I don't understand in the slightest what is being decided here.
And still, I kind of dislike having to give away any control whatsoever to 3rd parties.

But, eh, if Azel says it's allright, then I'm willing to trust him.
Yes, I don't have my soul anymore. How did you guess?

Also, I'm for calling our state Imperium too.
If only because it sounds nice enough.

Admittedly, lately it's been grinding my gears a bit wrong that we're taking a lot of inspiration from Warhammer-verse, what with Inquisition being there...
But whatever.
Not the worst source, if not the most inspired.

@DragonParadox, what's scheduled next after negotiations with the Sealord are concluded?

Silver Eye business.

@DragonParadox, just something to point out, until the contract is signed, we don't really have a deal. Political realities aside, it's a rather lacklustre agreement if we have nothing signed and didn't even properly negotiate with the other involved party.

You have a goal to work towards and the (sincere according to Viserys' sense motive) agreement of the other party. It's simply to early to sign something like this even as a secret treaty when you do not even have an official alliance. After Pentos would be a good time to revisit matters.

@DragonParadox, will we get to poke and prod Alysande and see how she's grown and what magic/magic items she has now?

Did we bring our 11ft poking stick? :D

Screw it. We can bloodwish a plank into an 11ft pole.

Actually, serious question @DragonParadox, what's your ruling on fabricate being used on a pile of marble dust to make a single marble objet?

Edit: if we don't see the fairwinds, even just to drop them off to see their kids, I' will be a sad bunny.

I think it's more of a commiserating moment for Ferrego and Viserys, @Azel. They started out on a rocky ground, with lots of ups and downs, and now they're basically discussing the eventual and likely intergration of Braavos as a junior partner to Viserys' burgeoning empire.

He's basically saying, "this is the direction I've wanted to take things as soon as I realized the depths of your ambition", and the two of them are sort of hedging around what it will eventually look like, but he wants to know if Viserys will go for it when the time comes.

And yeah, we probably will.

Polity Flirting!

By the end of this trip I'm aiming to walk away with a list of Braavosi mages at least as detailed as the one we've got from Dorne.

Number of mages, class of each mage, what mini-organizations they're grouped into, etc.

Within the realm of finance which will reverberate to other aspects of rule naturally since most things require money.
Okay that's how they exert power but what exactly is their power to constrain us? Or rather, what is their degree of autonomy in doing so, is the decision arbitrary or are there metrics?

Can they cut road funding because they don't like what we're doing with textiles?

Are they requesting and approving an annual budget?

Edit:
And what about wartime funding, things like that get their own subsections.

Last Lake-administrator interaction, SILVER EYE WIZARD CLASS VARIANT RULES!

[ ] Agree, but also ask permission we can hand to the Silver Eye to learn about the capabilities and limitations of their paradigm of sorcery, for curiosity's sake. Mention that we are worried that the former Archon may be too obviously stupid to be used as a rallying point for the Sealords efforts, but if he wishes to have the option, it's probably either that or he goes to guantanamo Manterys, if the celistals ruling there don't mind. Oh, and we forgot to mention, as of the 13th of Second Month, we are (Over)Lord of Tolos. As ridiculous as the method of acquisition was.

So... Glyra and Maelor are dealing with some fey business and taking the Hydra back to SD.
We're dealing with Silver Eye (learn stuff from them, exchange lore and books, sell them identification ritual), dealing with Iron Bank, raising the Heart Tree (Shall we go to Lys right that moment to make an Advanced Druid Lotus Leshy, then?), then going to our unlawful associates to learn of fey operations and etc, and then learning of faiths in-depth?
Kay.

@DragonParadox, though, wouldn't it make more sense for Viserys to go to Iron Bank first now? It seems more an important matter than Silver Eye.

[X] Agree to the very rough outline for now, with the specific checks and balances to be worked out later.

Fine. Tabling specifics for now.

More time to draft a contract that way.

Dude, chap, ser! This is the last vote interaction with the Water-owner, class variant information permission request? :)

I should stop nagging :/
That should be covered under the cooperation and exchange agreement between Silver Eye and Inquisition.

Having River-Chief keep secrets during such an exchange would make the whole thing pointless.

No, however they will be able to influence government spending by the rates they set for government debt, influence your tax revenues and general economic growth by the way they treat requests for money by third parties. All their power will be soft power with no ability to force a decision, just incentivize in one direction or another.

Again, we've already voted on it. Doing it twice is pointless. Just assume that it's been handled and we can freely ask Alysande all the details. DP basically said as much here:
@DragonParadox, will we get to poke and prod Alysande and see how she's grown and what magic/magic items she has now?
Sure.

I pity the Archon that tries to make something redeemable out of that pitiable creature the Tyroshi called their Archon. And not just because of the irony the conflation presents.

It would be amusing if, after dumping the former Archon on Mantarys, a year later we come over and find he's done a complete 180, turned into a Lawful Good cleric who reads poetry to kids on the weekend and spends long hours doing charity work and healing refugee slaves from the East.

And upon seeing us, humbly begs our forgiveness, and to convey the same to his children if we're willing.

...I don't know if I want to be ill, or amused.

@DragonParadox when is the next Uncloaking again? Kinda want to know if we can use it to make or alliance with Braavos public by attending the party of the Bathtub-Supervisor again.

BTW I have a bit of a RL announcement to make regarding the update rate during the next little while. Friday to Tuesday I will be going on holiday to London and will likely be spending a significant portion of the day doing tourist things. Thankfully I will have wireless in the hotel room this time so there will hopefully be some updates, just not as many as usual.

And now back to our regularly scheduled Finances and Dragons.
