Blue Dragon: *sigh* Yes, father.
"Why should I listen to you? You are not my father!"
"Your first father let you end as a trophy in the Bey of Beggar's palace. I looted that place and gave you your second life. Do you want to reconsider your statement?"
Blue Dragon: "*sigh* Yes, father."

Edit: Grammar.

@DragonParadox, can we get our loot identified? In addition to whatever he had in this chapter the Bey should have had lots of magical rings including this:

And for what we stole from the Office of Taxation it should have been everything here.
We hit it with Destruction. That ring? It's gone forever. Those robes, amulets, whatever else it may have had? Finished!

And to everyone who wants to make the Dragon Daenerys' companion: while I'm not against it, maybe we should hold off on giving it class levels? It should just hide during fights and not be an XP sink please.

Blue Dragon Wyrmling: School? Why must I attend school like some sort of hairless app?

Viserys: Because I said so. There is no room for ignorange in this family.

Blue Dragon: But I want to plan my conquest of Leng!

Viserys: School first, then homework, and only then are you allowed to plan your first conquest.

Blue Dragon: *sigh* Yes, father.
Well, it starts with 6 Draconic HD worth of skillpoints and all knowledges are class-skills.
If it has any trouble with the material in school its really its own fault.

???
Destruction.
"This spell instantly slays the subject and consumes its remains (but not its equipment and possessions) utterly."

Hunting undead, Dothraki, more undead ...

Read the spell.

Destruction

This spell instantly slays the subject and consumes its remains (but not its equipment and possessions) utterly. If the target's Fortitude saving throw succeeds, it instead takes 10d6 points of damage. The only way to restore life to a character who has failed to save against this spell is to use true resurrection, a carefully worded wish spell followed by resurrection, or miracle.

So the ring, robes, amulets, and whatever else it might have had, are not gone forever. They're ours.

EDIT: Double facelessed.

Nope.
Destruction – Spell – D&D Tools

EDIT: Triple Faceless'd! :ninja::ninja::ninja:

Wow, that sure got the thread enthusiastic!

This blue Dragon should not get class levels. Maybe we can Powerbuild it with good feats and spells, but that should be it. At best it should get a Sovereign Archetype to represent whatever we decide to teach it.
So in the quest the Dragon would be a nice character piece and maybe even scout like Varys, and in the time after the quest it would grow into a useful tool (but never one that could be a problem to the Empire).

Alternatively we could try to make it an asset versus our top 5 world ending crisis? And that the dragon emperor commands fearsome dragons ...

This is what the Dragon handbook has to say about the Blue Dragon:

Blue (MM) 6HD/4LA small – breath weapon: electricity, bluff and spellcraft as class skills. The ECL sucks, but it has the skills to qualify for Ur Priest right out of the box, and so can make for a decent CoD-zilla type at high levels with a bit of cheese.

If you do want to give it class levels, not making it in Ur-Priest would be a crime! It's even spending time with Daenerys!

However, I would prefer not having yet another XP sink around. Therefore I would prefer just giving it a Sovereign Archetype (those come through training alone, no XP) and letting it grow in power with age.

.

Wrong. Flat 100% wrong. The corpse is destroyed by destruction, all items fall to the floor.

Edit: ah, in my enthusiasm to prevent emotional damage to some of our more 'caw' threadgoers, I replied to this before seeing the preceding four refutations.

I don't think it will be an XP sink for the main party anytime soon.
Far too weak, for a long time to come.

If it manages to get a good class, I'd send it out with the B-Party.

Edit: Age is completly irrelevant. It will not reach the next category in the boundaries of this quest.

That is my point. It should stick around and be like Varys, an interesting character foil but that's it.
[@DragonParadox Feeder doesn't talk much... Would he appear if Daenerys had this Blue around? And how about Maelor's Shadow Drake?]

Eventually it will age and be useful in combat, but not during the quest. That's what I wanted

Since blue dragons are naturally lawful evil social manipulators feel like we can train that to be productive in society, and it can learn at school to form bonds it wants to protect.

I just realized I had edited out the extra part with Zherys when posting a new beta-ed version of the update so I had to re-write it from scratch.

Sorry for any confusion it may have caused.

True, the chapter was getting rather large so I pushed it to the next decision point. What do you guys think should I expand in this chapter or the next?
Probably a bit late, but in this one. There's missing a bit of transition to this topic and it feels as if Zherys is randomly blurting that out.

You shouldn't feel the need to rush out a chapter if it becomes longer. We gladly wait for it.

So, courtesan in we got our leads from, how do we pay her?

Or is this a "we're not paying someone who helped us" sort of thing?
