The two rares poison are not that usefull to us for that price.

[X] archangis
[] Arsenic
-[] 3

[] Foxglove extract
-[] 10
Best poison is best poison ?

[] Hemlock bunch
-[]9

It's an entire plant, so we can probably grow it ourself.

Okay why do people want so much poison? Is there anyone they want to poison or what and why so much expensive shit?
Maybe try for less of everything and no tears of lys less likely to draw attention and you can always buy more...

I want to buy enough poison to not have to buy more poison for a while. Or till we get a garden set up at a discreet location. Also we are currently a member of a thief guild, good chance we may need poison. Also it not like Visery will need to poison someone again.

I changed the numbers to 3 of everything but the tears.

He do raisw a good point with the tears of Lys bringing attention. People will think someone is planning something.

oilworkers plan is winning and has no tears. Does the poison go bad? I'd buy less if we can only use it for a limited time.

I don't think I want to kill 12 people in the next few month. (opinion might change based on different circumstances)

[X] Arsenic
-[X] 10 grams: 200 Iron Marks
[X] Hemlock bunch
-[X] 9 bunches: 72 Iron Marks
[X] Tears of Lys (requires special order, will arrive in a month)
-[X] 1 dose: 300 Iron Marks

Total: 572 Iron Marks

Our current savings: 702-572=130 Iron Marks

Why did I not buy up more? Simple, best have cash on hand as a reserve even though we can obtain more for emergency that is in local coinage so as to not draw as much attention. As for the choices, I figured the common poisons will be useful if we wish to pursue the art of poison making (w/e D&D calls it) or for use against any shits we choose to experiment on. Lastly, the Tears of Lys though costly might prove useful in case we have to eliminate someone without any cause of death being attributed besides natural due to the nature of the poison.

Part LII: A New Beginning
A New Beginning

First Day of the Eleventh Month 289 AC

Things are settling into a new routine at Wind House. There are still many things you lack of course but fortune has greatly smiled upon you this past month. You wonder again if magic calls to magic or if the world itself is changing, making things of ancient withered magic shine with power once again. Did any Westerosi nobles find that some forgotten trinket now shows wondrous powers? Did any others awaken as you did to the Dragon blood or to other stranger powers?

Dany has also been finding her balance again and she looks content and is being kept quite busy between her lessons, weapons training and just playing and enjoying her childhood. She has an unusual drive to read according to Themar matched only by her apssion for tales of magic and elder days. Though the Volentine knows it not you suspect these two passions are connected. How many children after all have the promise of magic hidden in books.

Concerning more immediate magic lessons, Lya s making progress with magic though it is frustratingly slow for both of you. She keeps inquiring as to the whys and hows of magic and you feel like you are trying to explain the color blue or the sound of birdsong in the morning. It just is.

Monthly plan

Major actions. Choose three:

[] Meditate on the tumultuous visions that marked your awakening to power (3d100 XP, Possibility to exchange feats)
[] Learn more about how and where Gorthos' Thieves' guild operates (information)
[] Gorthos has received word of a supposed spirit caller that is surprisingly effective at parting noble fools from their gold. He would like you to offer this maegi the protection of the Old Man and the guild. (+1 oppinion with Gorthos, 30% of the protection money collected on success)
[] Yohn would like to to somehow get an unusually honest watchman under the guild's sway. (+1 oppinion with Yohn +30 Iron Marks on success)
[] Relor is cursing up a storm, all the animals in a betting ring from the rats and cocks to the dogs and the bear have vanished overnight. No one can imagine how exactly one manages to stealthily steal a bear (+oppinion with Relor)
[] Assassinate some of the opposing gang members in parallel to the attack by Yohn and his thugs (The guild's influence and wealth grows)
[] Deliver the Chalice to the Red Priests. As useful as it is it is not worth the risk. The Faith of the Red God is strong and will surely reward you well. You might even receive some new insight into magic if you are willing to reveal your power. (???)
[] Set up the household more effectively. Right now the control of the finances is directly yours and no one is really doing the books. (more efficient household management, get to know the servants)
[] You have a quite a lot of magic at your disposal but dare not use it as Corlys Waters for fear of drawing too much attention but what if one of the infamous shadowcallers from Asshai were to make his way to Braavos, man wearing a shroud of shades that seems to appear unlooked for and disappear without a trace (create mage alter ego)
[] Improve the quality of any part of Wind House that has a quality of at least 2 (write-in which)
[] Spend Major Action on training. Can be taken multiple times. Write-in which training action (Adds 1d100 to action progress)
[] Write in

Minor actions. Choose three:

[] It is Dany's birthday this month. While you can't celebrate it as befitting a princess you can give her a better one than she has ever experianced (Make Dany happy)
[] You have a power that allows you to see magic. Look around the bazaars for any trinket with actual power in it and then acquire it (???)
[] Tor Longstrider might know more of magic than he lets on approach him and see if you can come to some sort of mutually beneficial deal (write-in plan)
[] Menel Goldentooth is known as a smooth investor. See if you can get some advice from him about investing your money (investment options)
[] Meet with one or more of your new friends outside of "work." It is nice having people you can just talk to and they have already given you valuable information besides. (Write-in which)
[] You are feeling a bit homesick. Listen for rumors of the Sunset Kingdoms in Braavos so that you can at east have some news of home (information)
[] Place charm on the higher ups in the guild to get as much good will as possible by conditioning them to consider you a friend. Can be taken multiple times. (write-in target)
[] Visit the Maegi Mellore mentioned. It would be interesting to see if she truly has power (a potential contact, information)
[] Catalogue the library. While you are not expecting spellbooks there might be some gems lost among the dusty shelves. (library catalogued, collection can be properly expanded)
[] Open and clear the solar so that it can be put to use again
[] Find someone to fix the pipework before it dies entirely being without a source of easily available fresh water would be a disaster (Pipework quality +1)
[] Study the books you bought along with Themar to improve your supplement your aptitude for deception (circumstantial bonuses to bluff and deception when pretending to be Essosi nobility)
[] Spend Minor Action on training. Can be taken multiple times. Write-in which training action (Adds 1d50 to action progress)
[] Write in

Free actions. Choose however many you want:

[] Write-n

OOC: Free actions are meant to give flexibility if you want to say send a letter or ask one of your associates to do something without any supervision.

I'm willing to go with the flow on everything else. I just to make sure family still takes precedence.

Try to get him to talk about his nick name The Magician. Bring up your own interest in the Arcane. Ask for advice or lessons.

Taking 2 major actions giving us 5 minor actions. Doing a guild mission and making a new persona for us. Really using our new contact to invest some money, study our books, make Dany Happy, start fixing up the house. will come up with a write in for Tor, would not mind some suggestions.

Honestly the tears of Lys, despite their utility (in rare case) are completely overpriced for us.

They would be usefull for killing a king or something like that but we don't have any king to kill actually. Well, beside Robert, and we will actually murder everyone in the rebellion so just killing the king is useless to us.

So, we just spent 180 Iron Marks, enough to buy two houses, on highly specialized halucinogens. Why did we do that? If we need to make someone go berserk, and I can only imagine some convoluted plots that'd need that, we could have bought it in preparation. Or at most bought one.

Could have bought a bunch of Hemlock at a much lower price for an awesome poison that kills in minutes. Add in a couple Arsenic or Foxglove for more lethality in smaller doses to add flexibility and we'd be set and over a hundred marks richer.

We can't bleed money like this people.

Oilworker proposed pretty much what I'd pick, so eh.

[X] Plan build up

Oh yes, DragonParadox, both our longsword and crossbow are listed as 1d6 when they should be 1d8.

So definitely the birthday for Dany, maybe also the Maegi thing and the animal betting ring since that sounds like an angry druid.
