Crystalwatcher's Magical Girl Quest!

Raise your hands if you think the Unified Darkness might have the fourth party that released the rats. *Raises Hand* Which just means they're waiting to gang up on the loser if I'm right and it wasn't White's side that did it.

If it was... well, that's just another mark against her.

Possible idea to offset White, mention how disappointed Rei would be? It either will affect her, or it won't. Either would be good to know.

IDK, how viable do you guys think a sneak attack is going to work?

like

[]Walk out of the room silently far enough so they stop paying attention to you
-[]CALL REI. YOU NEED AN ADULT
--[]Buff up like crazy, and everyone Gank the Maiden of the East

That or how likely do you guys think Nepgear using diplomacy on White would work? Just keep yattering on. Actually that might not be bad?

[]Attempt Diplomacy on Goddess White appeal to her old bond with Rei

I mean succeed or fail we can probably tick the clock a lot of minutes to stall her.

Ok, just to let everyone know, I did some re-working of my plan. It's the same in essence, but it now has Gabriel and Truth doing hit-and-run tactics to help out Solid Core and James. I've done a lot of math to point out why they should not focus on West and East on one-on-one melee, and feel free to check my math yourselves if you want to.

[]Help Goddess White. The Virus is dangerous... but the thought of facing down yet another Goddess, and this one actually wanting to kill you, is a far more daunting prospect.

Like facing down odds that will near certainly kill us is anything new. Nah, fuck you White. You fell in with a bad crowd, maybe because Shiva or whomever promised you to help your sister but she's playing you like a puppet. I mean, seriously? Using that virus to help humanity is a shaky bullshit reason at best that'll kill billions. We should totally try and guilt-trip her about leaving her sister.

[]Take a Third Option. Fuck this shit, your out. The Virus is dangerous, but your not strong enough yet to make a real difference in a fight like this. Let them beat the shit out of each other.

Really tempted to take this. This situation is stupid and beyond us, Angel WEAPON is probably using us just as a distraction so she can escape with the canister. But I'd rather her have it then Goddess White.

[X] Help Angel WEAPON. That Virus is too dangerous to let go! It needs to be destroyed before any lives are lost.

This update has made me love Gaia even more.

One thing that everyone definitely needs to keep in mind is that a narrow success is actually a worse outcome than a death is.

A death gives us xp and the option to try again, whereas a narrow success forces us to continue onwards with permanently crippled or dead party members, which is a very, very bad thing considering that we've invested in Core Connection.

True, but with my plan the chance of anyone actually dying is minimized. In all honesty, I'm just trying to keep everyone on Team GEAR alive until the second WEAPON arrives, whereupon Angel and her sister will most likely either drive off White and the Maidens, make their own escape, or maybe accidentally kill us in the clash between titans that occurs. In all options other than the last, I intend for us to run the hell away once the second WEAPON gets here.

Oh thank god the thing in the basement wasnt what I thought it was. That things special ability might have been able to oneshot Goddess gold.

I don't trust Gaia. I think she's gonna take the virus and tweak it before releasing it.

True, but if we're fighting a defensive battle for the sake of stalling, it's probably also worth spending 50 of our 57 xp on obtaining the "Interceptor Fire" ability, which should greatly enhance our ability to withstand ranged attacks.

Also, it's probably a horrible idea, but there's one other potential tactic which hasn't been brought up yet. Gehaburn

But there won't be any ranged attacks. White and East both use a sword, while West uses a shield. The only ranged attacks will be from spells, and let's face it: if they start breaking out the spells, we're dead no matter what we do.

Mostly because we're not completely sure how to activate at, and using it quite possibly requires us to kill an ally to do it. So that's out of the question.

What about it? it's probably as strong as a tree branch right now and won't get any stronger unless we kill magical girls. So unless you know how to take one that's here out I don't see much point to it right now.

Which we can't use yet, we don't even know what it does for us. Rei's the one that got the sword when we died after all.

And that's evidence that dying really is worse than narrow victory as well, that's a Diabolus ex Machina right there.

Rei has a copy of Gehaburn due to the "dream" she had. We still have the original.

"This Virus has a .03% survival rate amongst all the test subjects. Of those, less then half survive without mutation. If it gets out like these idiots are planning, it will decimate the Human population.
Annihilate. Not decimate, annihilate. Destroying or mutating only ten percent of humanity in exchange for giving the other 9/10ths superpowers would probably be a small enough loss for a big enough gain that even Gaia would be tempted.
Possibly. But it's shielded by the box, and do you really want to risk it being an air-born virus that has the possibility of being sucked up by the vents before your Purge kills it?

The box is mundane and cannot block divine energies, for the same reason that walls are mundane and we can irridiate our enemies through them. Core Purging the virus to death wouldn't burn away the box for the same reason that the entire mausoleum didn't spontaneously combust.

[X] Core Purge. The Maidens and the Goddess are more like natural disasters to you right now, but that virus? It's something you can fight.

What I don't understand, why that virus is not yet destroyed. Person that want it gone have it in hands... so why it is still there?
