What's the new expedition's aim, btw? I really want to capture a couple Diplodocus for SD, we want to know if we can train those too.
Here's the section from the turn plan.

-[] Southern Journeys: Sothoryos holds many dangers and just as many opportunities for those who would dare to reap them. There as in no other place you have visited, monsters stride across the face of the earth and even the common beasts of the Jungle could put entire armies of men to flight.
--[] Delve into the necropolis of the Serpent Folk. While there, bargain with Rez'Nith to possibly take the non-sentient Serpentfolk off their hands, and if it seems possible, attempt to locate and capture the non-sentient Surface Dweller Serpentfolk.
---[] Assigned (7 Days): Kira, Argo, Bronn, Mercy, Vaelana, Svitran the Dreamer

Small question, will Valaena be back for a day during the conference?
We could fetch her.

She'll want to see her father and maybe meet the interplanar VIPs at least once.

I'm greatly in favor of sending her to Slavers Bay due to the company she will have there. It's great groundwork for the conference by having her meet and interact with the colorful personalities in our service and seeing for herself that we are dominating the Plane of Balance and what kind of shit-stains the other polities are.

[X] Send her to fight the Ghiscari

In before she purchases all the unsullied for a genuine "Three Wishes", overthrows Astapor, humiliate Yunkai and conquers Mereen!

@Artemis1992, the Sothoryos action is happening from the 3rd to the 9th.

The conference is from the 14th to the 18th.

Valaena will be free for the 14th and the 15th, during which she can pop in and meet everyone. On the 16th is when the Riders of the Storm action is scheduled to take place.

"It seems disrespectful of any life, even your own to make it a thing to be used up," Lya interjects. "Men are not pigs to be slaughtered for convenience, their deaths should not be a tool."
I understand that for nation-building purposes changing that particular trait was immensely helpful but it still pains me we managed to turn Lya Neutral from Good.

Yes, that should do it... In retrospect I may have had to set the DC higher, but what's done is done.

Yes, though it would also retcon enchantment bonuses to knowledge out of existence. Also it would require that the participating in the ritual study for it.

What do you guys think?
Even if I am late for this my understanding of Erinyes' enormous sense of Pride should prevent them from using those cheap substitute of their own skills.

If we're going to send her into actual danger, why not do it after the Conference?

I am really looking forward to how that Anti-Harpy action is going to blow up.

Not if, how.
We are packing a lot of very different personalities in there.
Though I trust Garin to settle things adequatly.

They are pretty pragmatic when it comes to avoiding utter oblivion.
I appreciate this. I don't want to lose any of the Erinyes, especially after we fought an Archduke to get Mereth and used to recruit Leto, and Malarys spent his own XP to get us the other eight.

By the way, @DragonParadox, how's the Sothoryos expedition going? Did Riz'Neth receive the explorers in welcome or does he rather we not explore the necropolis without doing something for him first?

Harpies and humans are relativly harmless to her, not that they couldn't defeat her, but she has a build for survival and flight.

Besides, we have Garin on the job, he can make sure anything threatening her gets stabbed first.
She shouldn't look like a particularly tempting target either, people looking to shoot the mage first will go for Maelor, people going by HD for Garin, people looking for a fight against the Erinyes.

I'll do an interlude on that soon, but so far what's happening is securing the above ground areas of the city (which Rez'Neth sold as helping to find feral serpentfolk).
Fingers crossed for that going well.

I'm especially interested in Riz'Neth's reaction that we resurrected Svitran, and that Svitran is now a full Yss cleric.

"You know, finding lost serpentfolk would be easier if the ground here was a bit cleaner, i think i can procure some brooms for you. Also, the trees over there need trimming, serpentfolk might be hiding there"

Sothoryos is much more dangerous then Slavers Bay. Ridicoulusly more dangerous to be precise. Remember that surprise spider-demon that was a true challenge for a core party of five people?

In Slavers Bay, she will be part of a large contingent of mid-level PC's, aided generously by Yrael and only facing a bunch of harpies. I see no reason for her to be in any actual danger there unless she does something tremendously stupid and even then, the amount of backup available means they can easily bail her out. If she does something stupid in Sothoryos? She's dead. Perma-dead.

"Nothing brings out serpentfolk like slow-roasted, honey-basted duck-bill lizards, dont be shy with the sauce! They can tell if its dry! Turn It a bit more, yeah, like that, let me try a bit to see if its ready"

The part of Sothoryos they would be in isn't that dangerous.

They are literally going into a cryt with recently disturbed undead.
Meh, the Serpentfolk living down there could survive and thrive. It can't be that bad.

The Ghiscari are starting to get up to some heinous shit. There's no telling what they've Summoned up or bargained with for extraplanar assistance. Or just more power.

Eh, I can't really weight the chance of the Ghiscari making trouble against the risk of the jungles and crypts of Sothyros, but by gut feeling the latter sounds worse.

Before we leave, there's a slight problem -- we never actually bought any crafting materials. We got everything else we needed, which is great, but yeah. Bit of a problem there.

Can we take care of that before going home? I'm getting a feeling we're running pretty low, especially with the 20,000 IM of crafting materials that the Artifact Cloak is going to eat up.
