I posited sometime ago that a lot of Legionnaires are ironically more likely to be LG or at a minimum LN than they are to be among any of the Evil spectrum because of our constant rhetoric.

I found that somewhat ironic, because they're the literal black jackboots who people fear to see landing on their shores, but "they are here to help!"
We'd happily accept Evil legionnaires as well so long as they follow orders and don't break our laws. People like Malarys would be perfect.

Chaotic Evil is out, though.

Most of the Chaotics are out. If they can't follow orders then they're not going to make it.

Only the enemies of our empire will fear seeing our Legionnaires, for the common citizen seeing the Legion will mean the horror is about to stop, the magic bandits are about to be taken out, the Fiends are about to be killed, the brainwashed thralls of the Illithids are about to be freed or put to rest, they are only to be a symbol of fear to our enemies, to our citizens they are to be a symbol that the recent horror is ending, and the Emperors peace is about to be reinstated.

I have my doubts about the true alignment of the legions. Great pay and good equipment would make an CN sellsword join too.

Yeah they might start out as almost any alignment, but the propaganda and job description is likely to push them towards LN/LG, so while LE might join just as much, it's more likely that LE legionnaires become LN Legionnaires with time, than it is that LN legionnaires become LE legionnaires with time.

Honestly, with our benefits I can see any alignment join.
Most, even the chaotic ones, will propably be in it for the money, pension and insurance. Many with those alignments can propably bear some discipline and orders in exchange for that.
CG get to free slaves and help the oppressed. Indeed many are likely former slaves.
And I have noo doubt that many of the Lawful types believe in Viserys' vision for the future, though Good, Neutral and Evil might disagree on the details of said vision.

Are we gonna keep discussing then or put a plan to vote? Else I'll go ahead with my suggestion.

[X] Inquire while dsguised as a Tyroshi magister in Volatis who lost faith in Trios and wants to try out a "real" god.
-[X] Once private, reveal ourselves, what we have learned about the Others, the Illithid, Daemons, Demons, and Devils, add Ymeri too, who can be threats to Volantis.
-[X] Discuss about having a cleric from Lys in SD inquiring about a temple to R'hllor

But unified in their love for their King!

GODS SAVE THE K--

GODS SAVE UP FOR THE KING.
"So, Viserys, now, you've been Emperor for a nice round 1000 years."
"I told him!"
"And Meraxes told me you humansdragons like nice numbers. Now, we've got a present for you."
"???"
"It's time you joined as a divine. Now, I"
"NO"
"Vi"
"NO!"
"It's too late. The legions pray to you, most of the citizens do so, too, your ressurected dragons do, yo"
"I WON'T BE RESTRICTED!"

I don't think that announcement has been made just yet, so this is a bit premature.

The Nameday Celebration:

Viserys: "I promise I won't get political."

14 minutes later...

Viserys: "I AM THE SENATE!"

-[X] First, talk to Teana and make sure she's okay. Her bitterness is understandable, but it needs to be addressed rather than be allowed to fester.
-[X] Contact Benerro via sending that you are in the city and would like to speak with him discreetly on matters of importance.
-[X] Approach the temple disguised as a merchant down on his luck with Teana, and Malarys in similar disguises.
--[X] Garin and Maelor in the meantime stay in the city and keep an ear out for more rumors and an eye out for a hopefully successful Glyra.
-[X] Once in private, reveal ourselves, what we have learned about the Others, the Deep Ones, Fiends, and Ymeri, who are all threats to Volantis.
-[X] Set about to negotiating for Benerro's cooperation for keeping the city of Volantis in order when the time comes.

If anyone has a better way to address the thing with Teana I'm open to suggestions. Similarly, the party members don't all need to be there, so if there's something better for them to do then I'd be happy to reassign them so long as it's worthwhile.

@egoo counting Meraxes as an important God on the level of Yss and OG while calling the Moonsingers worthless is pretty silly imo, considering that there has been no push at all to increase the influence of the Moonsingers while people already want to build a super temple for Meraxes.
I think you misunderstood a point I was making in my comment a bit.
In that short list I was just listing what specialisations gods we have (and Meraxes) would cover in our Empire.
Moonsingers, Burny, various small religions?
Very general, and don't have near as much specialisation in any specific field as those I listed.

Also, I am very much in favor of making Moonsingers a stronger religion in our lands.
If only because they'are natural at countering Burny's advances.

As for why everyone jumped at Meraxes-train...
Well, LN gods are easy to deal with, so long as their tenets aren't shit, and her, thankfully, aren't.
She'll take fine to our established practise of blood sacrifice.
And she can do a lot of good to making our LN Empire more stable.

Moonsingers are great, but problematic to deal with in person, due to how many of our actions directly oppose their idea on how world should run.

Are we voting for "How do you address Benero?", because that's the last threadmarked story post? What am I missing?

What MTB said. The vote is on how we approach Benerro. I'm placing the seed of doubt, while in disguise and meeting an old acquaintance.

But your vote works too.

I don't think we should bring Garin into the temple.

Dany, Tyene, Garin, Maelor and Glyra have something to say about this discrimination against their alignment:V
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've made no secret about my disdain for Chaotic. Many a time has a plan been foiled thanks to that damnable alignment.
I don't think we should bring Garin into the temple.
Right. Removed.

The tally does work again! :D

Moonsingers are great, but problematic to deal with in person, due to how many of our actions directly oppose their idea on how world should run.

The Moonsinger's main tenet is freedom for all. Their stigma from blood magic stems from the blood fued between the origins of the faith among the Jogos Nhai, versus the Dark Gods of the Amazonian expy of the Patrimony of Hyrkoon, and the necromantic based civilization: N'ghai(Their last city being campaigned against by Tiamat's lackeys as of our setting here).

We have alternatives in sacrifing only fiends and endimg slavery whenever we go. That deserves her attention at least, freeing all those people in Tyrosh.

@DragonParadox, if we were able to beat up a living avatar sufficiently (for example, the Black Goat in Qohor), would you let us put it in a bottle for future sacrifice? Or are living avatars immune to that sort of thing and would we need to resort to sacrifice through either Yss' belt, a sacrifice spear of the Old Gods, or whatever sacrificial weapon we'd be able to get from the Merling King?
