Which reminds me that I still want to make a close-combat Gish Arcanum.

@TotallyNotEvil, what would you suggest for a Weapon Finesse fighter? Elven courtblade or rather TWF, augmented by Heroics?

And would it help to spend a feat on a single manifester school?
Wouldn't an initiator build take advantage of the 'other classes count for initiator level' mechanics?

Courtblade or Spiked Chain so they can PA effectively.

What do you mean with the manifested school? Martial Study?

Manifesting is a psionic term IIRC.
I meant whatever the Tome of Battle stuff you gave Richard is called.

Why is the spiked chain so much better then other stuff?

I still have a few glaring holes in my melee knowledge, save for a single grapple monk I've made.

Making any sort of melee-focused Arcanum seems wasteful and risky to me. Unless they have a dedicated non-combat role, such as Crafter or Researcher, I would always focus them on mobility and range, either as a caster or another Aradia.

The Air Lore is too good in that regard to ignore, IMO.

Is is finesseable, but allows for Power Attack. It has reach, but automatically hits adjacent targets as well. And it allows tripping.

Initiating.

You are looking for Martial Study then. Remember, initiator level is HD/2, so you might even be able to swing second level maneuvers.

But each feat buys you one.

There was also a lot of doubt about Aradia at first and like her, this is mostly a thought experiment for now. We will see if the build is worth consideration when I'm done.

Main problem is more the price.
I was thinking Water / Air for DEX and then Fire for auto-haste and a CHA boost. Add Positive for Fast Healing and another CHA boost.

Now add a reskinnes Snowflake Wardance that is activated by sacrificing spell-slots to translate all that CHA into PAIN.

I was thinking Drain Vitality and another feat for Assassin's Stance to get her Sneak Attack.

Am getting flashbacks to that Lannister / Lotr crossover fic now. Hopefully its only that computer part DP needed to replace that gave out.

Personally, I'm getting back home for lunch after a tired morning of uni. Now have to study for tests tomorrow... how can I procastinate with no ASWAH???

  • [X] Plan Preliminary Talk
-[X] Recast Voice of the Dragon, Air of Nobility, a Divine Insight and hide the auras by using Bloodwish: Greater Magic Aura.
    -[X] Introduction:
--[X] Fly to the temple in your full dragon form, land on the steps and transform back for the talk. A low-level Archon and Dany accompany you.
--[X] Let the Archon introduce you as Viserys Targaryen, Dragon Lord, King of the Stepstones, Lord of Sorcerers Deep, Archon of Tyrosh, Daemonslayer, Breaker of Chains, Enemy of the Great Other.
--[X] It's a official function, so we should announce ourselves properly. Using the Archon to bolster our street cred as the good guy.
-[X] Thank the Red Priests for the offer to aid you in stabilizing the city and ending slavery. Though you had to reject the offer due to military concerns of adding the Fiery Hand to the fray, you appreciate the offer in the spirit it was given.
--[X] Translation: You are aware what they wanted to achieve with that move, especially the "condition" they had set. You will not give them the recognition they seek for empty gestures like that.
--[X] Also note your surprise at their desire to aid with the freeing of the slaves in Tyrosh. While the Red Faith has always been prolific among the slaves, you have not yet seen them object to practice itself.
-[X] Talk about the future of the Red Faith in Tyrosh:
--[X] Slavery is no longer in Tyrosh. All slaves are free now, which includes any serving their temple. We will not force the congregation to disperse, but any who wish to leave can do so with the full protection of the law. Likewise, the Red Faith is not exempt from the laws prohibiting slave-trade.
---[X] If any wish to leave, mention that our laws stipulate a reimbursement of slaves, seized from their previous owners, so that they can start a new life. Leave a pregnant pause after that statement and unless the priest offers to do so, proclaim that you will see that the leaving slaves get some coin from the royal coffers.
----[X] This is mostly to gauge the Reds reaction, especially to a potential confrontation. Not worth it to push for a escalation here, but it costs them face to refuse, while complying is a good sign for future cooperation.
--[X] Talk about the Fiery Hand and that such a large force of fighters to protect the temple will no longer be necessary soon, since you plan to bring order, law and peace to the slums.
---[X] Not outright ordering them to be disbanded, especially since we couldn't enforce it now, but by applying pressure here, we can make some concessions by offering postings for former Fiery Hand members in other institutions like the garrisons, lawmen, Legion or similar. It is vastly preferable to have known plants there then having to find hidden plants.
--[X] Talk about the faiths in Tyrosh, especially in the face of the Daemon infestation. See what he has to say about Zagreus and Trios and mention that you will bring temples of the gods of Sorcerers Deep to Tyrosh, beginning by growing a Godswood sanctified by the blood of Daemons and their insane servants.
---[X] This is an opener for the Reds to start talking about were they see their future in Tyrosh.
--[X] With their rection to our prodding and a chance for them to make their own case, we can proceed with the actual negotiations.
[X] Send a message to the priest that they can apply to become a state-approved religion at the Archon's Palace as soon as we have an administration going.
-[X] Until then they can do their thing, but all specific laws regarding them or religions in general are not active.

So, possible solutions to get ASWAH back on track.

I'm just taking it cool until DP is back BUT GUYS I THINK WE SHOULD FORM A STRIKE TEAM TO PREFORM A TACTICAL INSERTION IN ROMANIA. WE NEED A JET PILOT, FIVE GUYS WITH AN ATTITUDE, A ROMANIAN TRANSLATOR AND THE BIGGIEST, HEAVIEST D&D LOREBOOK YOU CAN FIND, PREFERABLY WITH EXTERNAL HANDHOLDS SO IT CAN BE USED AS A BLUNT INSTRUMENT----

:oops::oops::oops::ninja:

I can get the Romanian translator on short notice, but the rest is up to y'all.

Heck, a computer part? We should Patreon him a desktop superpowered PC. Maybe even a better internet connection if enough people chipped in...

I mean, this is practically DP's dayjob.

I'd normally agree, since DP has more than earned it, but the problem is that this is an ASOIAF quest. DP making money off of it could open him up to legal trouble, especially since GRRM isn't fond of fanfiction in general.

If there's a way around potential legal trouble, though, we should definitely go for it.
