the other hand has a terrifying attack of 10000, which can decimate nearly all of us. Gabriel is the only one who can tank that without dying, but James' Merely Human trait let's him auto-dodge any attack that deals more than 100 damage, and get a free counterattack. The damage to his body caused by the stress should be healed by Gabriel's Presence of Light. Gabriel's Judgement spell increases her base attack to 8500 + d400 + d500, but she doesn't have the Intercept ability. East might, so if she does, Gabriel powers up, attacks East, and is intercepted by East, Gabriel will be dealt a maximum of 1498 damage, and a minimum of 600 damage. I'd like to take a moment to thank the QM for not giving East a Magic Modifier. So, Gabriel can tank a hit from East and an Intercept, but she should avoid getting hit in the first place.

Due to my preceding analysises (analyses?), I believe that Truth and Gabriel should focus on hit-and-run tactics, focusing mainly on helping keep Solid Core and James alive.

The Interceptor Fire purchase is because our Base Damage is reduced by 500 thanks to Goddess White's presence, do giving ourselves a way to use Interception at range seems like a good idea.

Ultimately, this plan is not about winning. No, it's about stalling long enough for the other WEAPONs to get here, and it is focused around this goal. If we kill any of them, it will only be due to freak chance.

Any questions or complaints?

Except that Goddess White can easily oneshot Nepgear.

Only way I see us siding with Angel WEAPON and leaving without any of our party members getting maimed or killed is if Gaia decides to respond by temporarily possessing and buffing our human party members.

I really think we should have team gear (the squishes) just leave, I doubt they can contribute and I have a bad feeling that they might get pasted all over the walls.

[x]Take a Third Option. Fuck this shit, your out. The Virus is dangerous, but your not strong enough yet to make a real difference in a fight like this. Let them beat the shit out of each other.

Gabriel... can Judgment do anything with a Magic Modifier of 500 in San's presence? If not, she should go hit people.
Just so you guys know, Judgement is a buff spell that Gabriel can cast on herself.

It adds it's Base Damage to her attacks while it's active, while it's magic modifier rolls for bonus damage on an attack. So it effectively gives her (8,500 + d400 + d500) in damage. It lasts the fight.

... How far is Truth from White/The Maidens?
You and Team GEAR are right inside the only human-accessible entrance to the room. Truth is in the dead center with the Maidens and Goddess White surrounding her. The room is roughly 19 square meters large. It's not very big.

Hmm... It doesn't explicitly say anywhere that that our enemies can fly, so maybe Nepgear could grab the virus and fly away with it to relative safety... at, uh, 40 mph.

Just trying to consider a broad range of possibilities here, even if they seem unlikely and/or bad.

I think the main advantage here is that it doesn't really matter if Angel WEAPON dies, since she can respawn. She could hold them off for a few rounds before she gets gibbed.

Do either Gabriel or East have the Intercept ability? I don't think Gabriel does, but I'd like to make sure.

Oh, and one other thing to consider. Retreating keeps us off the radar of hostile big wigs. Going up against three of the strongest MGs around simultaneously and living to tell about it will instantly make us a priority target.

Gabriel doesn't have Intercept.

As for East, you'll have to fight her to find out, or become friends.
Does Gaia's ability to possess humans grant any buffs? Also, is Instant Evolution reversible (after the battle ends)?
I mean, she wasn't lying. There was nothing impeding our ability to follow her to the basement, no matter what we wanted.
Very much a case of From a Certain Point of View. That isn't a lie if she mentally defines "the wrong hands" as "anyone who isn't one of my allies".

Edit:
Ninja'd by the QM.
