Mainly because of the annoyance when something stops being a sacrifice because it's "too easy", like the Eyewings, and even just now there was a fuss being raised about the spiders potentially being too easy to be considered sacrifices.
Conceptual difference.

One is about fuelling a forge, so everything that burns goes.
The other is about sacrifice, which has a meaning and connotations that usually differ from "anything with a pulse and some things without".

I'd also love to dedicate some time next month.

Fortunately for us the Grand Vizier's mission for raiding the whaling fleet of the City of Brass is nowhere close to urgent, so that can be tabled for now.
Yeah. No.

We want these people to like us, so we should get started on doing the work we signed up for. Especially as it will result in large sums of cash and a pile of magic items and sacrifices. To say nothing about another shot at Lya studying the local airship designs.

What else is there this turn?

Something like Songs and Glories could be easily axed.
Wasn't there a huge agreement last turn that we should kinda get started on an actual spy / informant / propaganda network around the world?

Yeah. No.

I'm pleasantly surprised, to say the least. No complaints on my end.

Can we start by getting the Bey of Beggars? I have a lot of things I want to loot from him.

Ah. That.

One has to wonder how Dalla gets anything from a few peasants with a ECL of 10.
It's probably because while Dalla has no problem capturing those Peasants, they are of her own specie, so sacrificing them actually have some emotional impact, summoning and sacrificing endless amounts of Eyewings on the other hand, have no impact in any way, sure the emotional impact isn't much with the peasants(who aren't peasants by the way, Dalla adopt peasants into the tribe, who she sacrifice is Septons and warriors) but Dalla feel emotions at the sacrifice, even if that emotion is mainly satisfaction at seeing Andals die.

Volantis is scheduled next for Viserys, and that of all things really should not be axed.
No, no. I like the idea of axing Volantis. Just kill'em all and let Lya sort out their souls later!

I entirely agree with all this. Agreement reiterated.

Nah. That's bad tactics and we need to wait on our Mindblank gear before we have even a chance at this not turning into a trap.

Go after merchants, whalers and what not for now. Once the Efreeti have to divert troops to protect them, the Bey will have fewer soldiers available.

Why not assign that raiding to Amrelath, raiding is pretty much the ideal job to give him, and once we has transferred him to his new body, he can serve as a rallying point by being a red dragon, like they intend us to, probably not quite as well, but making it mainly Amrelaths task, with us doing it when we have time, sound like a good plan to me.

That's wasting perfectly good loot. I definitely want him to tag along, but no way he gets all the cash for this while the pickings are easy.

Depending on the volume of trade there we could both raid ourselves and let him do some solo-work.
We'll see when we get there.

My basic raiding plan is to have two groups. One led by TD Viserys, the other by Amrelath. At least two more companions per team.

When all is said and done, we can engage in the time honoured draconic past time of comparing piles of loot.

Loud action will call for the effetri to hunt us, which might spill over into damaging actions that cost time when the direct route fails for them.

The viser did mention a more subtle route, but no details on what it involves.

The Mind Blank items we commissioned will be done next month. With Richard, the three Mind Blank items, and Dany being able to use the Telepath template to place Mind Blank on someone, we will be able to field a five party member team immune to Divination.
